Two Chinese Dehua blanc de chine libation cups, Qing dynasty, 18th century, each with applied sprrigs of blossoming prunus, on a branch form base, the larger cup with applied label for Bluett & Sons, London, each with applied R.G label with ink inscribed stock numbers 316 & 325,10.5cm x 7cm & 11.3cm x 7.3cmH. M. Barker collection, London, UK.The larger cup has an open firing crack on the base and numerous surface scratches to the interior. No signs of any post production chips or cracks.The smaller cup a a small crack with restoration on one support. The other support has a very fine hairline crack at the opposite end. The interior with surface scratches. Each applied sprig has a fine brown stained crack/firing crack near the bottom of the stem. A small black speck on the rim, though this is likely to have been produced during firing. Both cups appear free from rim chips and any obvious rim cracks. Under a strong light the paste of the body appears white with patches of yellow. Generally overall, both are in good order other than those faults mentioned.

Otherwise all with no obvious post production visible faults.

Künstlerinfo: auch Walter Gasch, dt. Maler, Zeichner, Graphiker, Restaurator, Autor, Violinist, Sportler und NS-Funktionär (1886 Leipzig bis ca. 1962 Nentershausen-Dens bei Bebra), studierte ab 1905 an der Akademie Dresden bei Emanuel Hegenbarth und Oskar Zwintscher, hier Meisterschüler bei Gotthardt Kuehl und später bei Richard Müller, unternahm Studienreisen nach Holland, Frankreich und Italien, ab 1929 Assistent für Licht- und Tiefdruck an der Hochschule für Graphik und Buchkunst Leipzig tätig, als sächsischer Gaufachgruppenleiter der Bildenden Künste der NSDAP ab 1933 maßgeblicher Initiator der restriktiven NS-Kulturpolitik in Dresden, Mitglied der Dresdner Kunstgenossenschaft, Vorstandsmitglied im Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands und Mitglied des "Deutschen Künstlerverbandes Dresden", beschickte 1939 die große Deutsche Kunstausstellung im Haus der Deutschen Kunst München, tätig in Dresden, ab 1945 in Mönchhosbach und ab 1956 in Dens, Quelle: Vollmer, Dressler, Schülerlisten der Dresdner Akademie, Zeitungsartikel der "Fulda-Post" Ostern 1958 und Tsukerman "Geschichte und bildende Kunst - Jahrbuch 2006 für Deutsche Geschichte".
