2006 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG F1 Performance Package Transmission: automaticMileage:127116The fifth generation of the legendary SL series of two-door convertible sports cars was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario Roof, a first for the SL class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997. The flagship models were built by AMG in the form of the SL55 and SL65, both highly tuned versions of the SL500 and SL600 respectively. The SL55 was powered by a mighty supercharged version of the 5.5 litre, V8 which produced 493bhp and achieved 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph (governed). In theory the SL55 could reach 190mph if the car was derestricted but for many, the acceleration and top speed is impressive enough in its standard form. This F1 Performance Package was originally registered on 3rd May 2006. These are exceptional cars, styled to perfection, great ergonomics and performance that must be experienced to be believed. This example has been enjoyed immensely, hence the mileage, although the most important thing is it has been well maintained. We are advised she drives very well and the roof works problem free. Finished in silver with black leather interior, this SL55 does have some age-related marks to the paintwork and will require some attention. However, this is a very competitively estimated Mercedes-Benz AMG and one that is supplied with a V5 document, a current MoT test certificate valid until 28th April 2023 and service history. These stylish sportscars are magnificent to drive and are hugely popular due to their ability to sit in traffic or travel at exceptional speed (where permitted) in comfort.Interested parties should note that the registration number MBZ 7000 is being retained by the owner and is NOT supplied with the vehicle.

Lot 134

1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Transmission: automaticMileage:31115Mercedes-Benz set out to build the best luxury car in the world and for the duration of the 1980s the W126 C-Class succeeded admirably in achieving this goal. The W126 model employed a new range of light alloy V8 engines and a more aerodynamic shape over the previous S-Class, significantly improving fuel consumption. Initially available in two versions, the 380 SEC and 500 SEC, each powered by a single-overhead cam V8 engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection and four-speed automatic transmission, the big Benz coupé enjoyed effortless performance. At the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show three new models were unveiled, the 420 SEC, 500 SEC and a new flagship badged the 560 SEC, along with further mechanical improvements including dual-range (Sport and Economy) automatic transmission, revised 15€ alloy wheels and upgraded brakes. The lower body sills were redesigned, giving the SEC a cleaner look, while the 560 model benefited from 215/65 tyres, ABS, speed-sensitive suspension and various interior upgrades. The 560's M117 V8 engine was rated at 300bhp, with 325lb/ft of torque on tap, resulting in a top speed of 150mph with acceleration to match. The car in our sale is the top of the range, with the most powerful engine available (5.6 litre rated at 300bhp).First registered on 1st August 1990, this flagship S-class Coupé is presented in Metallic Blue with cream leather trim and has been privately owned by the current owner for 15 years. Just five former keepers can be found on the logbook, the past two owners can account for motoring back to 1999 when the car had covered a mere 18,291 miles; it has been cherished ever since with a current mileage of a mere 31,113. With a fully detailed history file, this Mercedes-Benz has been cared for by main dealers or Mercedes-Benz specialists. Supplied with the V5 registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until June 2023, this is an iconic flagship coupé loaded with 1990's technology. Few of these remain on the road and hardly any in this condition with a silky smooth 5.5 litre V8 engine.

Lot 137

2008 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG L Transmission: automaticMileage:47468The wizards of Affalterbach, creators of the AMG company in 1967 which became the official engine tuner for Mercedes-Benz in 1999. The Mercedes-Benz W221 was the chassis code of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the successor of the S-Class W220. The S-Class are the flagship vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and each generation typically introduces a range of technical innovations and developments that over time will find their way into smaller cars. The Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, the most powerful top of the line S-Class model made, was even more appealing thanks to a series of subtle yet extremely effective fine-tuning measures, the performance saloon is even more striking and priceless than ever before. The updated technology is aimed at ensuring a more dynamic driving experience as well as optimum active and passive safety. Exclusivity and dynamism combined with effortless superiority and state of the art technology, the top S-Class model from Mercedes AMG embodies all these characteristics and more. The AMG six litre bi-turbo V12 engine of the S65 AMG delivers maximum power of 612hp and maximum torque of 1000 Nm, accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. The saloon is electronically limited to 250km/h. Despite no changes having been made to the engine data and performance values, it has still been possible to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to three percent. The S65 continued to use the five-speed gearbox, because it can handle the higher torque of the engine, as opposed to the seven-speed transmission. This fabulous Mercedes-Benz epitomises luxury in every aspect. The Obsidian Black coachwork is unmarked with a deep rich shine and the Nappa black with cream, diamond stitched interior oozes luxury. Fire-up the engine on this 6.0 litre saloon and suddenly you realise this is the ultimate 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. However this S65 is as happy sitting in traffic as it is powering down the Autobahn. With ergonomics that other manufacturers can only aspire to, this Mercedes-Benz is a delight to travel in, whether that is as a driver or passenger. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate, at the time of writing the service history has been misplaced. However, the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. Available at a fraction of the price when new, taking into account the modest mileage, this appears to be exceptional value for money.

Lot 153

1988 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL Transmission: automaticMileage:44500The 560 SL convertible was the latest in Mercedes-Benz's long and much loved line of luxury sports cars. Launched in 1983 it could trace its lineage back to the 230 SL of 1963. The 560 SL was powered by a 5.5 litre, overhead camshaft V8 engine producing 227bhp, an output good enough for a top speed of 220kmh with 100kmh reachable in around eight seconds. There were improvements to the running gear in the form of anti-dive, anti-squat rear suspension, a limited slip differential and revised steering geometry. The 560 SL has a high level of standard equipment, included leather upholstery, anti-lock braking, an anti-theft alarm system, stereo radio/cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and an improved climate control system. This lovely example of this sought-after model is presented in original European specification (not the US specification with ugly bumpers!) and was delivered new to Japan in 1988. It is presented in silver with black interior, factory hardtop and a black hood which we believe has never been used. This luxurious sports car also comes with its original Becker stereo, original books and service history, and was previously dry stored for 20 years and only recommissioned by the present owner recently. It has heated front seats, cruise control and climate control. These are rare cars and with low mileage, this represents a fine addition to any classic car stable. Offered with No Reserve, this surely must be one of the best opportunities available today!

Lot 162

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL California Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:74809The stylish Mercedes-Benz W113 was presented at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show and replaced both the expensive 300 SL and entry-level 190 SL with one medium-priced two-seat sports car. The SL was a huge success, with 48,912 sold in nine years, and is now considered a true masterpiece. The body combines the elegantly trim look of contemporary Mercedes saloons with a simple grille derived from the 300 SL. Bela Barenyi conceived the patented concave hardtop, soon called the 'Pagoda.' Like the best designs, the W113 has proven to be timeless in its appeal. We are pleased to offer an exceptionally fine example of one of the rarer designations for these cars, the 'California Coupé', with the single bench seat as designated by option '417' on its factory record. Offered with an original owner's manual, service book, V5 registration document and various bills and receipts this Pagoda style Mercedes has undergone a photographic restoration and presents extremely well in blue with a black interior. This right hand drive automatic example is a timeless blue chip ultra-rare classic and given recent sales appears to be reasonably estimated.

Lot 183

1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Cabriolet (3.5 Litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:56536Publicly displayed for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1967, the car quite rightly caused a sensation. For buyers that were in the market for a convertible there was no finer choice than the 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet, it was the fastest, most lavish, and most expensive convertible offered by Mercedes-Benz. For those who appreciate the finest things in life, this car more than lived up to those expectations. A silky-smooth ride was courtesy of a delightful V8 engine that was manufactured using a cast-iron block and aluminium cylinder heads, each equipped with a single overhead camshaft. Capable of reaching speeds around 125mph and 0-60mph in less than ten seconds, performance is best described as brisk. Inside the car, passengers are treated to the level of understated elegance that one would expect in a car of this calibre and financial investment. Burled walnut dashboards and sumptuous leather seating ensured that the passengers not only drove in style, but in utmost comfort. Equipped with automatic transmission, air conditioning, electric windows and a radio were all standard fitments. This stunning, highly desirable and collectable,  original 111.027 3.5 litre 280 SE Cabriolet is finished in deep green with contrasting biscuit leather trim and tan hood. The car is in fabulous order and a credit to an extensive restoration and recommissioning in the early 2000's. As with all 280SE Convertibles, the interior is the real 'pièce de resistance' along with chromework, of which there is a plentiful supply on this car. Originally supplied to the USA, the car went through an exhaustive mechanical overhaul by Mercedes-Benz specialist Black Forest in Glendale, Wisconsin before being purchased by the current owner from William Loughran in the UK in 2011. This Mercedes-Benz has been the pride and joy of the present owner and he has had it stored for several years.  Recently, serviced and maintained by Windrush, this rare luxury cabriolet looks fabulous.  This is an ideal classic, perfect for every driving especially when the sun comes out, providing open top touring and attracting admiring glances everywhere. Supplied with a tool roll, a V5/C registration document, original book pack and invoices, this 3.5 litre, 280 SE Cabriolet is the perfect example for the discerning collector. This is the one to have!

Lot 188

1998 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Transmission: automaticMileage:71279Following the resounding success of the R107, the R129 Mercedes-Benz SL had a rather tough act to follow, and it still had to carry on the tradition of a fast and reliable grand touring convertible. The advantage designers had with the R129 was technology. The new SL500 featured many new and innovative ideas, such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding roll-over bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. In addition to this was a fully operating electric hood, windows, door mirrors and seats. The SL boasted a more powerful engine and the stopping power was aided by anti-locking braking for added reassurance. Originally registered in May 1998 this striking Mercedes-Benz limited edition presents extremely well in the rare colour of Designo Vario Blue with a contrasting grey leather interior and AMG alloys. The removable factory hardtop is the desirable panoramic version. The driving experience of this V12 Mercedes is enhanced with the fitment of a part wood and leather steering wheel and the reassuring knowledge that during the vendors tenure this Mercedes has been impeccably maintained. The service file shows eight service stamps with a main agent and the well-known specialist Edward Hall of Worminghall. Offered to auction with a V5 and a valid MoT test certificate this wonderful Mercedes is realistically estimated and offers ideal summer enjoyment.

Lot 211

2008 Mercedes-Benz CL600 Transmission: automaticMileage:45500The CL Class is the coupé derivative of the S Class full size luxury saloon, upon which it shares the same platform. Formerly known as the SEC (Sonderklasse Einspritzmotor Coupé) and later S Coupé. After six years of development, the third generation was officially unveiled at the end of June 2006 and was presented at the 2006 Paris Salon. Like its predecessors, the C216 has no B pillar interrupting the sleek curve of the side windows. W216 is offered in four models, each with its own engine and transmission, the 5.5L V8-powered CL 500 the high-performance 6.2L V8-powered CL 63 AMG the ultra-luxury twin-turbo 5.5L V12-powered CL 600 and, lastly, the CL 65 AMG with a twin-turbo 6.0L V12 engine. The C216 makes use of the Distronic Plus cruise control, which debuted on the 2007 S-Class. This system is able to bring the car to a complete stop, and accelerate again to the pre-set speed, to keep a pre-set distance away from the car ahead of it. This Mercedes-Benz CL has also debuted with the new Active NightVision program that enables drivers to view the conditions in front of the car despite the dark surroundings. This flagship CL600 is presented in Metallic Silver with a contrasting leather trim. Offered with a comprehensive service history, this example was originally registered and serviced in Ireland and brought into the UK in 2017. It was recently serviced in January 2022 at Mercedes-Benz Chelsea at 45,127. These Coupés are renowned for their opulence and ability to eat up mileage and with the V12 engine and such low mileage, this example is certainly impressive.

Lot 217

1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:90000The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was introduced in December 1967 and continued in production until February 1971. An all new design by Paul Bracq to replace the 190 SL and 300 SL Roaster. The 280 SL had a powerful 2.8 litre version of Mercedes inline-six and used Bosch fuel injection. To save on weight the bonnet, boot lid and tonneau cover were all composed of aluminium. The nickname 'Pagoda' was quickly adopted thanks to the slightly concave roof on the optional removable hardtop that resembled a pagoda roof. The comparatively short and wide chassis, combined with an excellent suspension, powerful disc brakes and radial tyres gave the W113 superb handling for its time. These roadsters also have one of the most beautiful bodies produced in the 1960s. Thanks to their robust inline-six and their luxurious Mercedes interior, they are wonderful cars to be driven and enjoyed. The styling of the front paid homage to the legendary 300 SL with its characteristic upright Bosch 'fishbowl' headlights and simple chrome grille, dominated by the large three-pointed star in the nose panel. First registered on the 25th March 1970, this desirable larger engine 280 SL Pagoda with the fabulous automatic gearbox which was ahead of its time in the 70's has been owned by our vendor for the past five years and for 10 years by the owner before him. This has been a well-cared for SL and garaged when not enjoying the British sunshine, accompanied by the hardtop this example was treated in 2018 to a new mohair hood and shorty after all new walnut woodwork surround to the dashboard. Prior to our vendors ownership the car we are informed had the gearbox reconditioned and of recent has been cared for by Mercedes-Benz specialists Autoclass in Milton Keynes. Our vendor stated that short of a fully restored example they to do not come much better. A very well priced Pagoda in the best combination with the larger engine and sublime Mercedes-Benz-engineered automatic gearbox, coupled to an original UK car in iconic silver coachwork and blue interior.

Lot 228

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL Pagoda Transmission: manualMileage:93110The very pretty and highly desirable Mercedes-Benz 250SL was the successor to the popular 230 SL and was first introduced to the public at the 1967 Geneva Motor Show. The brief production run ended a year later in January 1968 and as a result of this short run, the 250 SL is the rarest of the W 113 (Pagoda) series cars. These lovely German stalwarts were offered with a four-speed automatic, a four-speed manual box or the ZF five-speed. Also, for the first time an optional limited slip differential was also available. This fabulous fully restored, including engine rebuild, Pagoda Mercedes is presented in red with black leather interior and is left hand drive. Its restoration was carried out by various Mercedes-Benz specialists and looks fabulous. The car had a full glass-out respray, brand new Mercedes-Benz grained leather interior including full dash, door cards, seats etc. Brand new salt and pepper carpets have been installed and brand new wood including dash and surrounds. The restoration also included a brand new Mohair hood, exhaust, headlights and rubber seals throughout, interior works carried out by leading marque specialists, D Class of Surrey cost in excess of £16,000. The full list of the works carried out can be seen in the history file as well as the summary of the engine work which was carried out and it has covered zero miles since its completion. As part of its engine rebuild, it received a full tune up and reset all settings and controls, reset mixture/tappets and clearances as well as draining the oil, brake fluid and the braking system was fully bled. The original documents held on file include its Service Book, stamped Mercedes-Benz Kundendienst, Germany.  Fastidious attention to maintaining originality including correct period Becker Europa radio, Hirschmann aerial and new Michelin tyres.  This truly is a superb restoration and is resplendent in its gleaming new red paint. One of the finest of this marque on the market today.

Lot 231

1988 Volkswagen Dehler Profi T25 Campervan Transmission: manualMileage:136214Dehler is a German brand of sailing yachts. It originated in the former Dehler shipyard that was founded in the 1960s by Willi and Heinz Dehler. As of 2009, the brand belongs to German yacht manufacturer Hanse Yachts, Greifswald. Dehler cooperates with the yacht design studio Judel/Vrolijk & Co.  Accustomed to building furnishings for tight awkward spaces on yachts, in the 80s Dehler decided to put their hands to high end bespoke VW camper conversions, a successful yet niche model line continued through the T3 series onto the later T4 the Dehler Profi. A successful run of around 5,000 units sold before the plug was finally pulled in 1997 after 16 years of production. At its peak, the Profi camper van had accounted for around 15% of Dehler's turnover, and the skilled use of lightweight ABS mouldings and other features in its interior probably had a beneficial influence on some aspects of the yacht designs. This stunning 1988 Dehler Profi T25 camper was imported into the UK from new in 1988 and has been in single ownership and garaged ever since. Presented in blue with coachwork in time warp condition this example has the high-top roof and accompanying awning. Looking through the photos and original brochures, the fit and finish of these Dehler vans is far superior to the Westfalia's and the like of the time. Indeed, even by modern standards they are relatively luxurious. Included is a full shower/wash area, cooker, and beds as you would expect. We are told the owner ordered the camper from the stand at a motorshow and specified his van be exactly the same as the one on the stand costing £28,000, which at the time was nearly three times a Westfalia camper and equivalent to an S class Mercedes or Range Rover. The owner from new built a garage specifically for the van and when it wasn't on holiday it has been garaged, he also decided to underseal from new which has added to the ability to be offered in such incredible condition. Recently serviced and recommissioned by camper specialists including new water pump, belts and fluid change. Supplied with the original brochure, invoices for annual servicing and MoTs dating back to 1990 and shipping documents showing the import duty of £4,775. With a 1.6 litre turbo diesel engine, factory air conditioning and an options list longer than your arm, the campervan is offered with a valid MoT test certificate until June 2023 and history file including many original documents from the manufacturer. This is a real collectors example, original yet 'out of the box', practical and with a real slice of 80s style. Far more fun than a traditional VW camper and viewing is highly recommended.

Lot 233

1976 Triumph Stag Transmission: automaticMileage:82098Launched in 1970, the Triumph Stag was a luxury grand tourer. Envisioned as a luxury sports car, it was designed to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz SL class models. All Stags were four-seater convertible coupés but for structural rigidity and to meet new American rollover standards at the time, the Stag required a B-pillar 'roll bar' hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. A new 2.5 litre, V8 designed and developed by Triumph's Harry Webster was later enlarged to 2,997cc. Most Stags were fitted with a Borg Warner automatic gearbox although manual gearboxes with overdrive were available. Electric windows, power steering and power-assisted brakes were fitted as standard. Originally registered on 23rd April 1976, this Triumph presents in the colour combination of green with black interior. The engine has just been rebuilt and runs very well. It should be noted that the mileage covered on the engine since the rebuild is approximately 200 therefore a gentle period of 'running-in' must be adhered to. We are advised the automatic transmission operates as it should and that the car drives with no know faults. This well-priced and handsome Triumph Stag, with automatic gearbox, will carry you elegantly through the summer.

Lot 235

2004 Mercedes-Benz SL600 V12 Transmission: automaticMileage:49000The R230 generation of Mercedes-Benz SL Class was introduced at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show and 2001 Bologna Motor Show, replacing the R129. The R230 underwent revisions in 2006 and 2008 and was superseded by the new SL Class R231 in 2011. The SL600 is the highest output version of the non AMG SL Class models. It uses a V12 engine which produced 493bhp, thus making it a very rapid luxury sports car with 60mph achieved in just 3.6 seconds when tested by Car and Driver despite the factory stating the figure at more modest 4.7! First registered 16th April 2004, this silky smooth S600 V12 is presented in metallic black with contrasting cream leather trim. 2010 Jaguar XKR '75' Edition Transmission: automaticMileage:55931The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced, a coupé and a convertible and the car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine. In 2000, the supercharged XKR was added to the range. This produced a staggering 503 horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille and red exterior emblems were identifying features. The XKR's engine was made in England, the ignition system was from NGK in Japan, the transmission was a Mercedes-Benz 722.6, the lighting system was by Valeo in France and the supercharger was made by Eaton in the USA, it was truly a world car. The redesigned XK was styled by Jaguar's chief designer Ian Callum. The standard XK model has a limited top speed of 158mph whilst the XKR had a limited top speed of 174mph. Mike Cross built this limited production road car, which actually made its debut at the 2010 festival. He gave it stronger suspension uprights for tighter camber control, stiffer springs (28% front, 32% rear), recalibrated adaptive dampers and slightly wider wheels (up half an inch at the front, 1 inch at the rear), the back rims wearing 10mm wider rubber too. The front and rear spoilers are the same as those available on other XKRs equipped with the optional cosmetic Speed Pack, but the deeper side sills are unique to the 75. Every car came in Stratus Grey, but the silver wheelarch eyebrows are optional. A new exhaust unleashes a mightier roar, hinting at the extra engine power under the bonnet. When Jaguar introduced the new 5.0-litre engines, the supercharged version actually had to be slightly detuned to preserve the transmission. But the XKR 75 got an improved torque converter, which meant the engine was allowed to deliver the full 523bhp, up from 503bhp in lesser Jags. Understood to be one of only 20 right hand drive examples of the 75 edition built, this fabulous example which was a mighty £85,500 when new is presented in Stratus Grey (as they all were) with black leather interior. These cars had a limited top speed of 174 mph and 0-60mph was achieved in a staggering 4.4 seconds! Its bodywork has a front splitter, extended sills, a rear defuser and a larger rear spoiler. It is fitted with red calipers and 20 inch Vortex forged alloys. With its superb Supercharged V8 producing 523bhp, this exhilarating Jaguar sounds fabulous and is great to drive at a fraction of the cost when new.

1963 Mercedes-Benz 220 SEb Fintail Transmission: automaticMileage:30159The Mercedes-Benz W111 was a chassis code given to a range of Mercedes vehicles produced between 1959 and 1971. Series production of the four-door sedan began in August 1959, which made its debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in autumn. Initially the series consisted of the 220b, 220Sb, and 220SEb. These replaced the (W105) 219, the (W180) 220S and the (W128) 220SE Ponton sedans respectively. The 220b was an entry-level version with little chrome trim, simple hubcaps, and basic interior trim that lacked pockets on doors, moving up to the SEb as the top specification. The body was modern and featured characteristic American-style tailfins that gave the models their Heckflosse nickname - German for 'fintail'. Originally registered to Woking Motors in 1963 this example was, according to the original buff logbook and military papers, sold to its original owner a Mr Woolls later that year. According to the road tax records and logbook details the car was last on the road in 1966, the year we understand Mr Woolls passed away, and the car was locked away in a garage for a staggering 55 years. The car remained garaged and off the road until 2021 when our vendor discovered the car and began a recommissioning program. He discovered that the car was in astonishing condition, the interior is a genuine time warp with the woodwork all in very good condition and leather after being professionally cleaned reflects the low 30,000 miles. Amazingly once a new battery was fitted we are told everything electrical worked. Inside the door shut is a badge declaring the last service interval at 30,000 miles, still existing because the bodywork has been left original and unrestored. The recommissioning was predominantly mechanical as to be expected, with new unleaded valves, reconditioned cylinder head, new oil, tyres, fan belt and brake lines, and we are told the car now runs and drives beautifully. Supplied with the original buff logbook detailing the original ownership only, therefore the new owner will need to apply for a new V5 registration document. This is a lovely low mileage, time warp example of the flagship S class still with two sets of keys and which is completely original€¦. such cars are only original once!

2011 Audi RS5 FSI Quattro V8 Transmission: automaticMileage:123982Whether as a 4.2-litre, V8 original, or 2.9-litre, twin-turbo V6 replacement, a few things are guaranteed with an Audi RS5: exactly 450hp, chiselled good looks, enormous quattro traction and the ease of use that comes with a great dual-clutch gearbox. Oh yes, and an Audi interior - it isn't hard to see why the two-door coupé (and, latterly, the five-door Sportback) have been so popular. First launched in 2010 as a rival for the E92 BMW M3 and W204 Mercedes C63 AMG, the RS5 impressed with its scalpel sharp V8 and all-weather ability. A standard sport differential in the UK ensured the handling wasn't as leaden as some might have expected, and a cabriolet followed in 2012, opening up four passengers to a sublime soundtrack. This example is presented in Daytona Grey with black leather interior and comes with electric front seats, air conditioning, privacy rear quarter glass - in fact over £7,000 of factory options were ordered originally and its original sale price was mere £74,800 when new! The car comes with a good service history with 11 service stamps and has had only three former keepers. These quick coupés are exhilarating to drive and have that wonderful V8 growl - a true 'wolf in sheep's clothing'.

1992 Mercedes-Benz 420SEC Transmission: automaticMileage:157300The W126 debuted in 1979 and was the second generation to officially bear the S-Class name referring to Sonderklasse or 'special class'. It was initially offered as a saloon car with straight-six, V8 and turbo diesel engines. In September 1981, a two-door coupé version of the W126 was introduced. Compared to its predecessor, the W126 was more aerodynamic, fuel efficient, capacious, and powerful. The model sported a new Mercedes-Benz design style which was subsequently used on other vehicles in the company's line-up. The W126 also included many Mercedes-Benz safety innovations. The first airbag supplemental restraint systems, seatbelt pre-tensioners and traction control system were added to the car's specification. Originally registered on 17th January 1992 this Mercedes-Benz has been owned by the vendor for the last five years. He has enjoyed the car immensely although he has used the car sparingly throughout his stewardship. Finished in the delightful colour combination of metallic black with grey leather interior this 420SEC comes with various service invoices and all the previous MoT certificates dating back to 1995. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a full year's MoT test certificate, this pillarless coupé is an iconic vehicle of the period and is becoming recognised as one of Mercedes-Benz's finest designs. It was also the first convertible to be fitted with automatic roll-bar deployment in the event of a rollover. This 300 SL variant is a genuine example with the original owner's book pack and an impressive service history showing 15 stamps with the most recent service in September 2021, less than 1,000 miles ago. this classic Mercedes-Benz roadster presents in metallic silver with a contrasting blue leather interior as well as the all-important hardtop. 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK 430 Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:60850In keeping with many of the other Mercedes model series, the new CLK-class in 2002 was able to bear the three-letter mark of sporting prowess: AMG. The package promised superlative power delivery and outstanding handling as well as a list of equipment that exuded exclusivity. Topping the new CLK range was a V8 model that delivered performance on a par with a typical sports car; the CLK AMG produced an impressive 342bhp that could propel this stylish sports coupé to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds. Further features that made the flagship CLK-class sports model really stand out included a special AMG body styling for the front apron, rear apron, and side skirts. Not to mention the 18€ AMG light alloy wheels and the AMG exhaust system with twin tailpipes. Originally registered on 12th April 2000, this CLK430 presents in beautiful, unmarked condition. The paintwork has recently been refreshed and the tyres are new. The fastidious vendor has used the car sparingly of late and has decided it is time to part with this Mercedes-Benz Convertible. The wheels are unmarked, and the roof operates exactly as it should. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate together with the service pack and history, these V8 Mercedes-Benz are great to drive, offering smoothness, performance, and reliability all in one package. Such a great car for the summer months ahead.

1996 Mercedes-Benz SL 230 Roadster Transmission: automaticMileage:231808Unveiled at the March 1989 Geneva Motor Show, the new Mercedes-Benz R129 Series SL range was beautifully engineered. Based around a two-door monocoque bodyshell, its sophisticated, all-round independent suspension (double-wishbone front/five-link rear) was augmented by a host of active and passive safety features including electronic stability control, ventilated ABS disc brakes, adaptive-damping shock absorbers, front airbags and an integral rollover bar that deployed in less than a third of a second if the car ever sensed an impending flip. Suitably cosseting, the convertible's impeccably built cabin consisted of a fully automated power hood and featured such advancements as memory seats, electric windows/mirrors and an adjustable steering column. Yet lurking beneath all the luxury and refinement was a performance orientated sports car. This lovely 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL 230 has had two owners from new; the first being a family where it passed from father to son and the current owner who purchased the car in June 2016. Delivered to a very high specification including anti-glare mirrors, adaptive damping system, air conditioning, acceleration skid control, memory front seats, steering column, and mirrors. 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC Transmission: automaticMileage:27801The R 107 and C 107 took the chassis components of the mid-size Mercedes-Benz W 114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the W 116 S-Class. The SL version was a two-seat roadster with standard soft and hardtop with optional folding seats for the rear bench. The SLC (C107) derivative was a two-door hardtop coupé with normal rear seats. The SLC is commonly referred to as an 'SL coupé', but in reality, it was an S-class coupé replacing the former saloon-based 280/300 SE coupé in the Mercedes-Benz line-up. The SLC was replaced earlier than the SL, in 1981, with a much larger model, the 380 SEC based on the new S class. Sales in North America began in 1972, with the name 350 SL, but with a larger 4.5 litre, V8 engine and was renamed 450 SL/SLC. This incredibly low mileage example is presented in silver with a blue velour trim; it has covered a mere 27,801 miles from new. With just four previous owners, this example was owned by the head of Mercedes-Benz Owner's Club while in Jersey until 1993 and was cared for by Jacksons Garage. Well looked after, this Mercedes-Benz was garaged throughout the winter months and has always been very well maintained. A recent maintenance by leading UK specialist, the SL Shop, has included new brake calipers and rear pads. This time warp example, in great condition and with a low mileage, is a true collector's opportunity not to be missed.

Lot 274

1997 Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG Transmission: automaticMileage:210795AMG was founded as a racing engine forge in 1967 by former Mercedes-Benz engineers; the letters 'AMG' taken from their names; Aufecht, Melcher and Großaspach. In 1990, with AMG having become a high-profile purveyor of modified Mercedes-Benz cars, Daimler-Benz AG and AMG signed a contract of co-operation allowing AMG to leverage Daimler-Benz's extensive dealer network and leading to commonly developed vehicles (the first one being the Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG, in 1993). On 1st January 1999, Daimler-Chrysler acquired 51 percent of AMG shares and AMG was re-named to Mercedes-AMG. In 1995, the C-Class received its first genuine performance model, the C36 AMG, to counter the new six-cylinder BMW M3. Developed with AMG, it had racing-tuned suspension and the 3.6 litre engine had a general output of 276bhp. The C36 AMG accelerates from 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds and top speed was limited to 155mph - an unlimited top speed was recorded at 169mph.   This lovely example of this 'wolf in sheep's clothing' is presented in metallic blue with a black interior. This well-equipped example benefits from both a factory fitted sunroof and air conditioning. With a good service history and an impressive list of reconditioning works that have included a new radiator, uprated brakes including discs and pads all round, new fuel lines and a new fuel filter. Offered to auction with a V5 registration document and a fresh MoT test certificate these superb saloons were the envy of many and are highly sought after, still producing great performance which competes with many much younger modern sports cars.

Lot 276

2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK 230 Kompressor Elegance Transmission: automaticMileage:74308Historically, the E-Class is Mercedes-Benz' best-selling model, with more than 13 million sold by 2015. The first E-Class series was originally available as a four-door saloon, five-door estate, two-door coupé and two-door convertible. From 1997 to 2009, the equivalent coupé and convertible were sold under the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class nameplate which was actually based on the mechanical underpinnings of the smaller C-Class while borrowing the styling and some powertrains from the E-Class. A trend continued with the C207 E-Class coupé/convertible which was sold parallel to the W212 E-Class saloon and estate models. With the latest incarnation of the E-Class released for the 2017 model year, all body styles share the same W213 platform. The coupé (C207) was first shown at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, while the convertible (A207) was unveiled at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. Presented in metallic blue with grey leather interior, it was purchased in Switzerland as a right hand drive example and costing SFr 82,446, the car boasts extras such as leather, electric heated memory seats, parking sensors, windbreak and rain sensing wipers plus on a recent test the air conditioning was still ice cold. Used in Switzerland as the vendors summer car until 2019 when it relocated to the UK, this car has also been exclusively serviced by the supplying main agents Procar in Davos. Lot 282

1987 Mercedes-Benz 230E Transmission: automaticMileage:104000Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 four-door versions in January 1976. While there were some technical similarities to their predecessors, the new models were larger in wheelbase and exterior dimensions. The styling was also updated, although stylistic links with the W114/W115 were maintained. Initially, all models except 280/280E featured quad unequal-size round headlights and the latter large rectangular units. When facelifted these units became standard across the range. All W115 engines were carried over. It is a tribute to the car's instant popularity - and possibly to the caution built into the production schedules - that nine months after its introduction, a black market had developed in Germany for Mercedes-Benz W123's available for immediate delivery. Customers willing to order new cars from their local authorised dealer for the recommended list price faced waiting times in excess of twelve months. Meanwhile, models that were barely used and were available almost immediately commanded a premium over the list price. Presented in black with grey interior trim and first registered on the 1st March 1987 this four-speed automatic has had just one owner from new until recently when the car has been passed to the original owners daughter. An original example with no accidents, cruise control, sunroof and described as in excellent condition with a comprehensive dealer service history. Having been always garaged this 2.3 litre petrol example is rare to find in this condition. Guide Price £5,000 - £9,000

This example is a very rare variation of the Explorer dial with striking features.
