A fine 19th century Japanese Shibayama style inro, the ivory body with four cases and cover, decorated with raised lacquer and mother of pearl design of a seated sparrow hawk amongst cherry blossom to front, and a similar hawk with wings spread to reverse, probably late Meiji period, signed to MOP panel to base with two character mark for Shibayama and one other character below, strung with cord, sold with the carved lacquer ojime of a seated figure and a carved walnut netsuke with script and grotesque mask, see condition report (3)
