A matched pair of Chinese vases and covers, of baluster form, decorated horses and other motifs on a ground of waves breaking on rocks, in enamel colours (repairs), 35 and 36 cm high See inside back cover colour illustration Condition report Report by JB Vase and cover 1: Cover generally grubby, with light signs of wear. Light chips present to inside rim section. Some light areas of colour. The vase itself displays, unfortunately a large amount of damage around the neck, a large section has been broken off and then re-glued in an amateur manner, with some loss to exterior decoration. Otherwise the vase displays general wear, some light fading to the colour around the blue areas of the glaze. A few pox marks and faults can also be observed to the surface, two indentations to base rim, and one small chip. Interior displays noticeable glaze faults and pox marks. Vase and cover 2: The cover on Vase 2 displays a large amount of damage to one side. The rim section has been broken into at least four sections and then re-glued. Pox marks, glaze faults present to the surface and a noticeable amount of glaze has been chipped off the top finial section, along with noticeable rubbing. Two small chips can be observed to interior rim. Again much in the same manner of the first vase, there is noticeable damage to the neck section of this vase. A large section has been broken into at least two pieces and there are three noticeable areas of loss. It has been glued again in an amateur fashion, and is rather noticeable. Again the body of the vase is scattered with a few glaze faults and pox marks and some colours slightly faded Please see illustrations for details
A Chinese famille verte bowl and cover, decorated panels of birds, insects and foliage in enamel colours (repaired/restored), 22.5 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by JB The lid is rather discoloured (yellow tinge) with multiple chipping around the handle section. There would appear to be hairline fractures running from the centre, round and down to the base rim. However, they have not entirely broken through. Some loss of detail and colour fading also present. Glaze faults and pox marks running across the surface. The main body has unfortunately been broken into many pieces (in fact in half), along with multiple other cracks. It has been poorly repaired with glue and what would appear to be putty. There is both loss to the main body and detail. Glaze faults and pox marks are present across the surface with some colour fading. The underside is also displaying some loss, especially to the foot rim Please see illustrations for details
A Chinese baluster vase, decorated birds and foliage in enamel colours, 28 cm high Condition report Report by JB The vase displays general wear, knocks and nicks, and some scratches. Pox marks and glaze faults can be observed across the main body, including some pit marks and a large black spot. Colours would appear to be relatively bright. There is a noticeable chip to the base of the vase, encroaching upon the yellow and green detail Please see illustrations for details
A fine Chinese censer, with a pierced associated cover, decorated all over with mille fleur decoration, with a seal in a line to the top rim, with pierced handles, and on three bulbous feet (one handle riveted, the cover associated), 36.5 cm high See front cover colour and other illustration Condition report Report by NG Believed the cover to be an association, as the decoration is different on a yellow ground. Light rubbing to the gilt around edge. Very slight chip too edge of rim and to underside of pierced decoration. From the seal mark at front, right handle with old rivet repair. Some slight rubbing to gilt decoration. Some firing faults in which there are black bubbles in the enamel colours. Chip to rear left foot under base but visible when stood. Other feet with smaller chips to each. Blue interior worn and grubby.

Discolouration and rubbing present to brass sections. Generally grubby, in need of a good clean, displaying general marks and wear. No major damage of note would appear present. The main body is again generally grubby with general knocks and nicks and some light discolouration to certain areas of colour, mainly noticeable around white sections. There are three unfortunate areas of noticeable denting, one large impact area and two combined dents in a close proximity. Some loss of enamel can be observed in both areas, however, majority intact, if slightly strained. Slight distortion can be observed to the lower rim of the foot section, probably caused from the impact - enamel bowl sits slightly wonky Please see illustrations for details
