Ancient handachi frame of the late Edo period. Mokko-shaped tsuba with shakudo decorated with shishi lions and roses in relief, partially gilded. Fuchi and kabutogane with beautiful shakudo nanako with gold outlining. Menuki featuring scaled animals (dragons?). Old tsuka with tsuka-ito of emerald green silk. Saya with antique black lacquer with mother-of-pearl flakes (some missing parts). Shakudo mounts worked en suite with those of the tsuka. length 90 cm.
