A rare George III Bristol gold pair cased verge pocket watch with centre seconds, the fusee movement with square section vase shaped pillars, regulation adjustment dial and silver foliate pierced balance cock with diamond endstone, the backplate signed 'Vinc't Baxter, Bristol, 207', with similarly inscribed gilt dust cover and enamel Roman numeral dial with gold beetle and poker hands and blued steel seconds hand, the inner case hallmarked for London 1781, makers M.A. & G.M., suspension column replaced, maximum diameter 5cm.
