Matchbox Regular Wheels original but cut down printers sheet of unstamped Regular Wheel Boxes - please see previous Lot 4516 in our 30/07/2020 sale for an image of a complete un-cut sheet which these have come from - this part sheet covers Type D4 Boxes for 3 x 9c Merryweather Fire Engine & 21c Commer Milk Float; 2 x Type E1 Boxes for 29c American La France Fire Pumper; Type E2 Box without "New Model" for 31c Lincoln Continental illustrating blue model and Type E3 Box without "New Model" for 27d Mercedes 230SL. The original full size sheets would have been stacked and then stamped out to produce the flat pack boxes which were then sent to Lesney Products for use on the assembly lines. Printed by Bowaters and dates from approximately 1966 - Good Plus with some light creasing & staining.

Please note: body tarnished, a previous owner has tried to improve this using fine grade sandpaper on the hood & trunk, but unfortunately this has made matters worse rather than better!

Matchbox Superfast Factory Working Drawing for an unreleased model of a Tri-Axle Leyland Ergomatic Container Truck based on an extended 60a Leyland Site Hut Truck, the front plan of which clearly shows the model fitted with wide Superfast wheels. Unfortunately the date of the drawing has not been recorded and was probably one of many similar models the R&D department would suggest as modifications of existing but obsolete tooling. In the mid 1970's the German Market had made it's wishes known that more realistic models were required to compete against Majorette & Siku, both of which were hurting market share within Germany. One of the models mentioned was a Container Truck, which was eventually released as 42c Mercedes Container Truck, but perhaps this was an initial proposal to satisfy that request? An interesting drawing nevertheless - Good to Good Plus factory folded with some staining & graffiti, please also note that this drawing is in a reverse mirror image to the original!
RARE: ROLEX SUBMARINER JAMES BOND 'BIG CROWN FOUR LINER' 6538 AUTOMATIC WRIST WATCH, model 6538, dated 1958, the round black dial with rare 'four line' printing in silver and gold, lume plot hour markers, outer seconds track in gold, Mercedes hands with lume inserts, bidirectional bezel with black aluminium insert featuring red triangle and luminous pearl, 37.5mm case with iconic 'Big Crown', on a stainless steel riveted bracelet with foldover clasp, lacking box and papersMOVEMENT: Ticking at present. WEAR: Well worn. DIAL: Fair condition as far as the eye can see.BEZEL: Heavily worn as images show. CRYSTAL/ACRYLIC: Fair condition, some scratches visible. HANDS & MARKERS: Intact. Some loss of lume. CROWN: Intact. BRACELET/STRAP: Generally worn. There are scratches on either side of the case at the model and serial number however they do not obscure the numbers.
