A Late Victorian 18 Carat Gold Emerald and Diamond Ring, the five graduated step cut emeralds held in yellow claw settings, with pairs of tiny rose cut diamonds in between, in a carved setting on a lined shoulder plain polished shank, finger size N The ring is in reasonable condition. Some of the claws are worn, and the setting looks worn in places. Two of the rose cut diamonds are missing and need to be replaced. The hallmark is incomplete - maker`s mark `G?`, Birmingham, 1890. The largest of the emeralds measures; 4.88mm x 3.72mm x 2.58mm = 0.31 carat approximately, one of the smaller ones measures; 3.25mm x 2.98mm x 1.68mm = 0.10 carat approximately. The emeralds are a good rich green colour, they are quite included. Gross weight 3.0 grams. CR made 8th January 2012

An Aquamarine and Seed Pearl Necklace, the emerald-cut aquamarine in white double corner claw settings surmounted by two knife edge bars which meet at the top with a pearl, to a white trace link chain, with seed pearls spaced at intervals, pendant drop measures 4.4cm, chain length 80cm The necklace is in good condition overall. There is a pearl missing from the frame which surmounts the aquamarine. The chain fastens with a bolt ring clasp. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion would test as platinum. The aquamarine measures 26.5mm (approximately) x 13.48mm x 7.63mm = 20 carat approximately. Gross weight 12.6 grams. CR made 8th January 2012
An 18 Carat Gold Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring, the step cut emerald with truncated corners in a yellow six claw setting, above a border of ten round brilliant cut diamonds in white claw settings, to a yellow tapered shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.75 carat approximately, finger size M The ring is in good condition. It bears some minor surface scuffs to the shank, but these could easily be polished out. It is hallmarked with an unclear sponsor`s mark `M?GLD`, Sheffield, 1994. The emerald measures; 6.13mm x 5.37mm x 3.34mm = 0.69 carat approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 6.0 grams.
