Samuel Andrews (Irish c.1767-1807)/Officer in a Blue Coat/portrait miniature/initialled and dated 1796/watercolour on ivory, 6cm x 5cm/in a yellow metal frame with hair set panel within blue enamel border to reverse/Note: Samuel Andrews arrived in India in 1791 and in 1795 moved to the house previously occupied by the miniature painter John Smart (1741-1811).
