London Brighton & South Coast Railway 'Brighton' pattern brass cased Signal Repeater. A wonderful little item with a black and white distant signal mounted on a brass post with ornate finial. Company initials across the top, it also has the number 1444 on the face. A brass plate inscribed '14' is screwed to the top of the case to indicated the signal number. Excellent, ex box condition.
Locomotive Post cards, three boxes containing over 800 b/w and colour cards, many very early, makers include Tilling, Moores, Locomotive Publishing, Tidy, Lens of Sutton etc. A quite stunning collection in itself but also comes with Locomotive Publishing Co. Ltd. Series of full colour postcards still unopened in original wrappers. Comprises Series 1 through to Series 11, all priced at 2/6d. Pristine condition. Also, another box containing a large quantity, mostly un-opened packs of Pamlin Prints. Each pack has the contents listed with location and date. Predominantly locomotives and railway associated but some buses noted. All are pristine. A very nice collection indeed.
GWR miscellany comprising: 1947 GWR Board Calendar listing Directors & Officers. This is a little gem and is basically a small diary with the useful list of everyone of importance with the GWR at the time: A GWR Pilotman cloth Armband, some strapping missing: GWR Typewriter Ribbon Tin: A GWR 1933 Rule Book crammed with amendments: Approx 75 GWR Edmondson Tickets, much duplication and a quantity of green (for GWR) card blanks, also a quantity of very early, GWR Official Photographs and others of Wagons etc. Some are extremely interesting and although some have loss, some are excellent and large format. These must be viewed to appreciate. Finally, a GWR 1939 Timetable plus a Bradshaw Timetable 1959, BR 1975 in a box. GWR Appendices and Train Regulations, a GWR blue hardback Clip Folder; British Transport 'Modernisation of British Railways' confidential report dated April 1957 - the death blow for steam sadly but very interesting nevertheless; an early album containing 35 Post Office Maps of different English Counties dated between 1860 and 1880 showing railways etc., also many early newspaper cuttings within.
Daniel Maclise, RA (Irish, 1806-1870) Portrait of the Reverend William Mogg Bowen, DD (1768-1857) of St Albans, Hertfordshire, 1836 oil on canvas 74 x 62cm Provenance: By descent from the sitter William Mogg Bowen was born in Taunton on 14 February 1768. On 15 March 1784 he matriculated at All Souls' College, Oxford. In 1788 he obtained his BA and then MA in 1799 and became a Doctor of Divinity in 1803. In 1803 he took the post of Headmaster at St Albans Grammar School in Hertfordshire. In 1836, when he was 68, he sat for the present portrait by Daniel Maclise, wearing his academic gown
A World Champions' Dinner Dubai 1981 signed menu, dated 4th December 1981 and bearing 21 signatures, including Jack Brabham, Phil Hill, Jackie Stewart, Dennis Hulme, James Hunt, Roy Salvadori, Innes Ireland, Carroll Shelby, Derek Bell, Stirling Moss etc. The first Dubai GP race meeting celebrated the United Arab Emirates' tenth anniversary in 1981 and was held on a temporary circuit surrounding the Dubai Hyatt Regency Hotel. Many former World Champions and other famous motor racing personalities attended this historic, one-off event, which included a lavish post-race dinner. The proceeds from lot 21 are to be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

A GEORGE VI WWII INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD of 1897 pattern, in mint condition, the hand guard having George VI cypher, the blade with fine engraved decoration including the Royal cypher and coat of arms. Complete with Sam Browne leather scabbard and knot. Original postage box with Flights Ltd. addressee label still intact, sent to Hartley Brown Esq., Cleator Moor, post dated 1927. Overall length 102cm.

EXHIBITED: Walker Gallery, Bond Street, W1, March 24th, 1960. * Studied at Bolton and Manchester Schools of Art, at the Royal College of Art through a scholarship, 1948-51, then at the British School in Rome for two years. Bradshaw exhibited at the Royal Academy; Royal Society of Painter-Etchers; with Liverpool Academy of Fine Arts and frequently at the Manchester Academy, as well as Crane Gallery, Manchester and elsewhere. He was one of the painters contributing to a new post-war Lancashire realist school.
