It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'V&Co.', London, 1997. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 4.2 grams. CR made 5th February 2015

A Snake Necklace, circa 1860, graduated fancy links form the body, the head set with a carbuncle garnet, and rose cut diamonds, with emerald eyes, and a carbuncle set drop with locket back suspended from his mouth, length 39cm The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box catch, the tail end having the tongue, which inserts into the side of the head, to fasten. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion would test as gold. A pair of Chinese green-glazed double gourd vases, Qianlong seal mark, 20th Century Each of the slender vases, typically modelled in double gourd form rising to a tapered and delicate rim, each with an allover rich emerald green glaze with applied 'boys at play' and dragon trellis roundel, set with stiff lappet and lotus flower borders, 32cm high, (damages). (2) CONDITION REPORT: First vase - damage to the upper neck area, an area of approx. 6cm in length has broken away from the tip of the vase and been restuck, overall crazing visible throughout Second vase - overall crazing to glaze, no visible signs of cracks/chips/restoration.
