A 19th Century Japanese wood and shibayama ovoid pouch and cover, the front decorated in low relief with flowerheads and leaves in polychrome, gold lacquer and mother-of-pearl, the bowed detachable cover with string tie and bead netsuke, applied ceramic seal signature, 5 3/4" high (minor damage).
A Japanese Meiji signed ivory netsuke of a man carrying a woven basket, in traditional dress, signed both to the revers and on an inset brass plaque to the foot plus an early 20th century Japanese carved walnut ojime bead, the whole nut carved overall with intricate figural scenes, along with a number of ivory parasol tops and a red lacquer button.
