A Victorian 15ct gold emerald and opal set nine stone ring. The central small emerald surrounded by four opals and four small round cut emeralds, all in a claw and millegrain setting, hallmarked Birmingham 1865, size N 1/2, 2.3g.Two opals have surface flake chips. Each opal has surface wear and scratches. The green stones all have chips and wear to all of the facet cuts.

The diamonds are all present and correct, bright and lively, a couple of emeralds may have been replaced with diamonds. The shank has been sized and subtly reinforced at the back of the shank.
