A diamond 9ct gold cluster ring, designed as a tiered circular cluster of single cut diamonds, 8.9mm x 8.2mm, continuing to diamond set twist shoulders and tapering 9ct gold shank, ring size N 1/2, together with a sapphire and diamond 9ct gold half-eternity ring, size M 1/2, and an emerald and white stone 9ct gold half eternity ring, size P, gross weight 5.2gms (3)
An Art Deco diamond, sapphire and emerald bow brooch, the central round old cut diamond weighing approximately 0.20 - 0.25 carats, bezel set with a bow shaped surround set with old cut diamonds, interspersed by baguette cut sapphires and emeralds, all set in white metal, with hinged and safety loop fastening to reverse, 65mm wide, weight 10.7gms (at fault)CR; Evidence of moderate solder and glue repair to the reverse, some solder and glue visible to the front (see pictures). Some stones have had bars added to the reverse to secure them (see pictures). The safety loop fastening appears to be a later replacement. All stones are present and appear secure, though there is some gapping between the stones. Principle diamond secure. There is an inclusion near the surface of the table of the principle diamond, and a radiating crack emanating from the inclusion has reached the surface. Several of the sapphires and emeralds show chipping/moderate abrasion. The diamonds appear largely in good order, showing general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use, and some with minor nibbling. There is moderate thinning and some splitting to the frame, particularly at the joins. Pin in working order. See pictures for further illustration.
An emerald and diamond floral cluster ring, the central round brilliant cut diamond with a 0.35 carat spread, with a surround of six round mixed cut emeralds, to a border of sixteen round mixed cut diamonds, all claw set in white metal to a raised gallery, continuing to a plain polished 18ct gold shank, marks for London 1979, ring size O, weight 6.5gmsCR: Central diamond in good order - one minor, shallow chip to the central diamond, some general wear commensurate with age and wear, however there are no large cracks or losses. The emeralds show very heavy abrasion and wear, and have lost some definition to the facets and facet edges. The emeralds show a couple of minor nibbles/small chips, but no large losses. Please note the emeralds have not been tested for synthetic or natural origin, or for oiling/treatment. All diamonds to the border are present and in good order, showing no large cracks chips or losses, general scratching and wear commensurate with age and wear. Claws show minor - moderate wear, however all stones appear secure. The gallery is in good order, no thinning, splitting or signs of repair. Shank is in good order, no splitting, thinning, resizing or repair, moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and wear.

It first made its appearance in 1917 on a diamond, onyx and platinum cigarette case, designed by Louis Cartier as a gift to his lover (and later head designer at Cartier), Jeanne Toussaint. However the panther motif really found fame in the late 1940s when Cartier created several iconic panther jewels for the Duchess of Windsor (this being the first time that the panther was represented in its entirety); these items included a three-dimensional panther brooch of pavé sapphires and white and yellow diamonds, the big cat perched atop a 152.35 carat sapphire cabochon. The panthère designs remain as popular today as they ever were and form an iconic collection of the house of Cartier.
