A Russian emerald and diamond bracelet, the central emerald measuring approximately 17 mm x 3.5 mm, surrounded with a ring of diamonds, the strap set along its length with old mine cut diamonds and rose cut diamonds to an estimated approximate total of 1.90 cts, set to a pierced and millegrain setting, Russian hallmarks for 56 Zolotniki (approximately 14 ct gold), with Kokoshnik head stamp, possibly made in St Petersburg, 18 cm long, 20.3 grams gross weight (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The emerald is in generally good order with no significant chips. There are numerous small surface scratches particularly to the top and around the facets but no serious issues. There is also some wear to the mount but the stone is not loose and well fixed in place. The scratches are visible, not so much with the naked eye but when viewed under x 10. The surrounding diamonds have some small chips. The diamonds to the actual bracelet are in generally good order. Four links operate as they should as does the clasp. We do not have the knowledge to say if the emerald has been heat treated, however as the piece dates from 1930's this is unlikely.
An emerald ring, the oval stone flanked to either side by three cut diamonds within an open basket shoulder, on gold metal shank, emerald 12 mm x 8 mm, size S/T (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The depth of the emerald is +/- 3.5 mm. There are polished surface lines on the stone and a small chip to one edge. The ring has been resized at some point. We do not have the facilities to test the gold however we believe it is higher than 9 ct. Total weight 6.3 grams.
