The portrait is beneath a bevelled glass 10 x 8.6cm 69gmProvenanceBy descent from the sitterCondition report: This charming frame has been much loved and polished over the years. It has lost its stand, and just two parts of the hinge remain. There is a lot of polish residue on the reverse and we can see no makers mark, although as it has no hallmark either, it may have been marked on the missing stand or if it was a gift from Naper to the Birches, it may not have had any marks originally. The enamel flowers have some cracks but no obvious losses of enamel, the shell is good. No splits or damage to the silver other than the missing stand.See extra photos now online.
