A fine emerald and diamond three stone ring with a central rectangular step cut emerald of a known weight of approximately 3.32cts flanked by two certified round brilliant cut diamonds of total known weight of 0.89cts, all in claw setting on 18ct yellow gold shank. Ring size M½-N. Accompanied by two British Gemmological Institute Diamond Certificates giving the weights of 0.45cts and 0.44cts, colour grade F and clarity VS1 and VS2. Purchased new from Upchurch & Sons of Colchester in 2009, with valuation of £8,500 dated 2009.The diamonds are certified but we do not have a certificate for the emerald so cannot give details of origin or any enhancement. The ring is being sold by the executors. The ring was purchased new from a very local reputable jewellers by the late vendor in circa 2009. The stones are in excellent condition, as is the setting and shank. Gross weight approximately 5.6 grams.

The emerald has surface reaching fissures/cracks and inclusions. The diamonds are all well matched stones and of good colour and clarity. Gross weight approximately 3.4 grams.

Victorian 18ct gold emerald five stone ring with a line of five graduated step cut emeralds flanked by eight rose cut diamonds on 18ct yellow gold shank (London 1863). Ring size Q½Weight 3.2 grams. The emeralds are in good condition commensurate with age, minor scratches and abrasions, the smallest emerald at one end has a minor chip to the table facets and the other emerald at the other end is a paler colour. Open back setting. Setting is secure and the shank is in good condition commensurate with age, clear hallmarks for London 1863.

The three small square step-cut emeralds each within a single-cut diamond border, grain and partial rub-over set in platinum flashed gold on a 'D' section shank stamped '18ct Plat', size T, 2.4g gross Condition Report: The emeralds measure approx. 2.5mm (1) and 1.8mm (2).The diamonds each measure approx. 1.4-1.5mm diameter.Two small cracks through the metal on the underside of the mount. Central stone is chipped cracked near the top surface. Marks and wear visible in places to both the stones and the ring itself, caused through previous use.
