Chinese Silver-Gilt Dragon Vase Tang Dynasty, 618-906 AD. A cast silver vase with bulbous body, narrow neck and flared rim; the handles formed as rearing dragons with red enamel detail to ears and muzzle; the neck and shoulder decorated with scrolled vegetation ornament, and the body with opposed animals on a field of scrolled vegetation; raised rim to base. 578 grams, 28.5cm (11 1/4").
