Dieser Künstler wurde erstmals 2020 identifiziert. Siehe: Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard: "Du nouveau sur : le miniaturiste d'Allancé, à présent identifié", in: La Lettre de la Miniature, Nr. 53, Mai 2020, S. 11. Dort ist zu lesen: "Ses miniatures, connues en très petit nombre à l'heure actuelle, s'échelonnent de 1841 à 1845 et furent principalement exécutées à Metz". Die Seltenheit seiner Werke erklärt sich durch seinen frühen Tod im Alter von 36 Jahren. Er hinterließ eine Witwe, Charlotte Joséphine Coutin (1816-1849), die zwei Jahre nach ihm verstarb, und drei kleine Kinder, von denen die beiden überlebenden von ihrer behinderten Großmutter väterlicherseits großgezogen wurden.
