A mid-Victorian enamel, emerald and split pearl swag brooch, the lozenge shaped brooch top, 40mm diameter, with ornate scrolls, enamelled in blue and white, clusters of split pearls with trap cut emeralds. Chain swags to matching gathered bands and pendant drop. Shorter chain drops to each side, with split pearl cluster heads. Glazed locket verso. Maker's mark 'M.H.'. Tested as approximately 15ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Areas of tarnish. Damage to the crown of the central emerald. Small areas of loss to the enamel. Some scratches to the top section at the back.

A cased pair of late Victorian ruby and diamond and emerald and diamond bee brooches, each bee approximately 42mm diameter, with an old European cut diamond rub set as the thorax, with either rubies and diamonds or emeralds and diamonds forming the abdomen. Pierced wings set with rose cut diamonds, cabochon ruby eyes, with diamond set head and antenna. Replacement brooch fittings. Later fitted case by Goldsmiths' and Silversmiths' Co., London CONDITION REPORT: Lead solder repairs or alteration to the underside of the emerald bee, more difficult to see from the top side . A small section of right leg deficient. No obvious faults to the ruby bee.

An emerald and diamond cluster ring with diamond set shoulders, an emerald cut emerald, four claw set at the cut corners, surrounded by eleven brilliant cut and one eight cut diamond. The split shoulders set with old eight cut diamonds to a plain shank. The shoulders possibly re-used from an earlier ring. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and silver CONDITION REPORT: Table and facet edge wear to the emerald. Outer claws to the cluster worn. Ring size- L 1/2
Lot 337
An aquamarine and diamond ring, c.1940, the emerald cut aquamarine, with an estimated weight of approximately 16.50ct, claw set at the corners to a pierced geometric collet. Open crescent shaped shoulders, grain set with old eight cut diamonds. Tested as platinum. Finger size I½-J CONDITION REPORT: The aquamarine has a little less colour than the image on our website or in the catalogue. Some small chis and brises to the crown facet edges.. Setting appears secure. One diamong at the top left hand corner of the shoulder (see catalogue image) is noticably darker in colour.

An Art Deco single stone diamond ring with diamond set shoulders, an emerald cut diamond, with an estimated weight of 2.25ct, double claw set to a sea scroll collet, with diamond set milligrain set leaf shoulders. Diamond assessed as approximately. Colour: I/J Clarity: VS1/VS2 Finger size K CONDITION REPORT: A replacement half shank has been fitted in the past. Some wear to each side of the underbezel. The doublet claws to the centre stone are very worn and show some file marks. The diamond is not sitting square and will have to be re-set in the collet after re-tipping work is undertaken. It is believed the ring is Art Deco, but has had restoration and repair work over the years to enable it to still be worn. Half shank. Shoulders possibly re-used. The collet to the centre diamond may have been replaced although the underbezel looks original. The diamond set leaf shoulders appear to have been re-used or re-applied. One chenier deficient. Due to the repairs and restoration on this ring, it will not pass assay. The shank tests as approximately 18ct white gold. The collet tests as approximately 9ct white gold. There appears to be lines of dark solder to the shoulders.

A yellow gold pre-Colombian style pendant, with a votive figure, set with two square cut emeralds to the torso, small emeralds rub set as the eyes and mouth, with a square cut emerald rub set to the bale. Suspended on a palmier chain marked 750. CONDITION REPORT: Two of the small emeralds to the face are not faceted and may be synthetic replacements - too small to test.

A shaped tapering bar to each side, grain set with graduated brilliant cut diamonds, with a detachable pear shaped emerald and diamond articulated drop to the centre. A flat link articulated chain marked 750
Lot 389
An 18ct gold emerald and diamond three stone ring, a pear shaped emerald, claw set to a shaped collet, with a trilliant cut diamond, claw set in a white collet to each side, Sheffield 1996. Finger size O½ CONDITION REPORT: Very small chips to the girdle of the emerald, only visible under 10x magnification. Does not really detract from the ring. Emerald 12.2 x 8.13 x 5.3, estimated as approximately 5.52ct. Stone loose in the setting. Claws intact, so should be possible to have it tightened by a setter. Diamonds 4.3 x 4.5 (mount precludes measurement of depth, so cannot calculate the weight). Very dirty. Surface marks, but good quality mount.

A Greek emerald and ruby set crown ring, an open looped form crown, rub set with graduated circular mixed cut emeralds and rubies, to a textured ground, with a pierced tapering shank. Marked 750. Finger size L CONDITION REPORT: No obvious major faults, other than a couple of tips off the leaves.

An 18ct gold aquamarine and diamond cluster ring, an emerald cut aquamarine milligrain set to the centre, surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds, milligrain set to the outer edge. Birmingham 1990. Finger size L½-M CONDITION REPORT: Estimated due to milligrain setting 7.70mm x 5.9mm. Head of the ring 13.5mm x 11.6mm.

Finger size M½ CONDITION REPORT: Settings all appear secure. Light surface marks only. Aquamarine approximately 10.02mm x 7.99mm x 4.31mm. Estimated as approximately 2.30ct. Very minor marks to the girdle. Some facet edge wear to the pavillion.
