An Art Deco emerald and diamond ring, the central emerald with a triangular panel of pavé set diamonds to each shoulder on a platinum shank, ring size K Condition Report: Lot 528: Deco period, approx. 2.4gm, marked Plat. Solder to each side where shoulder meets shank - presume shank has been altered / replaced / repaired.
An emerald and diamond five-stone ring, the alternating stones in a scroll setting to a gold shank, ring size N Condition Report: Lot 567: Early 20th Century, approx. 2.9gm, unmarked. Central stone has crack otherwise good. Cushion shaped diamonds each approx. 4mm x 4.5mm - one is approx. 2.5mm deep, the other approx. 2.9mm deep.
17th century AD. A flat-section gold hoop formed as a running guilloche with voids and pellets; to the underside, a pair of clasped hands with notched cuffs; the bezel a piriform plaque with inset emerald cabochon. 3.97 grams, 24mm overall, 19.77mm internal diameter (approximate size British T 1/2, USA 9 3/4, Europe 22.0, Japan 21) (1"). Extremely fine condition. A large wearable size. Property of a central London collector; acquired from a large private collection formed in the 1980s. Cf. Oman, C.C. British Rings 800-1914, London, 1974, plate 55(F").
3rd-2nd century BC. A matched pair of gold earrings, each a square plaque with ribbed border, inset emerald bead, bar beneath with three long dangles, s-curved wire to the reverse. 7.02 grams total, 37mm (1 1/2"). Very fine condition. Property of a London gentleman; acquired before 1995. The emeralds are quite good quality for the period, and probably orginated in Cleopatra's Mines, in Egypt.
