A collection of ten airship related illustrations or adverts, all framed, mounted and glazed (22cm x 31cm in dark blue frames, pale blue mounts). [1] “The King’s Message to the Royal Air Force” dated 11th November 1918 a certificate bearing the message on cream, bonded paper. Title in red, as are the initial letters of the subsequent paragraphs. This copy was issued to AH Adams who was serving at RNAS Pulham. [2] “Motor Launch Patrol taking in a dispatch lowered from an Airship”. A full page monochrome illustration from a British publication (c1918) [3] A full page colour illustration of the US Airship Macon being moored to the mobile mast, as seen from the foot of the mast. [4] “That’s the end of one Zep.” A full colour plate illustration of a burning Zeppelin crashing into the sea, figures of the crew leaping to safety from the control car. (c1916) [5] “The largest non-rigid Airship ever built” A Goodyear Aircraft advertisement for War Bonds, showing the new M1 airship of 1943.
