Item G84 in this exhibition catalogue and illustrated on P.94 of the exhibition catalogue. The catalogue entry states the sapphire to be a ‘Ceylon’ sapphire.

An Art Deco carved emerald, diamond, jadeite, pearl and lapis lazuli brooch, circa 1925, the top set with a hexagonal emerald carved with a flower head amongst leaves in a baguette and eight cut diamond surmount with a cabochon sapphire top, to a rectangular frame pave set with eight cut diamonds and channel set baguette cut diamond highlights with onyx collars, with an articulated trapeze cut diamond connection to a tassel drop, the drop composed of a 2.2cm oval jadeite cabochon in a rose cut diamond lattice mount with a blue enamel collar, suspending graduated 1.5mm to 2.5mm pearl tassels with lapis lazuli bead terminals, the plate beneath the jadeite indistinctly numbered 1694 with French assay poincons, 10.3cm long overall. Please note the jadeite is untested for colour treatment, and the pearls are untested and unwarranted as natural pearls
