3 PCS ASIAN CARVED IVORY NETSUKE & STUDIESLot of 3 hand carved Asian ivory items including a Chinese Qing Dynasty seated happy Buddha figure, Japanese carved netsuke figure depicting a man with book, and a man with bread basket netsuke. Largest piece measures 1 3/4 inch height (4.4 cm). Total weight of 94 grams.
A Japanese Ivory Netsuke, Meiji period (1868-1912), as a seated man holding a goblet and oni pulling him to one side, signed to red lacquer panel, 5cm; Another, as a reclining figure on a stool, signed, 4cm; and Another, as two figures struggling before a lady, 4.5cm (3) Third netsuke of figures and a lady - the fan in her right hand with half missing. Chip to rear of base. All three with minor surface wear, discolouration and very minor surface splitting. 210213
