The two-part manju netsuke of circular domed form, the tsuishu side carved with prunus blossoms against a hanabishi ground, the silver side neatly incised with a recumbent ox. SEVEN JAPANESE CARVED WOODEN OKIMONO AND NESTSUKE, the okimono comprises an oval shaped carved and pierced boxwood group of fish, lobster crab, squid and coral, a fish and crustaceans fitted with glass eyes, signed to lobster's tail, height 6cm x length 10.5cm, a seated monkey eating a fruit, height 6cm and three graduated turtles, the netsuke comprising a boxwood mother and baby monkeys, signed to base, height 4cm and two monkeys playing, signed to base, height 4.5cm (7) (Condition report: the largest turtle has splits in the back but otherwise most pieces are in good condition with all glass eyes intact, the fish okimono is very dusty internally)
