Six small Oriental items - comprising a bronze dog of Fo, 8.3cm high; a carved pale grey striped agate turtle, 6.6cm long; a small Japanese circular cloisonné trinket box, 7.3cm diameter; a Chinese export porcelain blue and white tea bowl (possibly from the Tek Sing shipwreck), 8.3cm diameter, hairline to rim; a Japanese carved fruitwood netsuke bead of a rat; and a shallow white-metal bowl with a parcel gilt clover leaf rondel and incised five-character mark to base, 9cm diameter.
Pair of Chinese carved jade netsuke spoons or tea scoops. Each spoon is of a rich and verdant spinach green jade with a flower skillfully carved along the neck, where the stem meets the bowl of the spoon. With a custom made case.(Each spoon) height: 8 1/4 in x width: 1 1/4 in x depth: 1/4 in. Gross weight: 116.8 g.Condition: There are no major losses. There is one repaired break along the stem of one of the spoons. Minute chips along the extreme edges of the bowl of the spoon. Light wear and faint accretions throughout. Light wear to the case.

A JAPANESE WOOD NETSUKE OF A WISE MONKEY, CIRCLE OF NAITO TOYOMASA (1773-1856) EDO PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY Tamba School, looking rather rotund as it is depicted seated on its haunches covering its ears; its hair finely incised and with the eyes inlaid in light horn, the pupils painted in black ink; inscribed Toyomasa on the back of its leg, 3.1cm. The Sanbiki no Saru (Three Wise Monkeys) are a highly popular subject in Japanese Art, with the 'hear no evil' monkey usually identified as Kikazaru. THREE JAPANESE NETSUKE MEIJI ERA, 19TH CENTURYThe first a square tsuishu lacquer hako netsuke, both sides decorated with pine branches on a cell diaper ground, signed Yosei saku on the inside, 4.5cm; another carved as bamboo shoots, the largest with wormholes revealing the small figure of Moso inside, one of the Twenty-Four Paragons of Filial Piety, 4.8cm; the third possibly ebony, carved as a chrysanthemum flowerhead, the petals realistically curled up, signed Kyokusai (possibly for Tsukamoto Kyokusai) underneath, 3.6cm.
