A 19th century Hanau silver mounted ovoid locket by Gebruder Dingeldein. Decorated with Watteaesque figures and opening to reveal a moss agate tablet and ivory portrait miniature of a lady wearing a black feathered hat and choker. Punch marks, 6cm. Condition report intended as a guide only.Missing a small amount of serrated holding triangles front and rear. No other issues. Clasp functioning.

Two 19th Century miniatures, one of a gentleman with blue jacket and white cravat and the other of a young lady with high collared dress, a cut out image of a lady beside table inscribed "L Bruce Faringdon Street, London & Somerset Place, Brighton" to base and an Angelica Kauffman style print all housed in ebonised frames together with a copy of Christie's Silhouette & Portrait Miniature sale catalogue 12th May 1993 CONDITION REPORTS The gent only - no visible cracks however there is a raised area on the right hand side of the miniature and appears to have been restored in some way. Otherwise general wear and tear, dirt, etc. Crazing to the frame. Appears to be a scratch underneath the glass under his left lapel as you look at him. See images for more details.
A 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Young Gentleman with Blue Overcoat and White Shirt", circular miniature portrait study, oil on ivory, unsigned CONDITION REPORTS Has some flaking / crazing to the paint particularly noticeable on his left hand shoulder as you look at him. Glass in need of a good clean. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Surface scratches, etc to the frame. See images for more details.
A 19th century mourning pendant / brooch, painted with a portrait miniature on ivory of a lady in a bonnet within a yellow metal frame with plaited hair border, the reverse with a a plait of hair together with a brooch painted miniature of a spaniel in a gilt frame with lock of hair to the reverse and a yellow metal pendant with a print of a gentleman CONDITION REPORT: The spaniel portrait is painted onto a porcelain panel, not glazed over, there is paint loss and some chips to the edge, painted decoration has some wear, the portrait of the lady, the colours are muted, the yellow metal border and back has surface scratches conversant with use
A late 19th century Memorial Portrait Miniature, depicting Theodor Goldstuker, in a yellow metal locket frame with brooch pin and suspension loop, inscribed to reverse Theodor Goldstucker Sanskrittist Gestorben 6th March 1872. The Subject painted in oils is bust length, face on wearing a mourning suite, 5.5cm by 4.8cm. Note: Theodor Goldstucker (1821-1872) was a student and later Professor of Sanskrit at University College London. He was also an Indian Philosopher. He founded the Sanskrit Text Society (see JewishEncyclopedia.com)
