An early 20th Century Japanese carved ivory netsuke as a puffa fish, signed to base, 6 cm long CONDITION REPORTS All over various surface scratches. Down the back are some deep split/crack looking areas. Around the fin and the belly there are three long ones and a few smaller ones later infilled with various dirt and grime. A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory netsuke as a mask maker, seated with a giant mask, bears inset signature to base, 3.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Light scratches to the surface throughout. The pattern on the gentleman's robes round the back and to his right hand arm are more worn than to the pattern on his tunic to the front. Small signs of wear throughout.
