1922 (June 26) Registered On Postal Service cover with "POST OFFICE / KOTA BHARU / (KELANTAN)" cachet, to USA, bearing 1c green and 2c brown vertical pairs and 6c claret vertical strip of three tied by Kota Bharu datestamps, edge faults but an interesting cover showing the 2c and 6c stamps were issued more than a month earlier than the date given by Gibbons.
1923-37 Covers (17) and a front from Kota Bharu all bearing 1921-28 issue stamps, including air mail covers franked 25c (2) or 55c to England, registered mail (5), cover franked 5c to England with "T" handstamp charged 1½d postage due, registered cover franked 30c to Austria with Kota Bharu Post Office wax seal, also a cover with 5c tied by Paquebot Singapore c.d.s, some faults. (18).
1937 First Day Covers, comprising July 7th covers from Kota Bharu bearing 1c + 2c + 5c or five 1c stamps or from Kuala Krai to South Africa bearing 1c + 2c + 4c, and October 16th covers from Kota Bharu franked 2c + 6c to Canada or 10c to India. Also two registered covers to England bearing the twelve 1c - 50 values, both with wax seals impressed "KOTA BHARU / R / POST OFFICE". (7).
1941 (Dec. 8) Cover to England endorsed "By Clipper via New York Air throughout", signed on the reverse by an Officer in The Malay Regiment with embossed regimental crest on the flap, franked 1940 $2 to pay the clipper rate. Cancelled by "F.P.O / 30B c.d.s at Kuala Krai, with Base Post Office 4 backstamp (Dec. 10) and triangular army censor No. 2727. A fine and scarce use of the $2 on a clipper cover. Photo on Page 168.

1940 Stamp Centenary ½d - 3d set of six in vertical strips of three, all affixed to a piece cut from the Mauritania Post Office U.P.U Specimen collection, tied by violet "SPECIMEN / COLLECTION/ MAURITANIE" handstamps. A unique archival piece, that proves these stamps were sent as Specimens to the U.P.U for distribution to member countries. (6 strips). Photo on Page 22.
Picture Postcards - Kuala Trengganu. 1925-36 Real Photo postcards (11) including views of the General Post Office, 1935 King George V Silver Jubilee celebrations (2), a Boy Scout gathering at the Royal Palace, a busy river view, celebratory arch, etc, two with stamps on the picture side cancelled to order, one posted to Java with 2c - 20c stamps on the picture side, five posted to G.B (4) or Switzerland franked 4c (3) or 6c (2), three unused. Also c.1930-55 original real photographs (11) and a few more recent postcards. (11+).
1914 (April 14) Post Office Notice "Surcharges, Introduction of "Postage Due" labels", announcing the issue of four values of postage due stamps on April 20th, no surcharges to be paid on delivery of any letter or parcel on and after that date that does not bear due stamps. Light horizontal fold, otherwise fine, very few examples known of this notice.
1940 Second Buenos Aires Peace Conference 50c - 100p set of eight all in strips of three, affixed to three archival pieces from the Mauritania Post Office Specimen collection, all overprinted "MUESTRA" by Waterlow & Sons and handstamped violet "SPECIMEN COLLECTION / MAURITANIE" upon receipt, unique. (8 strips).
Rhodesia - Nyasaland Field Force. 1916 (Dec. 21) Stampless cover with enclosed letter, from Acting Capt. James H.L Vaughan, British South Africa Police, to his wife in Portugal, with "F.P.O / 1" c.d.s used at Old Njombe, censored, delivered without charge. The enclosed letter, headed "B.S.A Police, c/o Army Post Office, Broken Hill" (suggesting mail for the Rhodesia Column was still being forwarded via A.P.O 1 in Broken Hill) includes "Our aeroplane has just arrived, tremendous excitement, especially amongst the native troops as they have never seen one before, as a matter of fact many of my men have not either. Just as he passed over our camp he looped the loop, excitement was intense then, natives could not understand it. They say a bird can't do it, how then can a white man". An interesting letter, to an unusual destination.
Post Offices Abroad. 1863-1913 Mint and used collection in an album including 1863 6k on medium paper unused, 1865 ROPIT first issue 10pa and 2pi mint (10pa with Mikulishi certificate), 1865-67 second and third ROPIT issues (11), 1872-90 vertically laid paper 10k mint, 1876-79 surcharges (4), covers (4) including 1909 ROPIT anniversary 70pi on registered cover from Constantinople, etc. Also 1920-21 Wrangel Refugee Post issues with a cover from Constantinople, 1918 Polish Corps in Russia (4, with 3k, 25k) used on pieces, 1919-21 Polish P.O in Constantinople with 1920 15f postcard used, Polish L.O.P.P air post stamps, etc. (c.400). First Day Cover. 1914 (Apr. 19) Stampless postcard posted within Folkestone with a 1d charge mark, a 1d postage due applied the following day on the first day of issue, tied by Folkestone P.P (Parcel Post) c.d.s., the message refers to the new stamps. Pinhole (with surrounding white circle) at upper edge, otherwise fine. Photo on Page 10.
1819 (Oct. 17) Entire letter from Frome to "Q.M Serjt Rayside, H.M 66th Regt, Saint Helena" prepaid 1/11, with light Frome handstamp, London Paid datestamp and red oval "Post Paid Ship Letter / (crown) / LONDON" (Jay 1248a, Robertson S41, only recorded in red in 1819), backstamped with the very scarce double oval datestamp (Jay 1424, only recorded 1818-19 on covers passing through London with a London Ship Letter handstamp). The letter is from a former soldier discussing money, debts and pensions. Tear at lower left edge, otherwise fine, two scarce handstamps and an unusual destination, sent shortly after the Packet Service to St. Helena had ceased. Photo on Page 220.
