The breast plate carries the number XXXV.

The gold clasp of oval shape, inset to the front with a miniature panel oil on ivory, depicting, amorous putti, signed indistinct monogram `PL`. The border of the clasp set with old cut diamonds (some lacking). The rear engraved with an adaptation of Shakespearean prose, `Come let us tread the flow`ry paths of peace, since faith hath seal`d the irrevocable doom, let`s soar together to yon realms of bliss, and think we`re happy being call`d so soon`. The box clasp bearing rubbed french gold charge marks. Approx 4.5cm max diam.
