Rectangular gilt framed and glazed, 19th Century, portrait miniature on ivory of a lady in blue dress with white lace trim and dark curled hair, seated at a small table painting with easel, beside her husband, also seated holding a recorder and sheet of music, in a hinged Morocco leather case, 11cm x 16cm.
English School (1785), PORTRAIT OF GENERAL ELLIOT, BUST LENGTH, IN UNIFORM Miniature, watercolour, pen and ink and gilt, on brown paper applied on to a paper mount within a black border, inscribed below 'Drawn at Gibraltar 22 May 1785 by a Drummer of the 25th Reg.', inscribed verso 'Part of the Floating Battery', image 8.5cm diameter, in a cedar frame George Augustus Elliot, Lord Heathfield of Gibraltar, held the British fortress during the Spanish Siege of 1779-83. Sir Joshua Reynolds painted his portrait, which was purchased for the nation in 1824, and he is also depicted in many commemorative pieces by Staffordshire potters. CONDITION REPORT: Paper browned. Gold smudged and flecks missing. Craquelure and paint loss. Not viewed out of frame.
A 19th Century horn circular box, the lift off cover with domed glazed top under which is an ivory miniature of a young man, inscribed to the reverse of the lid "Mr Rose", the base of the horn circular box with applied label printed "Robert Burns", 7.5 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Lid rim broken and reglued, and quite a lot of glue deposits to inside of lid. The ivory portrait is broken/cracked vertically from top to bottom, and has some chips and scuffs and some areas of touch-up paint. Base of box is quite scuffed and scratched and has some chips and cracks. Metal rim holding the glass appears to have been reglued.

Gerard Bower Heath who died of wounds in France 22nd May 1918 aged 29, sold with an engraved booklet of memories of him and his bravery printed for his memorial service, `Nulli Secundis, The Record of the Coldstream Guards`, 12mo, 1916, an enamelled white metal Coldstream Guards badge and a small quantity of other badges etc.

Attributed to Alexander Gallaway (act. 1794 - 1812), miniature portrait on ivory - study of a gentleman wearing black coat, inscribed on reverse - '...A. Gallaway pinxit...1811', in leather folding case, 8cm x 6.5cm CONDITION REPORT Crack to top right hand corner and a scratch above his head. Otherwise good condition. The silk is torn and nearly all missing from the inside of the case, leather case showing signs of wear and one piece missing from side. Painted on ivory
