A Victorian gold and emerald brooch, with locket back, original case. CONDITION REPORT: Maximum width 55 mm, height 42 mm. The brooch is not hallmarked that we can see. The body of the brooch has a small dent to the bottom left hand corner of the oval and a small crease at approximately 11 o'clock. The centre raised oval is slightly loose in its setting. It would probably tighten up from the rear but we would need to take the photograph out in order to see this. The emerald has small surface scuffs and tiny chips as one would expect. There are no real problematical issues.
