Blanckensee & Son Ltd, Chester 1922, with silver-plated liner (the egg a/f, top cracked and base broken), 16.5 cm high; 2. a French novelty pewter table-lighter with a dog head on a column base, 14.1 cm high; 3. an early 19th century brass pounce pot, 7.1c m high; 4. an enamelled and parcel-gilt glass covered box, 18.5 cm high (finial repaired, small chips to rim and two feet); 5. an antique horsehair fly-whisk; 6. a vintage framed Akkadian Cylinder Seal souvenir; 7. an ebonised desk thermometer; 8. a pewter cauldron salt.
A 19th century copper saucepan, the handle stamped Gaskell and Chambers, 26cm diameter, three further saucepans and two pan covers, each with a steel or brass handle, a 19th century brass and steel trivet, the geometrically pierced top upon iron supports, 23cm wide, along with an E.Robinson & Co, Shrewsbury brass and copper thermometer holder, 40cm long (8)
Late 19th century walnut cased regulator wall clock, together with a chromium plated Smiths 8 day desk clock and a combination barometer / thermometer (3).Clock is in reasonable condition. Missing two finials. There is no key so we don't know if it's in working condition. No signs of woodworm.Please see our website for additional images

A Pocket Surgical Set, English, late 19th/early 20th Century by Evans & Co, stainless steel, comprising two forceps, a Brodie’s director, a cased thermometer, a case containing needles, a cased hypodermic syringe, a two-blade lancet and an empty case, contained in a fitted stainless case engraved ‘A. Crichton Lupton R. A. M. C.’ – 13.2cm. x 6.9cm. x 2.5cm. Note: Records show that Alfred Crichton Lupton served as Surgeon-Lieutenant with the Coldstream Guards in 1898 and as a Surgeon-Captain in the South African Campaign (Second Boer War) in 1899-1901. He was made a Major in 1905.

Thomas Harris & Son: a George III mahogany wheel barometer, c.1830, with 12" dial, cross banded with boxwood edge and line inlay, brass urn finial with a swan neck pediment, above a hydrometer, thermometer and a small convex mirror, large silvered dial, and a spirit level at the base engraved 'T Harris & Son London', 35.5 x 6.3 x 126cms high.Notes: Thomas Harris & Son were opticians to the Royal family and had branches across London from 1806 to after 1900. They occupied the premises at 52 Great Russell Street (opposite the British Museum) between 1817-1887. PROVENANCE: The Graham Smith Retirement Auction - 50 years in the Antiques Trade.
