Bengal Native Infantry), taken on the eve of his departure for India in 1837, 24cms x 19cms (9 1/2" x 7 1/2") approx, black frame, inscribed on reverse. (1)* His descendant Richard William Howard Gorges was implicated in the theft of the Irish Crown Jewels, as part of the Shackleton Set.
