A Victorian bird brooch, set with seed pearls, rubies, emeralds and diamonds, in the form of a parakeet, the body formed of seed pearls, ruby eyes, with diamond set crest, emerald and ruby back, and seed pearl tail with layer of emerald and ruby, set in white metal, possibly platinum, with a yellow metal pin, 12.5g all in, 4cm high. Provenance: By family repute given to Mrs Brown by the Duchess of Mouchy, France.
A Victorian emerald and diamond ring, the central square cut emerald flanked by old cut diamonds to each side and to each shoulder, size N/see illustration Condition Report: The shank has a small inscription 'R to E' to the outside. There is a line visible to the interior which suggests it may have been resized at some point. It is probably late Georgian rather than Victorian as catalogued. Inclusions to all diamonds, some more so than others and most visible to the naked eye. Scratches and minor chips to emerald. Some minor inclusions. Overall with some wear commensurate with age.
