WILHELM ZWICK for KAYSER; a 1930's pewter coloured composition novelty inkwell and pen tray modelled as an early Mercedes Benz racing car with recess for inkwell beneath the bonnet, signed "W. Zwick" to reverse, length 39cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bonnet (the hinged lid for the inkwell compartment) has been smashed into two pieces and the hinges need replacing, there are a couple of small shards missing from the material too, the left figure has had his head crudely reglued, the inkwell is missing.

Belonging to the last of its four previous keepers for seven years (2005-2012), the 300SL was maintained during that time by marque specialists T.W. Neale Motors of Dudley. The car featured a two-door monocoque bodyshell with independent suspension and disc brakes all-round. Over its phenomenal 18-year reign, the R107 range was powered by eight different engines - two sizes of straight-six and six versions of Mercedes-Benz's silky smooth V8. The V8-powered 560SL was manufactured from 1986 to 1989 and only offered in the US, Japanese and Australian markets.
