An 18th Century Sèvres porcelain cabinet cup and saucer decorated with portrait of Madame Du Barry within an enamel and jewelled "Bleu Royale" ground, the saucer decorated with foliate and floral monogram "D B", dated marked for 1768 and bearing decorator's mark for Vieillard, cup 7 cm diameter x 7 cm high, the saucer 13.8 cm diameter(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS The cup has a couple of pinhead firing faults, most visible to the portrait centre. Losses to the jewel work and enamel decoration and gilding all over. There is also a fault to the rim which has been glazed and gilded over in the form of a small dent/chip possibly an air bubble in firing - see image. The saucer has a large firing fault to the edge and has a drill hole to the base as well as various other firing faults including one to the white centre. Various bits of jewel work are missing, wear to the gilding especially the rim. Both have general wear and tear, surface scratches etc - see images for further details

Lot 442

A collection of five Tibetan white metal stem cups with elaborate embossed decoration, one heightened with coloured enamels, together with a smaller similar example (6), the shortest 6.7 cm, the tallest 14.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The large cup with enamels - the bowl bent out of circular and does not fit on the stand horizontally. Damage to the enamel work, various cracks, base also bent out of circular. The near matching pair are of slightly different heights, both bowls do not sit horizontally on the stands. both bowls with some dents and out of circular as are the bases. both with splits in the collars of the stems. The small cup again does not sit horizontally on the stand and the bowl is also dented especially around the rim and around the foot with possible repair on the foot also. The largest cup - the bowl is very loose on the column and needs tightening, does not fit horizontally. Bent out of circular and has various dents. The foot is also out of circular - needs attention. The last cup - again the bowl does not fit horizontally on the stand, the bowl is dented as is the base, again could probably benefit from tightening up. All with various scratches, small dents and general signs of wear and tear throughout

A pair of 18th Century Sèvres "Bleu Celeste" ice pails decorated with a panel of lovers in a garden with fruit and floral sprays verso, bears blue enamel mark to base, date marked for 1777 and bearing maker's mark "K" for Dodin, 19 cm diameter x 17.5 cm high excluding handles(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS There is wear to the gilding, some scratching and chipping to the panels. Crazing visible to the insides, one pail has a large crack running through to the interior and has been restored at some point around the base and possibly to the top rim as well. There is a chip at the top of the crack and the base has been completely off which has led to the complete restoration. Both have signs of general wear - see images for further details. Both have obviously been used as plant pots rather than ice pails in their time. Gilding to handles very worn, one depicting two lovers with spaniel - basically in good order though some areas of wear to handles and other gilding conducive with age and use. Very dirty with crackalure to the interior suggesting water damage. The other depicting two lovers, he in red jacket, she seated - very damaged with large crack from top to bottom and cracked all the way around the bottom edge, restored but visible from the exterior in both cases.

A French enamelled hinged lidded box of waisted form, the top depicting a courting couple with turban wearing servant in background stood amongst ruins, the sides and bottom with floral spray decoration, opening to reveal a plain interior, 7.2 x 5.6cm, together with a Japanese enamel decorated circular box, the top depicting figures within a landscape looking into an interior and similar scenes to the outside edge, the interior opening to reveal two figures within a landscape on the lid and a chrysanthemum flower head to the base with a gilt interior, 6.7 cm diameter x 3.2 cm high(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS The hinged lidded box has losses, damage and cracking to the enamel work etc as well as significant wear to the base all over. The interior reflects this and has clearly been repaired in several places. The hinge has been repaired and in the corner, the mount is coming away. The Japanese box has been broken and glued back together again in several pieces. there is crazing all over. the lid has also been broken, there is wear to the enamel work and gilding work both inside and out - see images for further details

A set of six Elizabeth II silver and enamel decorated coffee spoons (by Turner & Simpson, Birmingham, 1960) CONDITION REPORTS All six spoons have general wear and tear to include some surface scratching etc. One has a small bit of enamel missing on the back stripy section but looks more like missed in manufacture rather than a chip. In some areas especially to the edges of the bowls and the teaspoon handles the gilding is rubbed but his appears to mainly be on one teaspoon. One spoon appears to be significantly bent compared to the others. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further details.

A Bilston enamel style vinaigrette in the form of an apple, opening to reveal a gilded grille, the lid set with a porcelain plaque depicting a Classical maiden holding a mask, together with a Continental white metal circular box with lid, the engine turned decoration with leaves and stylised flowers to edge, opening to reveal a plain gilded interior, approx 3.5 cm diameter, together with a white metal and enamelled Celtic cross pendant with knot design, 4.2 cm, together with a further enamel box in the form of a fruit and Oriental enamelled box, depicting landscape scenes with figures in foreground, opening to reveal a lidded canister(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS The vinaigrette in the form of an apple - there are several large chunks of enamel missing, holes, scuff marks and further damage to the exterior. It appears to have been re-glued at some point along the mount edge. The hinge has had some repair work, stalk is missing. Interior - the grille is discoloured and bent in a couple of areas and a piece seems to have been broken off. The grille itself is loose from the fitting, the interior is tarnished, pitted and in need of a good clean. The porcelain plaque has some light surface scratching and appears to have been re-glued in two places with resin visible at the very edges. White metal circular box has some surface scratches, especially to the interior, clean residue lid is a little stiff. Cross pendant only has enamel work to one side. Quite a bit of the white enamel edging is missing and there is some damage to the blue enamel especially on the right hand side top of the cross. The other side is plain, the further fruit box has significant damage to the enamel work all over with losses and cracking. The hinge mount is off from the base although the hinge itself is intact. Cylindrical box - there is surface scratching, chipping, firing faults and crazing/cracking to the enamel work throughout and some losses to the paintwork on the decorations. The canister itself will come out with some force, has surface scratching and tarnishing etc. All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details

A "Cadbury's Cocoa Essence" pictoral enamelled sign, the central image of cocoa pods, made by The Falkirk Iron Company, 45.7 cm x 29.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Measures in inches 11¾ inches by 18 inches. Sign has drill holes to the edges, some rust, surface scratches all over. There is a dulling/dark edge especially to the top right hand corner and long the right hand side. Some rusting especially round the drill holes. Dirt and discolouration to the enamel. Edges are rough, especially the right hand side and bottom. Areas of rusting all over back. See images for further details. General wear conducive with age and use.

A pair Sèvres "Bleu Royale" ground vases of inverted pear form with foliate decorated rim and handles, raised on a circular foot to square plinth base, the whole with gilt and enamel jewelled decoration, (bear blue crossed "L's" mark with date letters "II" for 1786 flanked by "H P"), 28.5 cm high (Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Both have wear and looses to the guilding and "jewel work". One has a significant repair to the base.=, the other has black paint marks to the handles. Both have some firing faults, one in particular has a crack at the top near the handle. Both are loose on their bases, bolts etc need tightening. Gilding is worn on both. Both have general wear and tear, surface scratches etc. See images for further details. Vase One - gilding worn around top opening, some areas of jewelling missing, including turquoise beads to band x 5. Various small areas of jewelling and gilding missing. Turquoise colour beading to centre band missing x 6. Turquoise beading to foot missing x 3. Large repaired chip to socle top approx 2.1 cm x .6 cm. Various wearing to the gilding throughout. Vase Two - with wear to the gilding around vase opening. Firing crack to one side approx 2 cm jagged vertically. Much smaller firing crack to the other side of the same leaf approx .15 cm. Turquoise beads around shoulder missing x 7. Areas of jewelling and gilding worn and/or missing to the main band. Turquoise beads to centre band complete though with some small areas of damage or loss. Socle and plinth basically sound though with wear to the small areas of damage or loss.
