AN OAK PERCUSSION RIFLE CASE FOR A JOHN DICKSON SPORTING GUN with a 32 1/2in. barrel, green baize lined with a John Dickson & Sons label for post 1844 when the company moved to 60 Princes St, Edinburgh, the case retains some original accessories such as ebony cleaning rod, jag and worm, a 13-bore wad punch, a steel oil bottle and some other powder wads, lid separated from frame.
A .65 (CARBINE BORE) FLINTLOCK BAKER SERVICE RIFLE, early 19th century, with 30 1/2in. rebrowned twist sighted barrel with bayonet bar on the right side at the muzzle, plain tang, border engraved rounded lock with 'GR' cypher, engraved 'Tower' on the tail and struck with an inspection mark, walnut full stock (some bruising) with raised cheek-piece, regulation brass mounts including hinged patchbox cover, iron sling mounts, and correct iron ramrod, the barrel struck with post-1815 Birmingham proof marks.
AN UNUSUAL CONTINENTAL 4-BORE 'TIP-UP' BREECH-LOADING PERCUSSION PUNT GUN, no.23.6., 47in. barrel with open sights, post 1879 French proof marks for guns made abroad and imported into France, makers mark of a crown, 'V.V.' and a star, tip-up pivoted breech-block, with articulated breech locking lever, steel action, the underside initialled 'F.V.' with peg mount, plain back-action sidelock and action retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 13 1/2in. straight-hand stock with heavy steel butt-plate, weight 22lb.

An Egyptian tent, circa 1925, of white calico appliquzd overall with hieroglyphs, scarabs and papyrus blooms, comprising: wall panel divided into ten compartments each depicting Pharaohs and handmaidens making offering to assorted deities, supported by integral wooden struts, 230 by 10m; the ceiling canopy centred by a wooden strut support, appliquzd with scarab and papyrus bloom roundels, 4 by 31/2m; an entrance canopy/flap with central scarab motif bordered by two pharoah heads, 31/2 by 4m; and a plain calico external cover, a centre post and two side posts, (qty) This fabulous tent was presented to Sir Henry Cox, the last British Resident of Jordan by King Abdullah of Jordan in the 1930's. Some of the mural designs are interpretations of the decoration of the Temple of Scity at Abdos.
