Registration No: ETV 795Chassis No: 812692593MOT: Exempt1 of just circa 80 examples producedCurrent ownership since 1979 and displaying a credible 104,600 milesOriginal sales brochure, collection of old MOTs, invoices plus Brown logbookA rare and exciting opportunity for all lovers of pre-war performance cars One of just circa eighty examples produced, ETV 795 with its Big Six engine wears attractive drophead coupe coachwork by W C Atcherley of Birmingham and has been in the current ownership since 1979. Currently displaying a credible 104,600 miles on its odometer, the first owner is believed to have been a Mrs Minnie Sheriff, a lady friend of Brough’s. Originally acquired by the vendor in an Alexandra Palace auction, the car has been enjoyed on numerous events including Continental tours to most European countries. Repainted some thirty years ago it has also benefited from a gearbox overhaul by Jeff Moor, carburettor overhaul in 2007, engine overhaul in 2005 and a complete rewire. A stainless-steel exhaust, Kenlowe fan and backup electric fuel pump are fitted and we understand a quantity of spares are available by separate negotiation. Offered with an original sales brochure, VSCC eligibility document, collection of old MOTs back to 1980, V5C, assorted invoices plus brown logbook this finely engineered drophead coupe represents a rare and exciting opportunity for lovers of pre-war performance cars. The Brough name is better known in relation to motorcycles than cars, as the company produced over 3,000 two-wheelers between 1919 and 1940. Dubbed the `Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles', they were prestige machines that attracted a discerning clientele, and among the many famous Brough owners were George Bernard Shaw and T E Lawrence (`Lawrence of Arabia') who had no less than eight and, of course, famously lost his life on one. The firm's car production was miniscule by comparison and limited to circa eighty-five examples, but they echoed their two-wheeled cousins in terms of quality. Three models were designed but only two made it into series production - the 4-Litre straight-eight manufactured in 1935/36 and the ensuing 3.5-Litre straight six which produced 107bhp giving 0-60 in 12 seconds and a top speed of 90mph. Most Broughs sported striking Drophead Coupe bodies, which were produced by W C Atcherley of Birmingham.Footnote: For more information, please contact:James McWilliamjames.mcwilliam@handh.co.uk07943 584760

Registration No: DMT 612VChassis No: 2F05H144008MOT: ExemptRecently fitted with a new Holley carburettor351 cubic-inch V8 Windsor engine coupled to a 4-speed manual gearboxTorque-Thrust wheels and front disc brakesImported into the UK in 1980PLEASE NOTE: This lot was in running order when photographed for the catalogue however when being loaded for the auction the starter motor failed. Upon inspection it could not be repaired so a new starter motor has been ordered and will be forward to the successful buyer. The last year in which Ford's iconic pony car would escape being saddled with mandatory federal '5mph impact' bumpers and the year in which the Boss 351 and 429 Big Block were dropped due to emissions regulations, 1972 also represented the penultimate season of first-generation Mustang production. It was the final fling of Ford’s muscle car performance engine era. This impressive Mustang was imported into the United Kingdom in 1980 hence its ‘V’ registration plate. Thought to have arrived via the US Military personal import arrangement, it has a 351 cubic-inch V8 Windsor motor coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Finished in Canary Yellow and riding on Torque-Thrust wheels, the original steering wheel has been replaced by a vintage leather Motolita item, and the gear lever is a ‘white ball’ Hurst shifter. A new Holley carburettor and fuel pump have recently been fitted and new spark plugs. The carpets were replaced and a major brake service carried out (including a new master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders) before the car was stored around six years ago. Fitted with desirable disc brakes at the front, the history file shows that in 2009 clutch and prop shaft work amounted to £3,150. Although the chassis number decodes as 1972 for the year of manufacture the body style is c.1969/70. Possibly the result of being back dated at some stage.Footnote: For more information, please contact:James McWilliamjames.mcwilliam@handh.co.uk07943 584760

Registration No: F673 TRUChassis No: 8266SMOT: November 202229,640 miles from new and current ownership since 2010Powered by a Rover V8 engine mated to a 5-Speed manual gearboxOffered with a collection of invoices and old MOT's This low-mileage Spyder has covered just c.29,640 miles from new having been in the current ownership since 2010. Powered by a Rover V8 engine mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox ‘F673TRU’ is finished in dark blue with blue interior, the specification includes electric windows and a stainless-steel exhaust. Offered with a collection of invoices, assorted old MOT's back to 1993, current MoT to November 2022 and a Marcos build manual, the Spyder benefits from an oil and filter change carried out in January this year whilst the vendor currently rates it as having “good” bodywork, engine, transmission and interior with “average” paintwork.Founded by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin in 1959, Marcos was to become synonymous with British sports car building for road and track use during the 1960s before difficulties with the American market and the expense of new premises caused the firm to close in the early 1970s. The Marcos name was resurrected by Jem Marsh in 1981 with the premise of offering the previous GT models as kits. Power options were mainly Ford, Rover and Triumph units ranging from humble four-cylinders to larger V6s and V8s. Making its debut in 1993, the Mantula was similar to the old GT but was powered by Rover’s 3.5-litre V8 coupled to a five-speed transmission. The light alloy engine gave the car an all-up weight of around 900kg making performance on a par with rival models from TVR and Morgan. In 1989 the convertible or Spyder version was introduced which went on to become the most popular variant. A total of 170 coupes and 119 Spyders were built before Marcos retired from the kit car business in 1992 to concentrate on factory offerings.Footnote: For more information, please contact:James McWilliamjames.mcwilliam@handh.co.uk07943 584760

Registration No: GU03 PBXChassis No: WDB2304742F038502MOT: 06 July 2022Currently displays 87,251 miles and boasts a fantastic specification including panoramic roof, AMG styling package, Keyless Go, heated massage seats, BOSE premium audio and moresubject to replacement discs and pads in December of 2020 at over £1,000, as well as replacement water pump, belts, engine mounts and gearbox mounts in July of 2020 at over £1,300accompanied with the original backpack, which includes the service booklet containing 10 stamps, with the most recent in May of this year some 300 miles ago Notable as the most powerful production car ever fielded by Mercedes-Benz upon its launch in 2002, the SL55 AMG received rave reviews from the contemporary motoring press. Boasting one of the greatest engines of the 2000s, its supercharged 5.5-litre V8 produced some 476bhp and 700Nm of torque (the latter at just 2,650rpm). Allied to a five-speed automatic transmission, it enabled the two-seater to sprint from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 155mph. Though, AMG ‘let slip’ that a de-limited yet otherwise standard example has been clocked at 205mph! Surprisingly civilized given the performance on tap, the SL55 boasted a full suite of ‘creature comforts’. Visually enhanced via re-profiled bumpers, quad exhaust tips and 18-inch alloy wheels, demand for the newcomer soon outstripped supply. An undoubted modern classic and one of those cars which is more than a sum of its parts, the SL55 AMG enjoys something of a cult following.Presented in Brilliant Silver Metallic with contrasting Black/Anthracite leather interior, GU03 PBX was registered in 2003 and boasts a fantastic specification including panoramic roof, AMG styling package, Keyless Go, heated massage seats, BOSE premium audio and more. Currently displaying 87,251 miles, the car was subject to replacement discs and pads in December of 2020 at a cost of £1,074, as well as replacement water pump, belts, engine mounts and gearbox mounts in July of 2020 at a cost of £1,310.14. GU03 PBX is offered with its original book pack, which includes the service booklet containing 10 stamps (the most recent being in May of this year and some 300 miles ago), invoices totalling nearly £16,000, a number of previous MOTs and V5 document. The vendor rates the condition of the vehicle as ‘Very Good’ all round.Footnote: For more information, please contact:Andreas Hicksandreas.hicks@handh.co.uk07943584762

Registration No: AOG 462Chassis No: 155462MOT: ExemptPowered by the well-respected 1271cc 6 cyl OHC Wolseley engine, 'AOG 462' was registered in Sept 1934 as a 'Shelsley Special', and is thought to have been bodied by Samuel Holbrook Ltd.Restored in 1992-98 with evidential receipts and photos on file, it was treated to further works in 2015-16 as well as routine servicingThe substantial accompanying paperwork includes restoration receipts / invoices / images, period photos and the original (1934) RF 60 buff logbook which helps chronicle the ownership history since new.Reported to be in 'outstanding condition', 'AOG 462' represents an exceptional opportunity to purchase what must be one of the best looking Hornet Specials produced, and a viable alternative to the 6 cylinder MG's of the period According to its original buff logbook, chassis 155462 was first registered as ‘AOG 462’ by Birmingham C.B.C. on 12th September 1934. The same document lists it as a ‘Shelsey Special’ which was a designation typically given to Wolseley Hornets that had been bodied by Samuel Holbrook Ltd of Wolverhampton. Understood to have had just six keepers from new, the fifth of these - Libby Mason Fenwick – treated it to much restoration work during her forty-seven year tenure. From 1992-1998, attention was paid to the car’s floor, seats, scuttle, bonnet, valance, exhaust, dashboard, windscreen frame, wiring harness, ignition parts, kingpins, wheels, tyres, bearings, hubs, headlamps, brakes, radiator, dampers, rear axle, chomework, body, paint and trim. A cylinder head overhaul in 2004-2005 encompassed welding and machining, valves, valve guides, studs, camshaft, springs, timing chain and gaskets but also saw the carburettors, distributor, petrol pump and water pump overhauled. Entrusted to the Chairman of the Wolseley Hornet Special Club, Barry Baxter, during 2008, ‘AOG 462’ benefited from a new clutch, reconditioned oil pump, gearbox overhaul and engine refurbishment (rebored / honed block, reground crankshaft, new white metal bearings, fresh pistons, composite head gasket etc). Further improved since entering the current ownership in 2014, the Shelsey Special has gained: new wings, wing stays, rear valance, exhaust, Blockley tyres, Brooklands steering wheel, aero screens, dashboard, chromework, restored seats, new upholstery and a respray. Plus fettling of its distributor, steering box, gearbox, differential, gauges, radiator, carburettors, brakes and linings etc. The water pump was overhauled in 2017, the fuel pump replaced during 2018 and 2020-2021 has seen the original distributor rejuvenated and the battery, coil and HT leads renewed not to mention oil changes for the engine, gearbox, differential and steering box plus a grease service. Surely Wolseley Hornet Specials do not come much better! Offered for sale with hood, tonneau, original buff logbook and copy instruction manual and factory parts book.Footnote: For more information, please contact: Damian Jonesdamian.jones@handh.co.uk 07855 493737

Registration No: PCE 846J Chassis No: AAVC.299317 MOT: August 2022In sole family ownership from new and offered directly from said familyPurchased new in 1970 by Professor Barrie Rickards, distinguished palaeontologist and ‘angling colossus’ and remained in his ownership until his passing in 2009Very rare Austin variant of the Morris Minor Pickup and Van rangeOffered with a history fileAfter much production success with the Morris Minor, a closed van and open flat-bed ("pick-up") versions were launched from 1953 until the end of production. They were designed for commercial use with small businesses, although many were also used by larger corporations. Both the van and the pickup differed from the monocoque construction of the Saloon and Traveller variants by having a separate chassis. They also differed in details such as telescopic rear dampers, stiffer rear leaf springs and lower-ratio differentials to cope with heavier loads. As BMC's policy was to provide both Austin and Morris with complete commercial vehicle ranges, Austin-badged variants of the Minor van and pick-up were sold following the end of Austin A35 production in 1968. These featured Austin badging and the corporate Austin 'crinkle-cut’ radiator grille but were otherwise identical to the standard Minor commercials, and were sold as the Austin 6cwt and Austin 8cwt.Purchased new in 1970 by Professor Barrie Rickards, the distinguished paleontologist and writer as well as respected angler. Used during many an angling trip throughout his ownership, the Austin van remained in his ownership until his passing in 2009, upon which ‘PCE 846J’ entered the ownership of his partner (the sole other keeper). Finished in Green, the 6 CWT van is fitted with an Ivor Seale engine mated to the four-speed manual gearbox. Showing one erroneous keeper change during Professor Rickards ownership due to a change of address, ‘PCE 846J’ is accompanied by past logbooks illustrating the address change adding said keeper. The history file further includes a selection of past work and service invoices; a current MOT certificate until August 2022 as well as previous certificates; ‘The Book of the Morris Minor 1000’ and other sundry paperwork.Footnote: For more information, please contact: Paul Cheetham paul.cheetham@handh.co.uk 07538 667452

Registration No: OPC 389WChassis No: BL006207MOT: ExemptCurrent ownership since 2010Imported into the UK from Kuwait in 1981Understood to be 1 of just 4 examples in the UKDescribed as being “one of the most beautiful sports cars VW ever designed” by the German publication Hobby Magazine, it is perhaps a shame the SP2 was never officially offered to the European market. The model, based on the VW Variant, was developed by Volkswagen Brazil and offered between 1972 and 1976. Powered by a 1700cc engine and known as ‘Project X’ the prototype debuted in 1971. Sadly, its relative lack of performance against local opposition resulted in production ending in February 1976 after c.10,000 units had been built of which just 670 were exported with just one of these making it to Europe via Portugal. This left-hand drive example has been with the vendor since 2010 having been imported to the UK from Kuwait. It is understood to be one of just four examples in the UK currently. Retaining its original floor plan, the bodywork is said to have avoided the rust problems suffered by most. The SP2 is powered by a replacement VW Heritage SP2 1641cc engine (fitted in 2018) that breathes through twin Dellorto DRLA carburettors. These were installed and tuned by Rawspeed of Plymouth. We have been advised that all of the original engine parts not incorporated into the replacement engine can be collected from the vendor and that a stainless-steel exhaust created by Turbo Thomas is fitted. The gearbox has been overhauled by Bears Motorsport and the car is offered with a comprehensive history file which includes Arabic service invoices, import documentation, old MoTs, old blue logbook and a rare original handbook.Footnote: For more information, please contact:James McWilliamjames.mcwilliam@handh.co.uk07943 584760

Registration No: YB03 EDXChassis No: WVWZZZ1JZ3W623236MOT: 08 November 2022Extremely rare Golf V5 model, which makes use of the only V5 automobile engine to reach productionOffered with just 16,737 miles on the odometer, 2 former keeers and an MOT valid until 08 November 2022Accompanied with the service booklet that contains 9 stamps, with the last at 13,967 miles The successor to the MK3, the MK4 Golf was Launched in October 1997 for the 1998 model year. With many variants offered, perhaps unknown but rather interesting is the V5 model. The V5 is mostly remembered for producing some intoxicating sounds and is an incredibly important car in automotive history, making use of the only V5 automobile engine to reach production. This 2.3 L (140 cu in) "VR5" engine manufactured by Volkswagen from 1997 to 2006 was Based on Volkswagen's VR6 engine, the VR5 was a narrow-angle engine with staggered cylinders (three cylinders on one bank and two on the other) sharing a single cylinder head. As per the VR6 engine, the angle between the banks was 15 degrees. The intention of the Golf V5 was to slot above the 1.8L turbo engine but below the high-performance VR6. When it was launched, the V5 produced 148 horsepower which fit nicely between the VR6's 200 horsepower and the 1.8-liter turbo's 134 horsepower. The V5 was then improved in the year 2000 with updated cams and variable valve timing allowing it to produce an impressive 168 horsepower. In today's world it's important to remember unconventional engines, and this is no exception.Manufactured in its final year of production, YB03 EDX is presented in silver with contrasting black leather interior, featuring sports seats and sports steering wheel. An extremely rare vehicle as it stands, this is made an even more exciting proposition with the vehicle’s mileage sitting at just 16,737 and showing only 2 former keepers on the V5 document. YB03 EDX comes accompanied with the service booklet containing 9 stamps, with the last in 2019 at 13,967 miles, as well as the V5 document and an MOT certificate valid until 08 November 2022. The vendor rates the condition of the bodywork, paintwork, transmission and gearbox and interior trim as ‘Good’, with the engine and electrical equipment as ‘Very Good’.Footnote: For more information, please contact:Andreas Hicksandreas.hicks@handh.co.uk07943584762

Registration No: BF 7219Chassis No: A4201822MOT: ExemptOne of the rarest and most desirable Model A’s produced, presented in Washington Blue with Riviera Blue beltline and Tacoma Cream strip and wheelsSubject to engine overhaul in June of 2020 at a cost of £2,037In current ownership for the last 6 years as part of a private collectionThe Model A’s introduction was a highly anticipated event, as Ford proved that it had perfected the art of effective product placement in one of the most successful new product launches in automotive history. The Ford Model A was manufactured between 1928 and 1931 and was the second huge success for Ford after its predecessor. The Model A was offered in a wide variety of body styles and was the first Ford to incorporate the standard set of driver controls with a conventional clutch, brake pedal, accelerator and gearshift. The engine was a water cooled in-line four cylinder arrangement with a capacity of 3.3 litres. With a conventional three speed gearbox, (plus reverse), the top speed was around 65mph. Stopping was by four wheel drum brakes operated by rods. Manufactured in the final two years of the Model A’s Production, the Deluxe Phaeton represented the top of the line and offered the pinnacle in sporting design, with an even lower roofline. Perhaps one of the most desirable Model A variants, out of the 4,858,644 Model A’s manufactured, only 2,229 were manufactured in the final year. To put into perspective, these cars are one in 2180, or as a percentage, these cars represented 0.00046% of model A’s. Nowadays, it is believed just a handful remain worldwide.Presented in Washington Blue with Riviera Blue beltline and Tacoma Cream strip and wheels, BF 7219 was restored to a very high standard some 45 years ago. As the story goes, the car was transported from concours event to event over a 30 year period covering a mere 200 miles (presumably just positioning the car). It was then sold to the next enthusiastic owner in River Falls, Wisconsin and he covered around 700 miles before it headed to the UK in 2015 for the pricely sum of $65,000 where it spent the summer receiving numerous awards on the show field before being purchased by its current owner that year, who has since kept the vehicle as part of a private collection. In June last year, BF 7219 was subject to an engine overhaul at the cost of £2,037, and comes accompanied with a folder including the v5 document, previous receipts, import paperwork and more.Footnote: For more information, please contact:Andreas Hicksandreas.hicks@handh.co.uk07943584762

Stanley Paine (British, B. 1934) "Model T Ford" Signed lower right. Original Oil painting on Illustration Board. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting is the original painting which was published on the Fleetwood First Day Cover for the Great Britain 19 1/2p Model T & Escort Ford stamp issued October 13, 1982. The Ford Model T, known affectionately as the "Tin Lizzie," was a simple, sturdy and utilitarian car. Like many of the people who owned it, it was also practical and hardworking. During the eighteen years, from 1909 through 1926, that the Model T was being produced, its share of the automobile industry's total output averaged an amazing 42.9 per cent. In six of those years, production of this classic car topped fifty per cent of total cars produced. The Model T was the car that introduced millions of Americans to the auto age, which in large part explains the folklore and nostalgia that surrounds this famous automobile. Many Americans can still remember their proud first day behind the wheel of their Model T. Countless photographs of parents and children posed around the Model T tell of its importance to the American family. Indeed, every owner had a favorite story to relate about the Model T and at least two home remedies telling how to start the car on a winter's morning. Some drivers put their cars up on blocks the moment the snow fell. The less thrifty might invest five dollars in a Simon Primer, an electrically heated manifold. The Model T was always painted black. It always had a four cylinder, water-cooled engine and a two-speed gearbox with reverse. In 1914, Ford opened a factory in Manchester to produce the Model T. Although the car that had won America's heart was popular in Britain, it was never the success there that it had been in its homeland. Image Size: 6 x 7 in. Overall Size: 11.75 x 13 in. Unframed.  A truly exceptional SC Targa with only 37,000 miles from new. Astonishing condition.Stunning 3-litre, right-hand drive, SC Targa in Guards Red with a Pasha interiorPowered by a 180bhp, 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a five-speed, 915 transmission This SC Targa is a true survivor, having lived a sheltered life in Jersey for almost 40 yearsIt has covered less than 37,000 miles and been serviced every few years as requiredOur vendor is known for being particularly fastidious and with the red paint having faded slightly in the Jersey sunshine, he removed the engine, gearbox and seats prior to refreshing the paintworkTo his astonishment, the Guards Red responded to a good clean so the gleaming finish is the original 42-year old  'Factory' paint, the car has not been resprayedIt's accompanied by its document pouch with the usual manuals and service records, correspondence, invoices and MOTs etcThe 3-litre SC was a great car anyway but at this low mileage, in such sparkling condition and on offer at 'No Reserve', this is a remarkable opportunity. This sparkling SC Targa lived happily in Jersey up until 2020, followed by Southport until recently, and the effect of years of sunshine in the Channel Islands was very much evident in the Porsche's Guards Red paintwork. Our vendor, who has vast experience of modern classics and is known to be particularly fastidious, assumed that the car would need to be repainted before sale so the engine, gearbox and seats etc. were removed prior to the inevitable respray. To his surprise, having started to clean it, the factory paintwork had remained in top condition under the dull red haze. The car was professionally cleaned and carefully gone through mechanically with amazing results as you can see from the images. The current indicated mileage is 36,980 and the car's History File is very interesting. It includes the factory wallet which contains a service book showing dealers (in period) as well as a letter directly from Porsche explaining that the space-saver spare wheel does not conform to current UK directives (in 1979) and them not being true radials. As such the car came with 12 months recovery and free puncture repair within the UK and Isle of Man but not the Channel Islands!! There is an accountants receipt from 1990 for £17,500, detailing the sale of J12077 to a Mr K Pinel with a statement that the car had first been registered to that plate on 7/5/1980 at a mileage of 18,900. There are a couple of receipts from Porsche Centre Jersey in 1991, a 1997 Porsche Club GB Membership relating to Miss Worrin, an insurance valuation for £12,000 in 1999 stating the mileage as 26,500, and a service invoice dated 2001 from Jersey Garage ( Five Oaks) at 28,213 miles. In 2004, ownership appears to have transferred to a Mr Lebacle who paid £741.44 to Oakhurst Garage for a service at 34,503 miles. Car #047 of just 50 official UK-market, Passion Red examples in exceptional condition.A genuine Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition (CP9A / SNGF2) SCP car (1 of 212)It is also an official UK-market example, Number #047 of just 50Imported by Mitsubishi-affiliated 'Ralliart UK', finished in Ralliart Passion Red First registered in the UK as a new car on 14-6-2001. Four former keepers59,958 miles from new supported by a comprehensive and detailed historyHighly collectable, these original rally homologation icons continue to generate serious interestBy mid-1996, Mitsubishi"s rallying success began to really reflect in Lancer Evolution sales. The 1996 WRC season brought Mitsubishi, together with a blisteringly quick Finn named Tommi Makinen, its first World Rally Championship drivers" title. The fiercely competitive Makinen borrowed the phrase "maximum attack" and used it to devastating effect.By 1997, rallying had captured the imagination of petrol-heads all over the world and Mitsubishi sold 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! In quick succession, the Lancer Evolution VI came to be and in the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite son"s four consecutive WRC drivers" titles from 1996-1999 – the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI "Tommi Makinen Edition" (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour de force, but the TME had a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension ("tuned to give improved initial response on tarmac surfaces"), quicker steering, a different exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for even better cooling and authentic 17-inch WRC Enkei alloy wheels. Plus there was a special interior, featuring embossed Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel and red stitching. The performance upgrades saw the 0-60mph sprint obliterated in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150 mph. Power was rumoured to be over 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp "agreement".Widely regarded as the finest Lancer to wear the Evolution badge, it was now available in five colours, with Passion Red and Canal Blue joining Scotia White, Pyrenean Black and Satellite Silver. Only 250 TMEs (across the five colours) were officially imported into the UK, with 100 examples going to Australia, and the rest sold domestically in the Japanese Market. Official figures show that of the UK"s allocation, only 50 examples were in Passion Red. According to Mitsubishi, it was these Passion Red cars that automatically received the renowned racing decals, known as a "Special Colour Package" (SCP), meaning these cars were factory-fitted with black door handles (so as to not break the line of the long profile decal). In the world of Mitsubishi aficionados, the consensus is that there were just 212 official factory SCP examples of the TME produced. The car presented here then is very special indeed. Not only is it a genuine Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition (CP9A / SNGF2) SCP car (i.e.1 of 212), but it is also an official UK-market example. This means it was officially imported by Mitsubishi-affiliated 'Ralliart UK', hence it would have been professionally SVA'd and is supplied with UK service books, a calibrated speedometer, an unleaded-spec fuel restrictor, cold-climate battery and an alternator, plus it is individually number with a plaque in the cabin - in this case Number 47.This Evo VI 'TME' was first registered in the UK as a new car on 14-6-2001 and has covered 59,900 miles from new in the hands of four former keepers. Finished in the traditional and original Ralliart Passion Red, it looks magnificent today and still performs as well as it looks. In need of some new discs in the near future, it is offered in otherwise exceptional condition by our late and much respected vendor. The early history is all neatly put in to sections for each year right the way from 2001 to 2012, and all subsequent bills and receipts are filed separately . They all confirm the mileage as genuine and the car retains its original and unmodified engine and gearbox. The MOT is valid until 24/09/2022.Highly collectable today, this twice award-winning car represents a real opportunity to both own and enjoy, safe in the knowledge that interest and demand continues to grow for these original rally homologation icons.SpecificationMake: MITSUBISHIModel: EVOLUTION VIYear: 2001Chassis Number: CP9A0201454Registration Number: Y995 GHWTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 4G63BG2971Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 59958 MilesMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

Sympathetically restored a few years ago and only lightly used since, this is a superb example of the 'game-changing' Mk1 Twin Cam.This original, road-specification Twin Cam dates from early 1968 and, unusually, was purchased new for road useIt's classically finished in Ermine White with a black interiorRestored in the 1980s by a previous owner, retaining its original AVO Type-49 bodyshell and utilising as many of the original parts as possibleThe quality of the restoration can be judged by the car's subsequent success in RS Owners' Club Concours events With our late vendor for the past seven years in his private collectionAccompanied by some old MOT Certificates, a current one valid until August 2022, a DVLA print-out of previous owners, a period workshop manual and an Owners' HandbookIt's not often that a Mk 1 Twin-Cam of this quality becomes available, a rare chance to own a piece of Ford competition-inspired history. The arrival of the Escort Twin Cam at the start of 1968 marked the second phase of Ford UK's production-car based competitions programme that had commenced with the Lotus Cortina. The latter had used the Ford-based 1.6-litre Lotus Twin Cam engine to good effect, and combining this unit with the smaller and lighter Escort bodyshell would prove to be an inspired move. Reputedly, Ford's Competitions Manager, Henry Taylor, had seen a prototype Escort being tested and recognised its potential.A feasibility study commenced at the Competitions Department's Boreham factory in March 1967, which proved that although the list of modifications required to install the bulky Twin Cam engine and 2000E gearbox was a lengthy one, the transplant was possible. The project duly got the 'green light' and a dedicated Twin Cam production line was set up at Ford's Halewood plant on Merseyside where the cars were assembled by a hand-picked team using the stronger, export-specification Escort two-door bodyshell. Production proper got underway in the spring of 1968 after the first 25 Twin Cams had been assembled at Boreham. Group 3 homologation (500 units built) was achieved in March '68 and apparently, Group 2 (1,000 units) in May, although there may have been some 'artistic licence' with this as it's now clear that Twin Cam production totalled 883 units.Competition success had been the Twin Cam's 'raison d'etre' and Ford's new baby was soon delivering the goods. A pair of the Boreham-built Twin Cams dominated the televised Croft rallycross meeting in February 1968, demonstrating its potential to an audience of millions, while the car's first major international success was achieved during March when Ove Andersson and John Davenport finished 3rd in the San Remo Rally. The Twin Cam's first outright win was achieved by Roger Clark in the Circuit of Ireland Rally at Easter. Despite a short works career that ended in 1971, the Escort Twin Cam won the World Rally 'Championship for Makes' twice, in 1968 and '69, and helped the Alan Mann Racing-entered Frank Gardner take the British Touring Car Championship in '68. This original, road-specification Twin Cam is an early 1968 example finished in Ermine White (nearly all Twin Cams were) with a black interior and, unusually, it was purchased new for road use. It was restored in the 1980s by a previous owner, retaining its original AVO Type-49 bodyshell and utilising as many of the original parts as possible, and has covered very few miles since.  The quality of the restoration can be judged by the fact that XGW 3G placed 2nd in the 2001 RS Owners' Club Concours event at Lightwater Valley in Yorkshire and is well known to the AVO Owners Club. The coachwork, paintwork, engine, gearbox and interior are reported to all be in "very good" condition. We have driven the car and can confirm that it drives superbly with no obvious faults and the 1600 twin cam still delivers plenty of power accompanied by that distinctive engine note that so characterises the 'Twink'.The car has been cossetted in our much respected late vendor's private collection for the last seven years and is supplied with a number of old MOT Certificates, a current one valid until August '22, a DVLA print-out of previous owners, a period workshop manual and a reproduction Owners' Handbook. It's ready to go and presents really well in the metal. It's not often that a Mk 1 Twin-Cam of this quality, properly restored and with good provenance, comes onto the open market and, with prices continuing to climb, this is a rare chance to own a piece of Ford competition-inspired history.  SpecificationMake: FORDModel: ESCORT MK1 TWIN CAMYear: 1968Chassis Number: BB49HY23851Registration Number: XGW 3GTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 7200 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

From long-term ownership with only 15,103 miles, the rare and desirable RS500.E389 ERC was first registered on 8th September 1987 and retains its original and unmodified engine and gearboxProfessionally stored by our vendor since his ownership began back in 2006 and seldom usedThe history file confirms the indicated mileage of 15,103 as genuineThe car is accompanied by its service pack, spare keys and an MOT valid until 1/10/2022This lovely Cosworth is in the sort of condition that only comes with low mileage and ownership, and your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to acquaint yourself with this very special RS500The original Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was the first Ford to wear the Cosworth badge and was presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1985. It was introduced as a means of homologating the Sierra for 'Group A' Touring Car racing, with a requirement that 5,000 cars were built and sold. Launched for sale in July 1986, and based on the three-door Sierra body-shell, it was designed by Ford's Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) and was powered by a Cosworth-designed 2.0-litre turbo engine of now-legendary repute. At this time, the Sierra Cosworth was a new kind of performance car - a 'blue-collar hero' able to humble true sports cars! In total 5,545 cars were produced - of which 500 were sent to Aston Martin Tickford for conversion to the Sierra 'RS500 Cosworth'. If the RS Cosworth was a homologation car, the RS500 was an evolution special. Once Ford had built the requisite 5,000 RS Cosworths, 'Group A' rules allowed an upgraded 'evolution' model to be launched. This could carry changes focused on improving its racing potential, provided Ford sold 10% of the original number as road cars, hence the 500. The RS500 was announced in July 1987 and had a mechanically uprated Cosworth engine (more similar to the one to be used in competition), with power boosted to 224bhp, upgraded brakes, modified bodywork and the cachet of being hand-assembled - the RS500 really is the ultimate 1980s Fast Ford!E389 ERC was first registered on 8th September 1987 and retains its original and unmodified engine and gearbox. It remains finished in the original black factory paint and has been professionally stored by our late and much respected vendor since his ownership began back in 2006 and seldom used. The history file confirms the indicated mileage of 15,103 as genuine, with several lengthy periods of the car being off the road, but regularly maintained. The tyres, which look to be original, are starting to crack and perish slightly so a new set will be required if our lucky purchaser intends to use the car, perhaps keeping the originals as part of its provenance. The car is accompanied by its Service Pack, spare keys and an MOT valid until 1-10-2022.This is an extremely rare and highly revered model that epitomises the era, enjoys a dedicated following and has a formidable motorsport legacy - all being vital factors which won't diminish over time and, realistically, it’s value is only going one way. One of One. An Evo VII RS developed by Xtreme to an unprecedented level. Incredible spec and incredibly special. The Evo VII SC was based on an Evo VII RS and suitable for road use as well as competitionDemonstrated extensively, used as a press car and the cover car for the Xtreme websiteBy 2005 at 2,834 miles it was sold from their showroom in 2005 to a private buyer who spent a further £30,000 on the carFull Service history and details of the massive build-spec on our websiteThis is a unique motor car and part of the history of the Evo, Ralliart, Xtreme DudleyIn the days before Mitsubishi officially imported their Lancer Evolution models (Evos), Ralliart UK (often known as Extreme Dudley) were the original importers of Evos into the UK. During this period, they built a number of ‘specials’ including the Evo VI Extreme, RS Sprint and 450, VII Extreme S and RS Sprint and, although sold in small numbers, most importantly they were official UK cars. Ralliart Extreme were power players in Evo history, and were the company to go to for enthusiasts, due to their 3-year warranty and top of their game sales team and technicians. Based on this success, they decided to build a further car to be used as a demonstrator before ultimately being sold. Entitled the Evo VII SC, it was to be based on an Evo VII RS and be suitable for road use as well as competition. Toney Cox, the workshop manager responsible for car build and testing for the Ralliart world rally team (WRC), was entrusted with the build and the car was finished in 2003.The SC was demonstrated extensively, used as a press car, was the cover car for the Xtreme website and featured in all the company's advertising. A period advert from 2004 read "Based on the lightweight close-ratio gearbox Evolution VII RS model fitted with ACD, LSD Rear and Helical Front Diffs, our Xtreme SC is the most powerful car we have built to date, yet engineered to provide the customer with an opportunity to further tune and modify to take the power from 458bhp to over 500bhp if required! As with all of our tuning packages, torque has been a major focus too, the Xtreme SC is therefore pushing out a back thumping 410ft/lbs to ensure astonishing pull throughout the rev range. 4 cylinder, turbocharged 2.2-litres, 458bhp @ 5,800rpm, 410ft/lbs @ 3,500rpm, 0-60 in 3.5secs."In the event, only one SC was ever built, the car we are pleased to offer today. Our vendor purchased JXA at this point with an indicated mileage of c7,500 and immediately gave it a major service with all belts and fluids and a thorough check over. After some consideration, he decided to return it to its exact 2003 build-spec and commissioned Chris at C1-R, one of the original mechanics who built the car from new. Rare and sought-after V-spec example, with low mileage, service history and the recipient of much expense.Rare and sought-after V-spec example, a higher performance version, featuring uprated suspension, and a 'Pro' version of the ATTESA 4WD that included an active LSD, which at the time made it arguably the most technologically advanced production car in the world; mighty RB26 twin-turbo 2.6-litre inline six-cylinder powerplantImported by a specialist UK-based Japanese sportscar company 7 years ago and bought by our vendor, a discerning and enthusiastic car collectorFull Japanese service history and book-pack, just 82,000km (50,000 miles), and in completely standard conditionExterior all repainted to the highest standard, decals professionally reapplied, adjustable suspension all renewed, and the bespoke leather interior was fully retrimmedRust-free and over £10,000 spent since importationPerhaps underrated but quietly influential compared to its forbears, the R33 incarnation of the GT-R is still a pure sports car experience, but now aided by some of the most revolutionary handling technology to influence modern performance driving. The new R33 Skyline GT-R was launched in January 1995 with a base GT-R and the V-spec model. The V-spec model had a sportier suspension set-up resulting in lower ground clearance, and also featured the newer ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel drive system, which included an Active Limited-Slip Differential. At the heart of the V-spec version was the ATTESA-ETS Pro Electronic Torque Split System, which at the time made it arguably the most technologically advanced production car in the world. The system was conceived in the 1990s for the JTCC to put some 600bhp through the wheels and to the racetrack efficiently. ETS Pro satisfied the purist by giving all the advantages of rear wheel drive until the conditions dictated otherwise. Also, on the V-spec version, was an active LSD on the rear axle which further aided traction by calculating the optimum torque-split between the left and right rear wheels, variable from fully locked to totally free.Working along with ATTESA-ETS PRO, is the SUPER HICAS rear-wheel steering wheel. This uses a series of sensors to monitor vehicle motion, rate of turn and the driver's action on the steering wheel. Complex software then compares this information to the computer predictions of the car's ideal turning characteristics, adjusting the angle of the rear wheels to reflect the driver's intentions. The result of this type of technology? Neutral steering and unrivalled cornering capabilities. The engine in the R33 was nearly identical to the previous R32. It used the same turbochargers and the same specification for the manual gearbox, although the synchros were made to be stronger. The engine corrected the R32's weak oil pump drive collar, which tended to fail in higher power applications, with a wider collar. With the realisation that the increased body rigidity increases handling potential, several specially designed cross members are integrated into the monocoque body design. In addition, extra torsion bars were added to the multi-link suspension to further enhance stability. Working closely with Bridgestone technicians to perfect the Potenza tyres, Nissan put the prototype R33 GT-R through its paces in all weathers at the notorious Nürburgring, earning them a daring reputation amongst other manufacturers.Tested in the wind tunnel and capable of around 175 mph, the Skyline GT-R's adjustable rear spoiler lets you find the best compromise between wind resistance and grip. To equalise the weight distribution, the bonnet and front wings were made of aluminium instead of steel and the battery was removed from the engine bay and placed in the rear of the GT-R. This altered the car's centre of gravity and improved its corning characteristics.Inside the Skyline GT-R, form followed function. Mono-form bucket seats with integrated headrests that are lightweight yet immensely tough provided the ideal driving position and supported the body against the G-forces endured under hard acceleration and cornering. The braking system was made by Italy's famous Brembo Spa, suppliers to many of the world's Formula 1 teams at this time. Four-piston calipers were fitted on the front with two-piston calipers on the rear to bite into the discs with a diamond shaped ventilation bores which increased the surface area to aid heat dissipation. The GT-R's braking system utilises the same wheel rotation sensors used to control the ATTESA-ETS PRO, to activate the high-performance ABS, ensuring that the huge Brembo calipers always deliver optimum performance. The car presented here is a 1995 Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R V-spec, imported by a specialist UK-based Japanese sportscar company some 7 years ago and bought by our vendor, who is a discerning and enthusiastic car collector.Reassuringly, the car is accompanied by a full Japanese service history and book-pack, has covered just 82,000km (50,000 miles), and is in completely standard specification. Furthermore, there is no rust or bodywork damage, encouraging our vendor to invest in having the exterior fully repainted to the highest standard, with the decals professionally reapplied. He also ensured that the adjustable suspension was all renewed, and commissioned a bespoke leather interior, in all, costing over £10,000. The end result is a striking and fit-for-purpose R33. With prices on the march for the best quality and most original Japanese sports cars, this R33 has a lot going for it and is not to be missed. A special opportunity to acquire this remarkable one-off designed by Ant Anstead and his team at Dowsetts Classic Cars.Dowsetts Classic Car Company is the new trading name of the company formerly known as Evanta whose superbly built creations we have been privileged to offer in the pastThe Comet is built around a steel spaceframe chassis which is clothed in GRP reinforced with Kevlar to create a shell that is strong yet lightIts unique looks echo the classic lines of sports racers from the fifties and early sixties without becoming a pastiche of any one modelThey are entirely bespoke enabling potential owners to create exactly what they wantComet 02, on offer from its first owner, is powered by a General Motors LS3 V8, coupled to a Tremec 5-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differentialIt's finished in Porsche Crayon Grey, not an obvious choice for an evocative 6-litre fifties-style sports car but in execution, truly successfulIt sits on a set of alloy wheels that, like everything else about this remarkable car, are Dowsetts-designed and unique in the proper sense of the wordClad in red quilted leather, the car's interior reflects this same design philosophy and every nook and cranny appears to have been thought about and created to be special, and it is. Full harnesses, white-faced dials, a Moto-Lita wheel, turned aluminium stubby short-throw gear lever, satin-finished stainless details and embossed leather. Really impressiveWhilst Ant was naturally focussed on developing the car's dynamics, handling and road-holding etc., our vendor planned on using the car regularly so spec'd it with air-conditioning, Sat-Nav, a radio and a reversing-camera Having covered only 2,500 miles, a recent back injury means that our vendor sadly must now part with '02It's very sensibly guided and is now available at around half its build costHere at Silverstone Auctions we are pleased to have been able to help Ant Anstead and his passionate team at Evanta bring some of their fabulous fifties and sixties Aston Martin re-creations to the market. Evanta has recently morphed into the Dowsetts Classic Car Company and now stands proudly on its own design ethos building unique sports and GT cars, whilst still capturing the essence of the 1950s and ‘60s.Their current project is the Comet which, like other Dowsett models, is built around a bespoke steel spaceframe chassis. This is then clothed in GRP reinforced with Kevlar to create a shell which is strong yet light and, importantly, is suitable for limited production runs where tooling might otherwise be prohibitive. That said, it’s not a simple process, taking over 50 different mould tools to make the panels for a single Comet. The car’s shape is unique, in the proper sense of the word, but most viewers familiar with classic cars will identify references and styling cues that could well have come from legendary sports cars of the period, however, that was not intentional. Dowsetts’ Darren Collins comments “There are bound to be certain similarities. If you’re taking inspiration from a particular era, there are only so many ways in which it can be done. We’ve created something new, but there are clear nods to the era it evokes.” The second production car, Comet 02, on offer here from its first owner, is powered by a General Motors LS3 V8, coupled to a Tremec 5-speed gearbox and a limited-slip differential. It's finished in Porsche Crayon Grey, not an obvious choice for an evocative 6-litre fifties-style sports car but in execution, truly successful and it sits on a set of alloy wheels that, like everything else about this remarkable car, are Dowsetts-designed. Clad in red quilted leather, the car's interior reflects this same design philosophy and every nook and cranny appears to have been thought about and created to be special, and it is. Full harnesses, white-faced dials, a Moto-Lita wheel, turned aluminium stubby short-throw gear lever, satin-finished stainless details and embossed leather. These cars are totally bespoke and whilst one owner may prefer a hard-edged Mille Miglia-style sports racer with no creature comforts, the buyer of ‘02’ planned on using the car regularly so spec'd it with air-conditioning, Sat-Nav, a radio and a reversing-camera. He was only able to enjoy some 2,500 miles in 02 before a recent back injury makes driving it really difficult. He has asked us to include a few words.“As I explained I got involved with Ant Anstead over four years ago and on visiting his workshop spotted the Barchetta (open top early version of the Comet) and fell in love with it. Ant had by then started work on the Comet and I agreed to buy number two – the first having already been purchased off plan by another client and is now in America with Ant who is trying to fit an electric motor in it so mine is still the only road going Comet in the world! The car is basically the dream car of Ant, mixing an Aston Martin front with a Ferrari back and some Lotus in the middle. Constructed much like the original AC Cobras squeezing a huge 6.2-litre Chevy engine into a bespoke, hand-built lightweight body. I spent many happy hours up at the workshop watching the car come together and worked with Ant and his team to specify some of the “luxury” additions not previously planned for the car (air conditioning, radio, sat.nav. and reverse camera) Ant looking to focus more on the performance and the track cred aspects of the car which I am pleased to say he achieved and then some! I have some personal photos of the build process for anyone interested and Dowsetts can provide more.I took delivery of the car after it had finished full road testing back in December 2018 but shortly after I injured my back requiring surgery. My back is now okay but I find the Comet too low and with a fixed seat I just cannot get comfortable and so have come to the difficult and sad decision to sell the car and let someone else enjoy it.”The Comet will be available for viewing prior to our NEC sale and we strongly urge interested parties to come and have a close look at this remarkable motor car.Click here for more details and images

Globe trotting, matching-numbers, single-headlight 330 GT 2+2 in fantastic shape with Classiche Certification. This left-hand drive, Series II has seen much of the worldPreviously restored in the United States of AmericaMultiple Concours award winner in the pastSignificant expenditure in recent years totalling over £20,000Ferrari Classiche CertificationThe cherished registration '33 OF' is included in the saleNB: Rear end crash damage in 2004. Professionally repaired and awarded a 'Classiche' at a later date. Any inspection welcomeThe Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 made its debut at the Brussels Salon in January 1964, proceeding its earlier 250 2+2 GTE and 330 America cousins. The Series I, as it later became known, was much more than a re-engined 250, it was a bolder, more distinctive incarnation in both looks and performance.Pininfarina was once again entrusted with the styling, and their vision of Ferrari's evolution drew muse from the cars' predecessors yet included some daring design elements. A sharper nose and tail, a wide grille, and the espousal of a characteristic quad headlight arrangement, all of which reflected the tastes of Ferrari's most important export market, the USA.Although some criticised its styling, the Series I four-headlight 330 GT has become truly evocative of 1960s fashion, lauded both for its individuality and Pininfarina's purity of design. The fantastic Gioacchino Colombo designed, high-output, V-12 engine was fitted to all 300 GT series and produced an impressive 300bhp, adorned with triple Weber carburettors, this combination taking the vehicle from 0-100km in an astounding 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest road-going Ferrari at the time.Series II cars from 1966 onwards reverted to a more conventional twin-headlight arrangement ditching the slightly awkward quad-headlights and aesthetically looked much better for it.This particular Series II has lived somewhat of a globe-trotting life throughout its history. Initially delivered to Italy, the car later made its way to the United States of America during the late 1970s, with records of it being for sale in Virginia, US during 1979.Subsequently, it travelled from state-to-state and underwent a full bare-metal repaint in Metallic Bronze (Nocciola Metallizzato) prior to winning numerous awards at prestigious Concours events in Pennsylvania, including ‘Ferrari of Execptional Merit’ at the 1988 Ferrari Festival, First in Class at a combined marques Concours, and several top-three finishes at various other events. Following this star-studded life in PA, the car then ended up in Mexico, before coming to Germany via Florida - where it was again restored with a colour change to Nero - and then going back across the world to Arizona, then down to Chile before being imported into and sold in the UK during 2015 to our vendor and current owner. In 2004, it was 'rear-ended' in the USA but was professionally repaired and subsequently inspected.A fantastic matching-numbers example, this 330 GT 2+2 has been significantly overhauled by marque specialist GTO Engineering, with the vendor commissioning a general mechanical ‘tidy up’ along with the fitment of a reconditioned steering box, new track rod ends, new clutch slave and master cylinders, a new exhaust and various other sundry items, with a total cost of £22,500.Along with the aforementioned work taking place at GTO, the car was also inspected and awarded Ferrari Classiche Certification at the same time.In recent years, the gearbox has been rebuilt by marque specialist QV London serving known weakness to synchromesh in 2020. The fuse box has been reconditioned following a non-charging issue, and the battery has been upgraded to a new deep-cycle AGM item, furthermore the radiator has been given a new core in 2017 and the interior has also been significantly overhauled and restored, with the leather seats and door cards being re-trimmed during 2016 by specialist Trimania.Offered with the fitting cherished registration of ’33 OF’ and with full Ferrari Classiche Certification, this 1966 left-hand-drive 330 GT 2+2 is in stunning condition throughout, and remains the envy of many drivers and enthusiasts to this day, just as it would have been in period.SpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: 330 GT 2+2Year: 1966Chassis Number: 9315Registration Number: 33OFTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 9315Drive Side: Left-hand DriveMake: LHDInterior Colour: TanClick here for more details and images

UK-supplied in a fabulous colour combination and offered with a full Ferrari main dealer service history. The 612 Scaglietti is a 5.7-litre V12, 540bhp 2+2 Grand Coupe manufactured between 2004 and 2010, and cost some £182,952 in basic specification when newSupplied new by Carrs Ferrari of Exeter on 16th July 2006 in Tour De France Blue with a tan leather interior and dark blue carpetingOptions included split-rim modular alloy wheels, giallo (yellow) brake calipers, Scuderia wing badges and dark blue leather piping to the four seatsJust two Ferrari main dealers have serviced the car from new, Carrs and Graypaul, and the service book shows nine stampsRecently serviced by Graypaul of Nottingham on the 7th September 2021 at 27,807 miles, the “clutch life” was reported as 97%Offered to auction from a small Ferrari collection with leatherbound folder containing manuals and service book, invoices, brand new battery and an MOT valid until 12th August 2022The 612 Scaglietti is unique among its contemporaries and residual values reflect the car’s modern looks, luxurious interior and blistering performance in comparison. As a mark of respect for their decades-long working relationship, Ferrari named the 612 after the legendary Sergio Scaglietti, whose famous design house 'Carrozzeria Scaglietti' was responsible for the look of some of the most stunning coachbuilt Ferraris in the fifties and sixties. The design of the 612 is said to have been inspired by the 1954 Rossellini-Bergman custom 375MM, which was commissioned by film director Roberto Rossellini for his lovely wife, the actress Ingrid Bergman. The model features deep side scallops and large headlights together with a long, sleek silhouette and the result is an imposing, unusual looking car, projecting dynamism and power. This sporty front-engined, rear-wheel drive Berlinetta is a paradox Ferrari, being an energetic car to drive, yet also having four full seats for passengers, making it suitable for longer journeys and city use too. A genuine departure from previous GT models, the 612 Scaglietti's transaxle transmission sees the rear-mounted, six-speed, F1 gearbox working with the limited-slip differential in a shared function and this, combined with the first-ever all-aluminium body on a 12-cylinder Ferrari, makes for fantastic dynamics as well as improved comfort and safety. Supplied new by Carrs of Exeter on the 16th July 2006 in Tour de France Blue with tan leather, arguably the best colour combination for the model, the optional extras include split-rim modular alloy wheels, giallo (yellow) brake calipers, Scuderia wing badges and dark blue leather piping to the four seats. Our vendor added this delightful car to his small Ferrari collection in 2018, covering some 500 miles during his ownership to date. The car has been serviced by just two Ferrari main dealers at the following intervals: Carrs Ferrari, Exeter 14/05/2007 at 3,215 milesCarrs Ferrari, Exeter 16/08/2010 at 7,976 milesCarrs Ferrari, Exeter 23/03/2011 at 8,248 milesCarrs Ferrari, Exeter 19/03/2012 at 12,541 milesGraypaul Ferrari, Birmingham 27/12/2012 at 15,368 milesGraypaul Ferrari, Nottingham 13/11/2014 at 24,380 milesGraypaul Ferrari, Nottingham 10/01/2017 at 26,742 milesGraypaul Ferrari, Nottingham 27/06/2018 at 26,829 milesGraypaul Ferrari, Nottingham 07/09/2021 at 27,807 miles When last serviced in September this year, the car received a new battery and our vendor was informed that the “clutch life” was at a very healthy 97%. The MOT is valid until August 2022, the history file includes historical invoices and the leather-bound folder contains the service book and handbooks. Very few of the 612 Scaglietti’s mass-produced contemporaneous rivals have faired as well in the current market as this model. The 612’s classically modern styling, unmistakably Italian interior and smooth yet ferocious performance from the V12 engine and the silky six-speed automatic F1-style gearbox is without compare. Stunning, UK-supplied, right-hand drive F430 with just under 18,000 miles and that, oh-so-special, manual gearbox. The 430 was at least 70% new compared with the 360, with a more rigid aluminium structure, new engine, new differential and a brand-new chassisThe torque-rich, 483bhp, 4.3-litre V8 power unit offers 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 196mphOnly 128 F430s (Coupe & Spider) were delivered to the UK in RHD with a manual gearboxThis fabulous, UK-delivered Spider is fitted with the rare and desirable manual boxSuperbly finished in the classic combination of Rosso Red paintwork with Crema leatherExcellent service history with just a handful of owners, and only 17,907 miles covered from newAccompanied by its complete book-pack in the leather-bound pouch, including a stamped-up service booklet and receipts for servicing/maintenance.Manufactured from 2004 until 2009, the Ferrari F430 was the successor to the very successful 360M and, according to its creators, was at least 70% new compared with the previous model, itself a ground-breaker. Its aluminium structure was more rigid than the 360's, it had a new engine, a new F1 gearbox, a new differential, and a brand-new chassis, and although the styling is obviously reminiscent of the 360M's, in reality, it's pretty much a ground-up design. Largely the work of Pininfarina, although overseen by Ferrari's design chief Frank Stephenson, the F430 still looks fresh today, more crisp-edged than the 360, with a strong hint of Enzo around the surface-erupting taillights. Its all-new 4.3-litre V8 engine, with four valves per cylinder instead of the 360's five, and chain camshaft drive instead of belts, with a consequent great reduction in service costs, has a variable-valve-timing system lifted straight from the Enzo's V12, dry-sump lubrication, a very high compression ratio (11.3:1), a variable airflow plenum chamber, and an enormous electronic brain making the decisions in the form of not one, but two, Bosch Motronic ME7 ECUs. At 483bhp, it boasts 21% more power than the 360, exceeding even that of the mighty (and turbocharged) F40, whilst the torque spread is extraordinary for an engine keen to howl beyond 8500rpm. All these factors contribute to a 0-62mph time of just 3.7 seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 196mph.The advancements continued with the 'Manettino', the steering wheel-mounted selector for stability systems, damping, shift speed, and throttle response. And there's the E-diff, whose calibrations this alters, a clever, clutch-controlled active differential that sorts out waywardness, not by inhibiting one rear wheel, but by pouring more torque into the other. Ferrari reckons it's worth 3.0 seconds a lap at the Fiorano test track, and it certainly helps make the F430 a far more forgiving machine than the 360, and a car of supremely subtle and keen responses. The open Spider version featured an electrically operated retractable roof, capable of folding away beneath the rear deck in only 20 seconds, whilst the fully leather trimmed interior - a visual feast - could be ordered with either aluminium or carbon fibre embellishment to customer choice. The car presented here is a UK-delivered, RHD 2004 F430 Spider, with the open-gate manual gearshift and was sold new via Carrs Ferrari of Exeter on the 30th September 2005. In the classic combination of Rosso Red with Crema leather, this exceptional car has covered just 17,907 miles from new. Kept and serviced with the utmost of care, this is one of the best examples of its type available currently. It is accompanied by its complete book-pack in the leather-bound pouch, including a stamped-up service booklet and receipts for servicing/maintenance.Servicing history:18th July 2008 – 5,742 miles – major service at Graypaul Ferrari of Nottingham3rd June 2011 – 11,690 miles – annual service plus four ball joints at Ferrari specialists Keys Motorsport Ltd. of Silverstone13th March 2012 – 12,348 miles – major service at Meridien Modena of Hampshire12th June 2014 – 15,375 miles – annual service at Meridien Modena of Hampshire19th August 2015 – 15,528 miles – annual service at Meridien Modena of Hampshire18th November 2016 – 16,899 miles - major service at Ferrari specialists Keys Motorsport Ltd. of Silverstone11th May 2018 – 17,245 miles – annual service plus manifold change and bushes at Italian supercar specialists GVE of LondonThe F430 manual has been much hailed as a potential future classic, occupying a unique space where old world Ferrari V8s meets the new. A nicely restored Series 3 Coupe upgraded with Fuel Injection and a Getrag 5-speed gearbox.Built on 16/12/1970 and delivered to San Mateo, California 31/01/1971Returned to the UK in 2009 and was first registered here on 21/10/2009Subject to a body-off restoration, right-hand drive conversion and mechanical rebuild by a marque specialist prior to our vendor's purchase around seven years ago. The specialist provided a complete photographic record of the workRefinished in its original British Racing Green with a black interior, however, since his purchase the interior has been completely retrimmed in light tan to a very high standard and looks fabulousMajor upgrades include Fuel Injection (replacing the carburettors), a Getrag 5-speed gearbox and a stainless-steel exhaustCurrent indicated mileage is 52,830. Good history from the last 20 years but little priorA decade after the original Jaguar E-type arrived, the design progressively matured through 1971 with the introduction of the Series 3. Designed to showcase the new smooth and torquey 5.3-litre engine, originally developed for Le Mans, the Series 3 cars were available as a 'Roadster' (convertible) or a '2+2' Coupe. The Series 3 is easily identifiable by its large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, a larger bonnet bulge, updated bumpers, four exhaust tips, and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. It also featured uprated brakes, power steering as standard and a large horizontal scoop added to the underside of the bonnet to assist with cooling. The interior was entirely new in the V12, with more comfortable seating, stylish new door panels and a smaller, dished and leather-rimmed steering wheel. Being slightly larger and altogether much softer in nature, the E-type in Series 3 form had lost the wildness of its youth but gained the long-legged touring profile, to which it was arguably better suited. This lovely Series 3 Coupé began life on the 16th December in left-hand drive and was shipped to Burlingame British Cars Inc.,65 California Drive, Burlingame, CA 94010 and onwards to its first owner, Howard Engelsher of 22 N. San Mateo Drive, San Mateo, CA 94401. The car returned from the US in 2009 and was registered as DDG 962J on 21/10/2009.Shortly afterwards it was subject to a body-off restoration, right-hand drive conversion and mechanical rebuild by a marque specialist who provided a complete photographic record of the work. The Jaguar was refinished in its original BRG and, at that point, had a Black interior. We understand that its original engine had been replaced by another of the correct type. It has been converted to fuel injection replacing the problematic Strombergs and the gearbox has been changed to a Getrag 5-speed unit, a common upgrade offering greater flexibility and economy. Our vendor purchased the car around seven years ago and commissioned a full interior retrim in Light Tan leather and the result is very impressive. The headlining was replaced at the same time. The combination of dark green paintwork, immaculate tan interior and gleaming chrome wire wheels really suits the Coupe's distinctive profile. The current indicated mileage is 52,830 but, naturally, this is not warranted as, although our vendor has lots of recent history, there is very little from its days in the US. However, that's fairly academic as the E-type has been fully rebuilt, retrimmed and regularly serviced and maintained. With the benefit of fuel injection and the 5-speed gearbox, this sporting +2 is both useful and eminently usable and appears very sensibly guided.SpecificationMake: JAGUARModel: E-TYPE SERIES 3 V12 2+2 FIXED HEAD COUPEYear: 1970Chassis Number: 1S70415Registration Number: DDG 962JTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 8S84212SB Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 52830 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Tan leatherClick here for more details and images

An original ex-Metropolitan Police Daimler Dart, a rare survivor and restored to a Concours standard.550 CLU is one of only 26 Daimler Darts supplied to the Metropolitan PoliceIt’s had a full nut and bolt restoration to Concours standards and is a multi-award winnerFull photographic details of the restoration are contained in the history fileThe die cast 1/43rd scale model made by Oxford is of this actual car and number plateSupplied with the car is an original Owners' Handbook, Supplement of Accessories, period photographs of the car in service, newspaper clips, V5C and old MOTs and tax discs etcThis Daimler is a must for any collector/investor and needs to be viewed to fully appreciate the finish and detail that has gone into its fastidious restoration. An unusual departure for a firm more noted for its stately limousines, the SP250 sports car was Daimler's final fling before its acquisition by Jaguar. Aimed at the North American market and launched in 1959, the SP250 (originally entitled Dart) employed a separate ladder-type chassis on which sat controversially-styled fibreglass coachwork manufactured by Daimler themselves. Four-wheel disc brakes were an unusual feature at the time but unquestionably the car's biggest virtue was its magnificent 2.5-litre V8 engine. An outstandingly flexible unit, the smaller of Daimler's two Edward Turner designed V8s produced 140bhp, an output good enough to propel the SP250 to a top speed of 125mph. In keeping with the demands of its intended market, automatic transmission was available as an option. In the late 1950s, the Metropolitan Police had a major problem with, what were called, 'café racers'. Groups of youths on motorbikes would gather together at a local café, put a record on the jukebox and then race their bikes along a set course getting back to the café before the record had stopped playing. Accidents occurred and in an attempt to put a stop to the practice, the Met’s proposal was to have a fast car that could actually catch the bikers. The existing fleet of Wolseley saloons was not up to the task so they looked instead at sports cars. The Daimler SP250 Dart was the answer! This had a 2.5-litre lightweight V8 engine and was capable of 125 mph and 0-60 in 10 seconds, which for 1959 was remarkable. The Met bought 26 Darts between 1961 and 1964 and soon got them into service to be used as high-speed pursuit cars based at separate Traffic Garages situated over the London area. The results were impressive with many speeding bikers being caught and the number of fatal road accidents dropped. Unlike today, the idea then was that you see a Police car and thereby slow down...no stealth tactics for these boys.Borg-Warner Model 8 3-speed automatic cars destined for Police use were modified by Daimler with the fitting of a handle in the centre of the dashboard which, when pulled, locks the gearbox into second gear allowing a speed range from zero to 85 mph in a single gear. The gearbox normally runs in two gears only, with a ‘low’ ratio for manual selection if required and the slightly higher gearing resulted in an increased top speed compared to manual gearbox cars. The Metropolitan Police found this to be better for town work and high speed chases, and it was also found to be more economical, avoiding the clutch wear that a manual car would develop with usage between 18 and 24 hours a day.Traffic police in Bristol, Cambridge, Liverpool, Manchester, Southend and Surrey also used the SP250 for speed enforcement, as did police forces in Australia and New Zealand. After the opening of the first section of the M1 in 1959, the Bedfordshire police used the SP250 for motorway patrol prior to the arrival of the 70mph limit in 1965.The sparkling example on offer here, 550 CLU, was registered with the Metropolitan Police on 1st June 1961 as Fleet Number 240T. It bears Engine No.96223, Chassis No.102820 and was fitted with the optional Borg-Warner DG. Automatic gearbox, an AT Head Calibrated Speedometer and Pye Radio equipmentThe Met disposed of 550 CLU on 30th August 1967, having been driven 97,325 miles in less than five years and it was sold on to a Mr Killamsy of 2 Winter Street, London SW11. (Copy record in file). It was subsequently purchased by Claude Kearley, President of the Daimler SP250 Owners Club (2007-2009) who commenced a photo-documented restoration including engine, gearbox and drive train to Concours standards. It became our vendor’s property in 2016 and has been much enjoyed ever since, taking part in all sorts of events and is a multi-award winner including 2nd place in the 2017 East Coast Run and 1st Place, Sledmere 2017. It’s been an NEC exhibit three years running and was to be an entrant in Zoute Concours d ’Elegance prior to the COVID lockdown. When ‘Oxford Diecast’ chose to model a Police SP250 for their 1/43 scale range, 550 CLU was the chosen car.Supplied with the car are its V5C and previous ownership docs, a copy of the Met Historic Fleet Disposal Records, period copy photographs of actual use when in service, press cuttings, photos of surviving drivers (at 2013), MOTs, Owners’ Manual, Accessories Manual and more. This Daimler is a must for any collector/investor and needs to be viewed to fully appreciate the finish and detail that has gone into its fastidious restoration.Obviously this immaculate Dart can be enjoyed in much the same way that we all enjoy our classic cars but, in addition, it’s regularly in demand for meets and shows and would be welcome at events run by the Daimler and Lanchester Owners Club, the Daimler Dart Owners Club, the Police Vehicle Club and naturally local County Shows and Village Fetes. A left-hand drive, German-market, 996 GT3 with only 74,105km from new.On offer from private ownership, an homage to the iconic livery of the German PolizeiIt's basically a standard 996 GT3 with the graphics and lights etc. fitted by its owner355bhp, 3.6-litre engine, communicative chassis, superb brakes, perfect control weighting, precise steeringThe famous Polizei cars were modelled by Corgi Toys and Scalextric74,105km from new. Graphics easily removable leaving a very attractive, low mileage GT3Intended primarily for competition, although still fully road legal, the Porsche 911 GT3 can trace its ancestry all the way back through a succession of high-performance models to the legendary 911 Carrera RS of 1973. The car takes its name from the FIA's GT3 category of production sports car racing and has been produced in a variety of versions since its introduction in 1999 when the GT3 badges were applied to the Type 996 iteration of the perennial 911.The 3.6-litre flat-six engine, though, departed from mainstream Type 996 practice by virtue of its water-cooled cylinders, leaving only the heads cooled by air. Called the 'Metzger' engine after its designer, Hans Metzger, this unit was closely related to that of the Porsche 962 'Sports Prototypes' and the 911 GT1 racer. In the GT3 it produced 355bhp, 59 horsepower more than in the standard 996, which was delivered to the wheels through a strengthened gearbox boasting interchangeable ratios. To make the GT3 fit for circuit use, the brakes, suspension, and wheels were uprated to cope with the substantial increase in performance, whilst aerodynamic downforce was enhanced by a larger front air dam and a distinctive rear spoiler. Weight reduction extended to the removal of the rear seats and most of the sound deadening, rear speakers, sunroof, and air conditioning, though the latter could be ordered as an option, as could a CD/radio. In its original Type 996 incarnation, as seen here, the 911 GT3 was produced up to 2006.Offered from private ownership is this homage to the iconic livery of the German Polizei. Police forces around Europe have famously used performance cars as a way of raising the profile and effectiveness of policing public roads and the Germans were no exception, in fact, their distinctive livery became a 'brand' with both Scalextric and Corgi producing models which sold throughout Europe. This particular, left-hand drive, 996 GT3 was purchased privately and graphics applied together with lights to emulate the famous police 911s. What began as just a bit of fun actually became a tool for a UK Police Force to promote young driver awareness courtesy of the owner at the time. This GT3 has travelled just 74,105km and, should drawing attention to yourself not be 'your thing', then the graphics and lights can easily be removed and the car returned to a very attractive, low mileage Porsche GT3.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911Year: 2000Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99ZY5691356Registration Number: V313 TAWEngine Number: 63Y01813Click here for more details and images

Recently completed, no-expense spared restoration and it shows. With the Mk 2, the rear suspension was re-engineered to use reversed lower wishbones and Rotoflex driveshaft couplings, revolutionising the Mk 1's somewhat wayward handling   Family owned from new being purchased from Otterspool Motors, Liverpool in November 1969 The first owner, Jack Coburn Witherop, was a landscape painter of some repute exhibiting at The National Gallery, The Royal Academy as well as further afield in America and South Africa Recent exhaustive restoration by Specialised Automotive Services (SAS) of Sabden in Lancashire whose portfolio covers Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Ferrari through to repainting current McLaren supercarsThe rebuild was carried out between 2008 and 2016 with final finishes and adjustments completed in 2018 and 2019. Rebuild costs amount to some £97,000 !!! There will be few, if any other GT6s anywhere in the world that have such provenance, pedigree and a rebuild of such quality. This stunning GT6 Mk 2, splendidly presented in Damson, was bought new by Jack Coburn Witherop on 27th Nov 1969 from Otterspool Motors, Liverpool, who were Standard Triumph Dealers at the time and, incredibly, remains within the same family to this very day. Jack Coburn Witherop was a landscape painter of some repute, exhibiting at the National Gallery and the Royal Academy, and the Triumph was his pride and joy being pressed into service on a regular basis and maintained regardless of cost until ill health curtailed his driving days. At that point, the car  was passed onto his brother, Arthur, in 1980, who in turn bequeathed it  to his grandson, the present owner, in January 1991. Due to financial constraints and pressures of work as a young oral surgeon, the car was stored until family time and resources were sufficient to justify a complete restoration.  Commencing in 2008 in the hands of Dave Warburton, Specialised Automotive Services (SAS)  Sabden, Lancashire, a prolonged no-expense-spared rebuild followed, ‘’If it was going to be done, it was to be done right’’ and indeed some eight years later there was light at the end of the tunnel with this breathtaking GT6 emerging as it stands today. Invoices provide an insight into circa £97,000 of expenditure and what must surely be one of the finest examples to exist today. Completed to the very highest of standards from the acid dipped chassis to the balanced engine with fast road cam, to stainless manifold and exhaust, rebuilt gearbox, uprated cooling system, poly-bushed suspension, high torque starter and alternator, the list goes on. For safety a bolt-in roll cage was added along side period style Corbeau seats, however, with the original seats remaining with the car, these additions can be very easily be reversed. It’s believed by our vendor that the car was retained by the factory for some development work but that hasn’t been established. Whatever its early history, the Tiger has more recent Manx Rally and Sprint history and lived on the Isle of Man for some time in the late 70s to late 80s registered as 644 SPB. We understand that it was fitted with an engine built by Steve Burns to ‘Sprint’ spec (Steve was Sunbeam Tiger Owners Club Competitions Secretary at the time). It was subsequently sold to Peter Marshall who returned it to EHP 171C during his ownership. The current chapter of this Tiger’s tale began in 2015 when it was purchased by our vendor since when it has been through a comprehensive, ground-up, ‘rotisserie’ restoration by Miles Classics Huddersfield, Alpha Auto Concepts, and John Sleath Racing Doncaster. The cars History File can be inspected at our ‘Documents Desk’ and within the file are restoration invoices to the value of over £88,000 alongside a splendid collection of images displaying exactly where it went. The engine was been fully rebuilt as a fast-road spec by JSR Doncaster and dyno tested at 282.9bhp. New fast-road clutch, headers, hp radiator and header tank, larger fan, MSG electronic ignition and Holley 600cfm carb/air filter – all new. 'Powered by Ford' painted rocker-covers, Kenlowe twin electric fans and silicone hosing throughout. It also has a shatter proof bell-housing fitted and Lockheed servo-assisted brakes. There is evidence of the car’s race history with a solid firewall in the boot rather than the curtain as standard and the original battery cut-off has been retained and re-located in the boot. The gearbox tunnel is also modified to receive the ‘top loader’ Hurst Super Sifter with reverse lock-out, again still fitted to the car.The Tiger’s interior is really special as can be gleaned from the relevant invoice; “Retrim Tiger interior in Saddle Tan Bentley leather, including seats, doors, dash and various panels. Make new stereo housing console and speaker footwell panels. Fit sound deadening and install new carpets and underlay throughout. Full boot interior retrim including panels, battery cover and wheel cover. Fit mohair hood to frame and fit fixing to car body. Trim hardtop headlining and make hood bag. Total invoice price: £9,900.”The same attention has been paid to the Sunbeam’s exterior and it now looks fabulous in a deep Cherry Black with a matching hardtop and sitting on a set of period Halibrands. The car is STOC registered and has been featured in the Tiger Times, Rallye Sport, and many Classic magazines. It’s accompanied by the original Green Logbook showing its ownership up to 1973, a full photographic history of the rebuild, receipts/bills etc, tons of history, workshop manuals, original copies, spare parts and more. Desirable 'Executive' 3.0-litre V6 Capri Mk 1 with just 69,980 miles.Historic restoration including new wings and a high quality respray in Evergreen MetallicEngine and auto box fully rebuilt within the last 200 miles with many ancillaries either refurbished or replacedSuspension rebuilt with poly-bushes. Fitted with a full custom stainless exhaust systemThis is one of the sharpest 3000 E’s without doubt on offer and has been truly well cared forSupplied with a small history file including some old MOTsLaunched in 1969 as 'The car you always promised yourself', the Capri was Ford Europe's response to the mighty sales success of the Mustang in America. The luxury version was launched in March 1970 as the 3000E and was the fastest car that Ford Britain had ever sold and, next to the 3000GT, it was the model that all Capri owners aspired to. Ford's marketing was in full swing with a motorsport program that was sweeping all aside on the race circuits of Europe. "'Win on Sunday, sell on Monday'' was paying dividends for Ford and this superbly equipped, for its time, 3.0-litre V6 version was hugely desirable. This rare, UK-supplied 3000E Automatic was fitted with the same Essex V6 engine as the GT and produced 138bhp. Finished in Evergreen Metallic, a rare colour in period with a Tan interior, this model sports the cloth centre inserts in the seats unique to the 3000E. Over more recent times, it's been treated to a pair of new front wings and a quality repaint in Evergreen. The engine and gearbox have both been fully overhauled recently and the car has covered less than 200 miles since. The suspension was also restored with Poly-bushes being fitted and the underside finished off with a full stainless steel exhaust. In a super colour with its black vinyl roof, polished Rostyle wheels, stainless exhaust and good chrome, this is a very attractive example of a rare and collectable 70s legend. SpecificationMake: FORDModel: CAPRI 3000EYear: 1971Chassis Number: BBECKA32752Registration Number: WKR 888JTransmission: Automatic Engine Number: BBECKA32752Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 69980 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: TanClick here for more details and images

An incredible opportunity to acquire one of Audi's Super Saloons with just 217 miles from new.Audi's ultimate A4, the RS4, is powered by 4.2-litre V8 engine generating 414bhp. With 60mph arriving in less than five seconds accompanied by a howling soundtrack from the FSI engine and its four exhaust pipes, driving one is an intoxicating experience This remarkable example has been owned and stored by its first owner and his father for most of its life and has covered a warranted 217 milesFinished in Mugello Blue, a striking deep mineral blue that varies in intensity with the lightClassic RS cockpit in black, immensely comfortable yet totally functionalThe only evidence of its long period of storage is some, almost imperceptible, pitting of some of the external chrome. Our vendor has replaced the front grille (original with the car) and has new badging yet to be fitted. Our advice was not to fit the badging as keeping the 217-mile car absolutely original is important but the parts are with the car should the new owner want to fit themInspected by Audi, it will come to the sale in almost the same condition as it was presented to its first keeper nearly 15 years agoWith many earlier eighties and nineties performance Audis now reaching stratospheric values, where do we see this car?Offered at No Reserve, this is an opportunity to acquire possibly the lowest mileage RS4 in the UK, if not worldwide. The B7 RS4 is an almost complete departure from previous Audi RS models as it was initially available as a four-door saloon with the Avant Estate and the Cabriolet arriving later unlike the previous RS4 and RS2 which were available exclusively as Avants. In production between 2006-2008, the B7 was constructed from fully galvanised steel in a monocoque design with the RS4 benefiting from lightweight Aluminium front wings and bonnet. Despite the wide flared arches, large air intakes and low and purposeful stance, the RS4 is remarkably slippery with a class-leading drag-coefficient (Cd) of .31.The engine of the B7 RS4 is based on the existing all-alloy 4,163cc V8 from the B6 S4 and shares many parts, and Fuel Stratified Injection with the 4.2 FSI V8 in the Q7. It produces 414bhp at 7,800rpm and this power is fed through a Getrag 6-speed manual gearbox and out to all four wheels with the aid of Audi’s trademark ‘Quattro’ permanent four-wheel drive system with a 'default' 40:60 front-to-rear torque split. It’s fitted as standard with ‘Dynamic Ride Control’ (DRC), a purely mechanical system that hydraulically links diagonally opposite dampers with valves to control the passage of fluid according to the forces acting on the wheels. This offers the suppleness in a straight line, tautness in corners, and swift fluid progress that you would expect from a quick modern Audi but, surprisingly, generates a level of driver involvement that’s at BMW level.Dating from 2007, this remarkable RS4 has been owned and stored by its first owner and his father for most of its life and has covered a warranted 217 miles. It’s finished in Mugello Blue, a striking deep mineral blue that varies in intensity with the light and the cockpit is classic Audi RS in Black, immensely comfortable yet totally functional. The only evidence of its long period of storage is some, almost imperceptible, pitting of some of the external chrome. Our vendor has now decided to offer the Audi for sale and was keen to present it in showroom condition, replacing the front grille (the original remains with the car) and has new badging yet to be fitted. Our advice was not to fit the badging as keeping the 217-mile car absolutely original is important in terms of rarity and consequently value but the parts are with the car should the new owner decide to return the car to the road and drive around in, what would effectively be, a ‘new’ 2007 RS4.It has recently been iClick here for more details and images

A simply stunning collector-quality example in a fantastic colour combination and specification with just 656 miles from new.343bhp 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six engine substantially re-engineered by the 'M-Division' mated to a 6-speed Getrag gearbox that takes power to the rear wheels via a variable-lock LSDIncredible to believe this car is now 20 years old – ‘as new’ condition with showroom delivery mileageRemaining in secure storage whilst the owner went to Spain for 19 years having then covered just 640 milesThe original bottle of champagne is in the boot from the supplying dealer along with all keys, key rings, hardtop roof, wind deflector, book-pack and the SupaGuard protectionUpon being rediscovered, the car went to BMW Vines of Gatwick for an inspection, full (1,200 mile) service, recommissioning and recalls for road useFastidiously stored and maintained ever since, this car is as healthy as it is originalA decade after the Golf GTi had turned the sports car concept on its head and shown that a hot hatch could be as dynamic as a roadster, BMW brought out the now iconic M3 E30 in 1986.This homologation special was only meant to help the company win Touring Car races, but it started a whole new genre and added excitement to the BMW range that it couldn’t do without. The E36 M3 of ’93 was accused of being more of a marketing tool, a tad unwieldy and overweight, but the E46 was designed to address that. The M3 E46 took the hearts of real sports car fans by storm when it launched in 2000. With a low weight construction and the high-rev concept of its inline 6-cylinder engine, for many it embodied a return to the virtues of the M3 E30. The following year, a convertible E46 M3 followed, combining a sporty experience and the luxury of open-top driving in an unprecedented way.Priced on a par with the Porsche Boxster S, the E46 M3 was streets ahead in performance, challenging the much pricier 911 and Audi RS4. Stiffened, wider-tracked with big wheel arches and a massive front spoiler, it packed a 343bhp 3.2-litre ‘S54’ straight-six engine substantially re-engineered by the 'M' division. A six-speed Getrag gearbox took power to the rear wheels via a variable-lock limited-slip diff, developed with GKN. All cars were officially limited to 155 mph, although Autocar’s test model happily topped 160 mph.Modern technology meant that ABS, switchable Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control and Traction Control systems were standard. It sounded brilliant, too. "The grunty rumble from the quad exhausts at idle gives way to a serrated wail as the straight-six climbs to its redline," enthused Autocar magazine.Aluminium was widely used to keep weight down, for the bonnet and brake calipers as well as suspension components, though the car still ended just a bit heavier than its predecessor thanks to a high level of standard equipment inside the opulent leather-clad interior. As a package, it was a triumph – the original M3 grown up.The car presented here must be seen to be believed. It is a 2001 BMW M3 (E46) Convertible with the more desirable manual gearbox, which has covered just 656 miles from new! Read that again. Can there surely be another like this?! It is incredible to believe this car is now 20 years old – ‘as new’ condition, including the smell, with showroom delivery mileage.Remaining in a high-quality garage whilst the owner went to Spain for 19 years (having then covered just 640 miles), it was discovered by our vendor through a mutual connection. Not believing his eyes, and before it was even started up, the car was trailered straight to BMW Vines of Gatwick for an inspection, a full (1,200 mile) service (invoice is in the history file), recommissioning and manufacturer recalls (including airbags and engine bearing cap replacement) for road use. After this, fitted with a new BMW battery, a new fuel pump and some fresh fuel, its straight-six engine was awoken.Amazingly, the original bottle of champagne from the supplying dealer was in the boot, plus the car was found to have all keys, key rings, hardtop roof, wind deflector (unopened), and book-pack.Fastidiously stored and maintained ever since its discovery by our vendor, this car is as healthy as it is original. One for the BMW collector, this amazing car is in possibly the best colour combination for an E46 of Carbon Black paintwork and black leather interior, plus a big specification including Harmann Kardon HiFi, electric memory seats, heated front seats. 19″ polished alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, cruise control, climate control and parking Sensors. With one registered keeper and just 335 miles from new, this is an incredibly rare opportunity. Supplied by Evans Halshaw Ford of Preston to the first and only registered keeper on the 28th November 2003Finished in Imperial Blue with the Sparco front seats trimmed in contrasting black and blue leather with alcantara insertsThe rear seats are similarly trimmed with the handbrake and gear knob finished in machined aluminiumA brisk 0-60 mph is achieved in 5.9 seconds from the Garret-turbocharged 2.0-litre engine mated to a short-shift, five-speed gearboxBought new by a prominent Lancashire businessman, driven for a weekend, and correctly stored thereafterOffered to auction with just 335 miles (atoc) on factory supplied tyres with the two keys still attached to the Evans Halshaw leather key fobsSupplied with an RS monogrammed bookpack that includes the manuals, service book and a fresh MOT which will be valid until October 2022With a heritage cemented by rally legend Colin McCrae, any Ford Focus RS Mk1 is special but this car is in another league and deserving of serious consideration. In 2002 Ford launched the Focus RS, returning those famous letters to one of its cars for the first time since the Ford Escort RS Cosworth. The new Focus RS was inspired by Colin McRae's WRC rally exploits and featured a 2.0-litre Duratec RS engine with an advanced turbocharging system and oil-spray cooled pistons to achieve more power - which eventually peaked at 215 bhp and 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds. The chassis was developed and a Quaife torque-biasing differential fitted to ensure optimal front-wheel-drive tractability. Suspension was by uprated offset coil springs with Sachs Racing dampers whilst stopping power was provided by Brembo brakes. The cabin was competition-inspired and featured leather and Alcantara Sparco seats. The exterior of the car took a number of styling cues from the WRC rally car and even used custom 18inch O.Z. Racing alloy wheels as a nod to its competition cousin. This amazing example was supplied by Evans Halshaw Ford of Preston to its first and only registered keeper on the 28th November 2003 finished in Imperial Blue with the Sparco front seats trimmed in contrasting black and blue leather with Alcantara inserts. The rear seats are similarly trimmed and the handbrake and gear knob are finished in machined aluminium. The interior is further enhanced by the addition of carbon fibre to the gear-stick surround and the door cards have blue-trimmed inserts. The car was bought new by a notable Lancashire businessman and collector who used it for a weekend and then subsequently stored it, with the V5C remaining in the original owner’s name. Presented to auction in the condition that you might expect with a car that has covered just 335 miles from new, at the time of cataloguing. The RS monogrammed book pack includes the manuals, service book and a fresh MOT will be valid until October 2022. The Evans Halshaw monogrammed key fobs are still attached to the two keys, the rear screen bears the supplying dealer sticker and the car sits on the original factory-supplied tyres. The “Fast Ford” market has always been led by low mileage, factory-original cars and none come better than this example. A very smart manual example of the E34 M5, UK-supplied, rarely seen in this condition and showing an odometer reading of 45,587 miles.Supplied by the Blue Bell Garage, Wilmslow Ltd. on the 1st May 1990 in Brilliant Red with a Champagne leather interiorThe car was specified with optional electric roof, "de-chrome" option and AC Schnitzer alloy wheelsProduced from 1988, the E34 first generation of the M5 was powered by the 3.6-litre straight-six engine mated to a 5-speed Getrag manual boxThe history file includes every previously issued MOT Certificate warranting the mileage of 45,587 (atoc)Present also is the original service book, reams of historic invoices and the tool kitThe market for the E34 M5 has matured with UK-supplied examples in this condition and mileage in high demand.Whilst the 1980s saw an abundance of smaller two-door sports saloon produced for touring car homologation it was the BMW M5 that invented the notion of a full sized luxury saloon capable of incredible speeds. E34 generation of the M5 was produced from September 1988 to 1995. It was hand-built at BMW M GmbH in Garching, Germany. Assembly was done either by a single M employee or a team of M employees and generally took about two weeks. In the second half of 1991, engine displacement was increased to 3.8 litres with the S38B38. Power was now increased to 335bhp and the E34 M5 was the last M5 to feature an engine with a historical link to a BMW Motorsport racing engine. An E34 M5 was raced in the Australian 1992 Bathurst 12-Hour Production Car endurance race, placing 2nd overall and 1st in class. It was driven by former F1 champion Alan Jones, Neville Crichton and BMW Touring car driver, Tony Longhurst. Supplied by the Blue Bell Garage Wilmslow Ltd., Cheshire on the 1st May 1990 in Brilliant Red with Champagne leather interior, and like all M5s of the period, a six-speed manual gearbox. The car was specified with optional electric sunroof and unusually, although unused, a detachable hidden towbar, “chrome delete” option and AC Schnitzer alloy wheels. An invoice on file relates to the purchase and fitting of a new set of AC Schnitzer alloy wheels for £5,210, which remain on the car today. Kept by the first owner for some ten years it is said that he took the car to Germany and had the limiter removed at a cost of 2500DM, achieving just over 180mph on the autobahn before backing off. The history file includes every previously issued MOT certificate, warranting the mileage of 45,587 miles, at the time of cataloguing. Present also is the original service book, reams of historic invoices and tool kit. Very few examples of the E34 M5 are available in the global market in this condition and mileage, and fewer still have the distinction of being UK-supplied. Presented in classic period colours for serious consideration by enthusiast and connoisseur alike. SpecificationMake: BMWModel: 5-SERIES E34Year: 1990Chassis Number: WBSHD92030GA25048Registration Number: G811 XNCTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 605947893317 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 45600 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Cream LeatherClick here for more details and images

It's on offer from 19 years current ownership, has had just three former registered keepers and the current indicated mileage was 84,500 at the time of cataloguing. It's finished in Panther Black with a classic Dark Grey and striped 'Quattro' cloth interior and having had some recent attention to the bodywork, it really looks impressive. Mechanically, it's fresh from recommissioning by a known Audi Quattro specialist and that work included rear brake pads, rear wishbone bushes, oil cooler, gearbox mounts, cam belt, water pump, air mass motor, engine oil, oil filter, ABS repair kit and a new fuel tank (£400).This work was completed in October 2021 at a cost of £5,421.27. A fresh MOT until October 2022 was issued with 'No Advisories'. From our vendor;"Originally purchased in 2002 after a long hard search looking at a few earlier examples that left a bit to be desired, and later reconsidering my strategy by deciding to buy the very best 20v I could find and afford at the time. The car is original and unmodified as the photos indicate and throughout its ownership I have always been keen to maintain this. It's been an absolute joy to own and drive over the years having been dry stored covered and never having seen snow, rain or a supermarket car park in 20 years of ownership. In 2018 and to date (due to the pandemic), a sympathetic overhaul was embarked upon with many replacement parts being fitted with the idea of owning the car well in to the next decade but a change in circumstances mean, sadly, the car is now for sale".The rare 20v (RR) is regarded as one of the most desirable and fastest appreciating modern classics in the market today and this smart Panther Black example surely warrants consideration. Elegantly sculpted, final iteration of Ferrari's long-serving Testarossa.Stunning and super rare, one of only 41 UK RHD manual box 512 examples producedSuperbly presented in Rosso Red with an excellent Crema leather interiorShowing just 46,200 miles and on offer from long-term ownershipSupplied with a comprehensive history file with some invoices and old MOTsRegistration KU 18 is not included in the sale of the carThe third and final evolution of the latter-day Testarossa, the F512M (for 'modificata') represented the best Ferrari could offer in terms of a pure physical V12 experience, thanks to its manual gearbox, a power output increased to 440bhp and its rear mid-engine configuration. A styling overhaul introduced exposed, rather than retractable headlights, redesigned front and rear bumpers and new round tail lights. Interior quality was also improved and with just 500 examples produced, the 512M is a genuinely sought-after and rarely come to market. This lovely UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 512M is one of only 41 produced for the UK Market and was supplied on the 5th of June 1995 by Lancaster Ferrari of Colchester, finished in Rosso Red with Crema leather. Just 501 examples were made in total for this run-out 512 model prior to the arrival of the front engine 550 Maranello. This example has been with its current dealer proprietor since September 2003 and has been cossetted by him during that time and stored in a de-humidified environment during that period. It has been used sparingly in the last 10 years and clocking up just 300 miles! The car comes with its original Tan Leather bound book pack containing the owners handbook, service book and various other marketing aids along with a JVC owners manual. The service book details 8 services by Lancaster, 2 by Foskers of Brands Hatch and the balance by our vendor. In with the history file is an invoice by the current custodian for £2,255 for the all-important cam belt replacement in August 2018 and a full service along with an MOT.Within the separate history file are some old invoices and no less than 21 old MOT Certificates helping to confirm the cars mileage. Supplied with the car is the original Tool Kit encased in its Tan Leather holdall and also a full dust cover. Very rarely do these cars come to market and this one is fresh after 18 years and is sure to generate good interest. Please note that the registration KU 18 shown in the photos is no longer with the vehicle and it now shows as M527 SGYAlthough the 512M was the final development of the Testarossa, it was the distillation of a decade of small improvements and had obviously been to the gym, lost a bit of weight, toned those biceps and had a bit of a facelift. The one dimension that hadn’t changed was East to West and the 512 still looked a fraction wider than your average US aircraft-carrier, however, despite its white line-straddling profile, it feels nimble and civilised to drive and not at all intimidating. Its looks have remained dramatic, however, and still generate the open-mouthed disbelief that was much in evidence in Paris in 1984 when we got our first look at the Testarossa, but whilst the prospect of owning a top-of-the-range, mid-engined, Continent-munching Ferrari seemed a dream back then, this superbly presented, low mileage, impeccably maintained 512M is sensibly guided and eminently attainable. SpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: F512 MYear: 1995Chassis Number: ZFFVA40C000101873Registration Number: TBCTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 39339Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 46205 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Cream LeatherClick here for more details and images

A rather special F1 Spider in Bianco with substantial upgrades. An amazing UK-supplied, right-hand drive F1 gearbox example that’s been extensively upgradedUpgrades include a Stradale gearbox, engine re-map, performance exhaust with 'De-Cat' pipes, F430 alloy wheels, aluminium brake calipers etcNow finished in Bianco with full black leather and showing 40,900 milesGood history file including all the usual manuals and invoices detailing recent expenditureOffered at a guide that seems great value for money when you consider the investment made into this carThe 360 Spider is Ferrari's twentieth road-going convertible and the 360 was always designed with a Spider variant in mind. Since removing the roof of a coupé reduces the torsional rigidity, the 360 was built for strength in other areas and Ferrari designers strengthened the sills, stiffened the front of the floor pan, and redesigned the windscreen frame. The rear bulkhead had to be stiffened to cut out engine noise from the cabin. The convertible's necessary dynamic rigidity is provided by additional side reinforcements and a cross brace in front of the engine. Passenger safety is ensured by a strengthened windscreen frame and roll bars. The use of light aluminium throughout results in the Spider weighing in only 60 kg (130 lb) heavier than the coupé.Offered here is an amazing UK-supplied, right-hand drive F1 gearbox example that’s been extensively upgraded. Upgrades include a Stradale gearbox, engine re-map, performance exhaust with 'De-Cat' pipes, F430 alloy wheels, aluminium brake calipers etc. During the upgrade process, the decision was taken to finish the car in Bianco which is complemented by a full black leather interior and the odometer now reads 40,900 miles. There are numerous invoices on file detailing the extensive work and expenditure this particular 360 has had lavished on it over the years. Only 4,600 miles from new, impeccable service history, recent health check and immaculate throughout.Presenting superbly in Carrara (marble) White with a black interior and lightweight bucket seatsProducing some 370bhp from its 3.8-litre flat sixShort-shift, 6-speed manual gearbox, mechanical LSD, Porsche Torque Vectoring systemJust 4,600 miles only from new and two previous keepersOriginally supplied by Porsche Centre Aberdeen who took care of the first service in December 2017 at 1,412 milesSecond service by Porsche Centre Solihull in August of this year at 4,553 miles (£1,399). At the same time the car had a full health check and passed with flying coloursSupplied with a complete book pack and stamped service bookThe Boxster Spyder is the most extreme version of Porsche’s 981 Boxster, lighter by 30kg, longer by ten millimetres and lower by 11mm when compared with a Boxster GTS. The front end is more aggressive in its design and there are distinctive streamlined humps behind the roll-over hoops (a tribute to the 718 Spyder of the 1960s). Suspension is the 20mm lower, passive Sports set-up that is also a no-cost option on the Boxster GTS. There is a Sport Chrono package as standard, the most notable benefit of which is the provision of dynamic transmission mounts. On the rear axle is a mechanical LSD (22 per cent locking under power and 27 per cent on the overrun), which is part of the Porsche Torque Vectoring system. The Spyder’s 3.8-litre engine is a mildly detuned version of the one found in the Cayman GT4 and the 991 Carrera S. Power is 45bhp up on a Boxster GTS and torque is up a healthy 37lb ft, taking the total to 310lb ft. The steering rack is slightly quicker (taken from the 911 Turbo) and the steering wheel is 360mm in diameter, like the GT4 and GT3 RS. Finally, the look is not forgotten with the addition of a very elegant but sporty one-piece double-dented rear hood. This jaw-dropping example has covered a mere 4,600 miles from new and has had just two former keepers with our vendor having the car since July last year and only looking to move it on due to problems with personal mobility. Originally supplied by Porsche Centre Aberdeen who took care of the first service in December 2017 at 1,412 miles with the next service being completed by Porsche Centre Solihull in August of this year at 4,553 miles all receipted for £1,399 At the same time the car had a full health check and passed with flying colours.Finished in Carrara (not Carrera) White with a Black interior, this fabulous 981 Spyder comes with a full Porsche presentation pack including Service Book, Owners Handbook, Communication Management Book and a Radio Equipment reference leaflet. Being the later Spyder, it has the improved convertible top which takes but a very short while to drop down as opposed to the original jigsaw puzzle of the earlier cars. With the 981 benefitting from the 911's 6-cylinder powerplant, performance is on a whole different level making it a true drivers' car capable of speeds up to 180 mph. This may be one of the best examples available on offer currently and with just 4,600 miles from new, very collectable. A truly fabulous example of the SuperSport Coupé from long-term ownership. This 1986 SuperSport is a C16 (UK-supplied) right-hand drive car smartly presented in black with a grey leather and pinstripe cloth interiorSupplied new by Dick Lovett specialist cars of Marlborough to its first owner, a Mr David Greening of Cheltenham on the 01/01/1986Owned by our vendor for an incredible 32 years and just three previous keepersSupplied with the original book pack containing the Owners' Handbook and stamped Service Book with ten stamps, 11 old MOT Certificates and some early invoices for work undertakenLast serviced in September 2020 at Brookfield Garage, specialist Porsche Centre, StowmarketThese are rare 911s and, when fitted with the 5-speed G50 gearbox, are real drivers' cars. At this mileage, in this condition and with excellent provenance, this example could well turn out to be a very sensible investment.Development of the Porsche 911 Targa proceeded in line with that of its closed coupé cousin, the most notable advances immediately prior to the manufacture of this 1986 model having included the introduction of the 3.2-litre engine for 1984. Although it remained an air-cooled 'flat six', the '3.2' was 80% new and incorporated an effective cam-chain tensioner and associated lubrication system that at last addressed a perennial 911 shortcoming. With 230bhp on tap, the new 'boxer' motor endowed the Carrera with a stunning level of performance, the bald statistics being a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 152mph. Although it enjoyed a 52 horsepower advantage, the Turbo was only marginally faster, having a top speed of 157mph, while most considered the normally aspirated 911 Carrera easier to drive. For the increasing number of customers that coveted the Turbo's distinctive 'wide body' look but did not need its marginally superior performance, Porsche introduced the SSE package, also known as the Supersport, which could be specified for other models in the 911 range. In addition to the wide body, the SSE (option code M491) included the Turbo's spoilers; suspension; four-piston brake callipers; 16" forged alloy wheels; and low-profile tyres. Only 75 right-hand drive examples were delivered to the UK making this model very rare indeed.Looking very smart in Black with a classic eighties 'pinstripe' interior, this is one of those 75 right-hand drive examples and is on offer from 32 years long-term ownership, one of the family! It was supplied by Dick Lovett Specialist Cars of Marlborough to its first owner, a Mr David Greening of Cheltenham on the 1st of January 1986 and had two further keepers until 1989 when our vendor became the last owner. The car has been garaged throughout this period, apparently never been taken out in the wet and has been well cared for both mechanically and aesthetically.D540 UOD is supplied with a complete book pack containing its handbook and the service book displaying ten stamps, the last being in September of 2020, completed by Brookfield Garage a specialist Porsche Centre in Stowmarket. To back up the service book there are a number of old invoices and 11 old MOT certificates within the file. This is a really desirable 'M491' in a great colour and with lots of provenance. The 911 'Turbo-look' was mid-eighties era-defining and this rare example, sensibly guided, will reward any inspection.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 3.2 SSE COUPEYear: 1986Chassis Number: WPOZZZ91ZS100849Registration Number: D540 UODTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 63G01254Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 70454 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black/Grey PinstripeClick here for more details and images

UK-supplied to the first of just two owners covering 9,130 miles between them and serviced only at Porsche main dealers.A facelift Carrera 2 supplied by HR Owen Hatfield in Arctic Silver to the first of just two registered keepersWith a larger 3.6ltr engine than the earlier 996 model with updated lights and bumpersAluminium touches on the handbrake lever and Tiptronic selector as well as Porsche-branded stainless-steel door entry guardsThe odometer reading of 9,130 miles (atoc) is complemented by a service history at only Porsche main dealersThe history file includes purchase paperwork, correspondence and invoices totalling more than £6,000The original owner’s book pack also accompanies the car, including PCM manual, tracker handbook and Porsche assistance handbookPresented to auction with a fresh MOT, two keys, aforementioned detailed history file and now ready for its next adventure. The 996 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between 1998 and 2005. On its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Progressively stringent noise regulations, environmental concerns, a higher expectation for refinement and a high-performance, four-valve per cylinder engine made the switch necessary. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core. The Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001 bought the most significant changes to the 996. Inaddition to a more powerful 3.6 litre engine and styling changes to the existing model range, therewere two new models – the C4S and Targa. Visually, the main change to the Carrera 2 and 4 was to the front wings and lights, incorporating those from the Turbo model which was introduced in 2001. This gave it a noticeably different front-end look to the Boxster, as it was a common comment that they looked too similar. The front and rear bumpers were modified to give a ‘skirt’ effect around the bottom edges, giving them a slightly more aggressive appearance. Engine capacity was enlarged from 3387cc to 3596cc and there was a resulting power increase from 300bhp to 320bhp at 6800rpm. Maximum torque was up from 258ft/lb at 4600 to 273 ft/lb at 4250rpm. Supplied by HR Owen Hatfield in Arctic Silver with black leather interior to the first of just two registered keepers who between them have covered some 9,130 miles, at the time of cataloguing, and returning to Porsche main dealers for servicing. A UK-market (C16) supplied ‘Sport’ model, in a great colour combination with good history. On offer from the Estate of the late David Ham, the very well-respected Jaguar enthusiast and gentleman racerSought-after UK ‘Sport’ model which came with Fuchs alloys, front lip spoiler, 'whale-tail' rear spoiler, Bilstein Sport shock absorbers and Sports seats, plus spec’d with a sunroof, rear wiper and passenger wing mirrorRecipient of a top-end engine rebuild within the last 10 years, accompanied by lots of paperwork for maintenance and parts, supporting the indicated 102,000 miles (still just 2,500 per year)Only two owners in the last 27 years, previous owner kept the car 16 yearsIn rare Wine Red Metallic paintwork with a Pasha fabric interiorA fantastic entry into the enjoyable world of 911 ownership. The arrival of the 3.0-litre 911 SC in the 1978 model line-up brought some semblance of order to the Porsche range after the mid-seventies. The middle of this decade was a period epitomised by the once-maligned "impact or big bumper' models, and when launched, the SC looked modern, clean and fresh in comparison to the dated overall appearance of the original 911, now over a decade old. With new and innovative design features like the reflective red strip between the tail-lights with PORSCHE capitalised across it, the '78 cars looked altogether sharper.According to Porsche Club GB, the 911 SC is a "landmark 911" because it was the first Porsche model developed to appeal to a wider market than just existing 911 enthusiasts. It is the model that launched the 911's reputation for excellent durability and build quality. Two factors above all else contributed to that reputation - the use from 1976 of a fully zinc coated steel bodyshell and the adoption of a normally aspirated version of the Turbo's more robust 3.0-litre aluminium engine. The earlier 2.7-litre unit had been recognised as being at the limit of its development and the new Type 930 engine reset the design parameters for the flat-6's development potential. The move to an aluminium engine was to regain case reliability, something missing for many years with magnesium. Combined with the well-proven Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 gearbox it became a very flexible, torquey powerplant. Originally power output was 180bhp, later 188bhp and then by MY 1980 it was increased to 204bhp (with improvements in economy), good for 146 mph.In 1984, due to enduring demand for the 911 (the 928 still having made no impact on 911 sales) the SC’s replacement, the 911 3.2 Carrera, was introduced, but not before SC sales totalled a remarkable 58,914 cars. The car presented here is a UK-supplied RHD 1980 Porsche 911 SC Coupe. It is a UK ‘Sport’ model, this being the most sought-after variant with the larger Fuchs alloys, front lip spoiler, 'whale-tail' rear spoiler, Bilstein Sport shock absorbers and Sports seats. This particular car was also spec'd with the options of a sunroof, rear windscreen wiper and passenger wing mirror.According to our vendor, the car has had just two owners in the last 27 years, being bought by David Ham in 2012; and knowing good cars like he did, this example is likely to have many redeeming qualities. It has benefited from a top-end rebuild and there is lots of evidence of servicing/maintenance over the years. There are some small areas of minor corrosion (below o/s headlight, along seam between scuttle and o/s front wing and small bits in door shuts) but the important areas, we are informed, are all sound.Frequently offered at a tempting guide price, the SC model has been somewhat of a ‘sleeper’ 911 but is now tipped by many to gain the recognition it deserves, particularly the well-specified 'Sport'. Whilst this classic 911 would benefit from some light cosmetic attention, it could undoubtedly be enjoyed as it is, with many years of classic 911 motoring ahead of it. SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 SCYear: 1980Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ91ZBS100400Registration Number: WTT 835Transmission: ManualEngine Number: 63D6858 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveClick here for more details and images

A striking example of the "original" 911 Turbo with just 32,340 miles, remarkable.A cracking example of the earlier 4-speed 3.3-litre, flat six 911 TurboFinished in Guards Red with a striking black and red Leather interiorJust 32,340 miles from new with its four keepers, the third for 34 yearsSupplied with its original complete book pack, lots of old MOTs and tax discs along with some old invoicesWith 930 Turbo prices still gathering pace. This could prove to be an enjoyable and sensible investmentMuch of the Porsche 911's development had resulted from the factory's racing program, and it was the period Group 4 homologation rules, which required 400 road cars to be built, that spurred the development of 'Project 930' - the legendary 911 Turbo. In production from April 1975, the Turbo married a KKK turbocharger to the 3.0 litre Carrera RSR engine, in road trim a combination that delivered 260 bhp for a top speed of 155mph. In 1978 the Turbo's engine was enlarged to 3.3 litres, gaining an intercooler in the process; power increased to 300bhp and the top speed, of what was the fastest accelerating road car of its day, went up to 160mph. But the Turbo wasn't just about top speed, it was also the best equipped 911 and amazingly flexible, hence only four speeds in the gearbox, being capable of racing from a standstill to 100mph in 14 seconds! The Turbo's characteristic flared wheel arches and 'tea tray' rear spoiler had already been seen on the Carrera model while the interior was the most luxurious yet seen in a 911, featuring leather upholstery, air conditioning and electric windows. More refined than hitherto, yet retaining its high performance edge, the Porsche 911 Turbo sold in the thousands, becoming the definitive sports car of its age. This excellent original, right-hand drive 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo was supplied new by Porsche AFN Guildford originally as a demonstrator and then onto its first owner, a Mr Keith Ross of Croydon on the 6th of June 1985. The second owner, a Mr Peter Simon, then became its custodian in November 1985 and enjoyed the car until May 1986 when Mrs Ann Sterling took over the reigns and held them until September 2020 an incredible 34 years. Classically finished in Guards Red with a rather striking Black and Red Leather interior, this stunning 911 Turbo has travelled just 32,300 miles from new making this car super desirable. It has been stored on and off for many years and has documentation to prove this and the MOT history shows 23 old certificates documenting the miles this special car has travelled. Also within the file are 15 old tax discs, a complete book pack and a selection of old invoices detailing servicing and maintenance over the years. Our vendor, who runs a specialist body repair shop, had the car totally recommissioned including all new discs and pads, fresh fluids and a set of Pirelli period tyres fitted making this Turbo spot on and ready for sale. Despite no legal requirement, it will come to the sale with a fresh MOT just prior to it being delivered for peace of mind. This super low mileage Turbo represents a wonderful opportunity to own one of these iconic German coupes and with the market for 930 Turbos continuing to gain strength we are delighted to offer this spectacular classic supercar that could well prove to be a sensible and enjoyable investment.SpecificationMake: PORSCHEModel: 911 TURBOYear: 1985Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ93ZFSOOO333Registration Number: B556 CVHTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 67F00360Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 32340 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black and Red LeatherClick here for more details and images

Their talented engineers were able to produce a very smooth running four-cylinder engine by utilising two counter-rotating balance shafts running at twice engine speed. These carry eccentric weights which produce inertial forces that balance out the unbalanced secondary forces, all a bit technical but the result is a large four-cylinder engine that feels as turbine-smooth as a six. Cosmetically, the 944's bodywork was revised with wider wheel arches (similar to that of the 924 Carrera GT), a fresh interior and upgrades to the brakes and suspension. With greater visual presence and the performance to match, better handling, stopping power and more creature comforts, the 944 was a natural step forward. A 'turbo' version of the 944 was always on the cards, and the forced-induction boosted the 2.5-litre engine by a healthy 60bhp, necessitating an upgraded clutch and gearbox. The chassis was further developed and thicker anti-roll bars and four-pot brake calipers were fitted to deal with the significantly increased performance. Externally, a smoother nose panel and a larger rear spoiler distinguished it from its lesser siblings. In February 1991, the final year of 944 production, Porsche released the 944 Turbo Cabriolet which combined the Turbo S' 250bhp engine with the strengthened cabriolet body built by the ASC-American Sunroof Company at Weinsberg. Compared to the Coupe, the Cabriolet's windscreen is lowered about 6cm and raked back to reduce the wind noise when the top is down. Porsche initially announced that 600 would be made, but ultimately 625 were built, with just 100 examples produced in right-hand drive for the UK, Japanese, Australian and South African markets. These are rare cars, produced for just one year, with only 32 examples believed to still reside in the UK.This particular example is a UK-supplied, matching numbers car, presented in Graphite Metallic over a perfectly contrasting Dark Blue leather interior. It has covered just 46,500 miles from new which, over its 30 years of life, means that it has averaged just over 1,500 miles per year. The car is supplied with a fully detailed service history, with its most recent service carried out by ‘Zuffenhaus Porsche’ in October 2021, less than 250 miles ago. In addition, all the original manuals are present, alongside countless invoices and previous MOTs all helping corroborate the indicated mileage and emphasising how this lovely Porsche has been cared for on a 'no expense spared' basis. On offer from a private collection, this beautiful example presents delightfully both cosmetically and mechanically. Over the years, the W113 had quietly evolved from a nimble 'sports car' into a comfortable 'Grand Tourer' and was usually equipped with four-speed automatic transmission and air conditioning. The final evolution of the Pagoda was the 280SL, launched in November 1967 with a host of technical improvements, and is now seen as the most refined iteration of the W113 Series with its robust new seven-bearing, 2778cc, M130 engine developing 170bhp and perfectly suiting the automatic transmission. By the time production ceased in March 1971, some 23,885 had been made making the 280SL the most popular of all W113 variants. The fabulous 280SL on offer here is an original, UK-supplied right-hand drive car elegantly presented in Midnight Blue with a matching factory hardtop and recently renewed Navy Blue soft top. A top-of-the-range, S-Class LWB with just 6,500 miles, a single former keeper and dutiful ownership.A £70,000-plus marvel of a motorcar in 2006, just 6,500 miles ago, now guided £15,000 - £20,000Mercedes always uses the halo S-Class model as a showcase for its latest technology and refinement, with the latest W221 version of 2006, the first S-Class of the new millennium, it was no exceptionAt launch, it was lauded by Autocar magazine as unquestionably the best car in the class, and arguably the most complete road car in historyThe 5461cc V8 is mated to a 7-speed gearbox producing an effortless 388bhp, giving a 0-62mph time of just 5.6secsA discreet LWB 5.2m grand saloon where build-quality, refinement and technology are paramountThe Mercedes-Benz S-Class is amongst the world’s most revered luxury cars and it’s only really Rolls-Royce, Bentley and possibly Mercedes' own Maybach that could truly claim to trump it for reputation, but with those all being more than twice as expensive, that’s hardly surprising. You could argue that what makes the S-Class special is its history but, in reality, it’s the fact that Mercedes uses the S-Class as a showcase for its latest technology that makes it stand out. With this incarnation of the S500, Mercedes paid obsessive attention to tranquillity whilst driving, giving a driving experience like no other. Never has a driver felt so remote from the outside world, and yet remained connected to the car to such a degree. The 2006-2013 (W221) S-Class is no different. For example, it was available with infra-red night vision, seats that massage their occupants and a pre-collision assist system of a type that’s taken almost a decade to become commonplace on other cars. After reports of dubious build quality linked to the previous S-Class, Mercedes went to town on, not only the design of the interior, but also its fit and finish. There was also a larger boot than before (think estate car space in a saloon body) and there’s enough room in the back seats to stretch out, particularly if you choose a long-wheelbase car.The engine range at launch included three petrols, the pick of them undoubtedly being the 388bhp, 5461cc V8 mated to a 7-speed gearbox offering a 0-62mph time of just 5.6 seconds, as fitted to the 2006 Mercedes-Benz S500L for sale here. It has covered just over 6,500 miles from new with its two owners and has visited Mercedes for at least two services. Classically painted for a Mercedes, this impressive yet somehow still discreet limo-esque car is now superfluous to our vendor’s needs as he spends most of his time living overseas. This is a lot of car for its guide price, astonishing really.  SpecificationMake: MERCEDESModel: S500Year: 2006Chassis Number: WDD2211712A066266Registration Number: WM51 WMMTransmission: AutoEngine Number: 27396130047194Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 2509 MilesMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

It is currently fitted with the 4 speed T10 Borg WarnerOffering superb value for money, this is an exciting opportunity to enter into the rebirth of one of the most celebrated manufacturers of the 1950sNB;-Please note that this is a VAT qualifying vehicle-Photo credit Matt HowellBritish motorsport legend, Sydney Allard, built his Allard Motor Company into a fabled British car manufacturer from pre-war grassroots motorsport and engineering in London in the late 1930s. Best known for his ‘J’ Series sports racing cars, Sydney achieved iconic status with the 1950 JR followed by the J2X and J2X Le Mans, utilizing V-8 engines from Cadillac and Chrysler, and finally the JR in 1953.The JR ed the field in American sports-car racing in the early 1950s, forcing major manufacturers such as Ferrari and Jaguar to take stock after a renowned East Coast Allard J2 won eight major races in a row. Carroll Shelby drove a J2 with great success, and the fundamental idea of mating a British chassis with an American V-8 engine inspired Shelby to further advance this hybrid concept in developing the Cobra, a fact he readily acknowledged. This new, genuine, Allard JR heralds the rebirth of the Allard marque in modern times over sixty years since the last car rolled out of the Clapham factory in 1959. Seven JRs (chassis number #3401 to 3407) were built between 1953 and 1956 with #3408 naturally given to this car by archivist and first grandson to Sydney, Gavin Allard.Chassis number #3408 is built very close to the specification of the 1953 Le Mans JR chassis number #3402 by Lloyd Allard, which ran in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans, and in doing so, is eligible for accreditation by the FIA. This opens the door to eligibility for racing events around the world. With its removable FIA safety cage and other safety features, this JR could therefore be eligible to race at prestigious international events including the Le Mans Classic, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and Goodwood Revival. At its heart is a 5.4-litre (331cu.in) Cadillac OHV V-8 engine sourced from a K2 with an original Edmunds intake manifold and dual Carter carburettors, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. Clothed in hand-formed all-aluminium bodywork and classically finished in British Racing Green, this JR was constructed using many correct, original Allard components in addition to the engine. These Allard parts include a Marles steering box, Lucas dynamo, a modified JR De Dion axle, front spindles and hubs, brake backplates front and rear, and an Allard speedometer and tachometer. With over two decades of experience in motor racing, motorsport fabrication and restoration of historic Allards, this example was largely constructed by master builder and second grandson Lloyd Allard, with assistance from his father (Sydney’s son) Alan, himself retired from a motorsport career.Historical input and technical basis of the JR design were driven by the original designer Dudley Hume. At the age of 93, Hume supplied his experience, support, and some 120 drawings to this project which he held close to his heart. David Hooper, erstwhile chief engineer and draftsman at Allard Motor Company also gave support and advice. With Hume’s original and contemporary input, this team joined forces to produce a superb car of stunning quality throughout utilising the same construction methods and materials as the 1950s JRs.This remarkable motor car was completed in 2019 and prepared by the second and third generations of the Allard family working together with the original Allard designer and chief engineer – all dedicated to seeing this cherished project reach an enviable conclusion. The JR is ready to be campaigned by its first owner in historic racing, indeed this JR has seen further development this year, visiting various circuits including Silverstone, Goodwood and Prescott to further develop the car.On and off the track, this would be an exciting opportunity for any historic racer or vintage sports car enthusiast as an investment into the rebirth of one of the most celebrated manufacturers of the 1950s. A potential gateway to some of the most prestigious motorsport events in the world and offered at an extremely competitive estimate, this really is a one-off, exciting opportunity that represents superb value for money with a lovely story behind it. Lovely, left-hand drive 150 ideal for European touring, road rallies and regularity events.A left-hand drive XK150 3.4 DHC presented in Gunmetal with a red leather interiorOriginally supplied on 3rd November 1958 through Jaguar Cars, New YorkRestored a few years ago by respected German specialists, OMTS GmbH in GottingenUpgraded for use on long road tours / rallies and fitted with a 5-speed Tremec T5 gearboxIn private ownership for the past few years based on the Isle of Man and used regularly on European trips  One for the driving enthusiast to use and enjoy many more pleasurable road toursThe XK150 was the final incarnation of the XK series and it appeared in May 1957, as either a Fixed or Drophead Coupe. A more refined and capable machine than its predecessors, the 150 was noticeably different from earlier versions of the XK theme with a higher scuttle and door line, whilst the radiator grille reverted to the thinner slats of the XK120 but was altogether wider. The bumpers were deeper and wrapped around, a curved windscreen replaced the divided one on the XK120 and 140, and much needed servo-assisted Dunlop disc brakes were fitted at each corner. However, the XK150 retained much of the mechanical layout of the 140 sharing the same 3.4-litre DOHC Jaguar straight-six, which developed 180bhp at 5750rpm.According to the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this left-hand-drive DHC was originally delivered on the 3rd November 1958 through Jaguar Cars New York, finished in Cream (OEW) with Red leather. The current owner enjoys a significant private collection and bought this elegant Jaguar whilst attending the Essen Show a few years ago. Having just been restored by the German specialists OMTS GmbH in Gottingen and presented on their stand at that event, the car was then taken from Essen to the Isle of Man where our vendor lives.During the restoration, the decision was taken to move away from some of the more 'spartan' aspects of XK ownership and add a few upgrades with long road tours/rallies in mind and was therefore fitted with modern seats and a 5-speed Tremec T5 gearbox. The decision was also taken to repaint the whole car in Gunmetal Grey, classically complementing the red leather interior. Our vendor has really enjoyed his ownership of this lovely example over the past few years and it's been used regularly as intended on European trips with many fond memories and new friends being made along the way. This is an XK150 for the driving enthusiast, to use and enjoy on many more pleasurable road tours around Europe and we welcome and encourage any interested parties to enquire or come see it for themselves at the NEC.  SpecificationMake: JAGUARModel: XK150 3.4 DHCYear: 1958Chassis Number: S837785DNRegistration Number: TBCTransmission: ManualEngine Number: V5704-8 Drive Side: Left-hand DriveMake: LHDInterior Colour: Red leather Click here for more details and images

Incorporating some 40 percent new panels, the rejuvenated model range sported a revised grille, headlamps, tail-lights, bumpers and rear wings. Its cabin, meanwhile, gained a new walnut facia and improved sports seats. The new version was powered by either a punchy straight-six (3980cc) or a soporific V12 (5343cc) engine; the former DOHC unit developed some 223bhp and 283lbft of torque. Featuring a five-speed manual transmission as standard, the 4.0-litre XJS could also be had with a four-speed automatic gearbox. Capable of over 140mph, the model proved to be a refined and relaxing drive, and production continued until 1996. The 'Celebration' was the final iteration of Jaguar's XJ-S (later XJS). Its unique specification was in recognition of 60 years of the Jaguar brand and included chromed rear view mirrors and headlight surrounds; 'Aerosport' diamond-cut alloy wheels, steering wheel with wood sections top and bottom separated by leather on the sides and airbag, the wooden selector lever for the automatic transmission, the black handbrake lever with full leather cover, a Jaguar "leaper" embossed into the leather in the upper part of the seat backs, and contrasting piping around the seats and boot cover. This particular example of the 4.0 Celebration was registered on the 1st of January 1996 to its first owner who passed away in 2006 at which point the car became the property of the gentleman’s step son and has been owned by him ever since. Finished in Ice Blue Metallic with a complementing Oatmeal Leather interior, this very special car has travelled a mere 15,000 miles from new and has been cossetted all its life. It's supplied with an original bill of sale from the first owner (£36,910), the original handbook and stamped service book showing evidence of fifteen stamps with the last service being carried out at 14,800 miles on the 18th of August this year (2021).The alloy wheels have just been refurbished and are wrapped in, as new, rubber and the car is presented in superb condition overall with working Cruise Control, Air Conditioning and Electric Seats. Where else can you find a sub-15,000 mile 4.0 Celebration? This elegant Jaguar will not disappoint and is sure to grace any collection. The Celebration brochure from 1995 states "A car offering more excitement, distinction and value for money than ever before", equally true today. The first Lagonda sold to the public, as confirmed by the AMOC Registry, and showing just 4,300 miles since a complete rebuild by Aston Martin. This car’s AMOC Register entry reads: “First real production car, delivered February (1979)”First registered on the 8th February 1979 with the penultimate owner, prior to our vendor, owning the car for 30 yearsClothed in striking 'razor edge' bodywork designed by William Towns with a luxurious interior of selected Connolly hides and WalnutDocumented restoration by Aston Martin Works in 1986 and further enhanced by our vendor since purchase in 2017With an odometer reading of 4,294 miles (atoc) and believed to have featured in the Lagonda brochure, this car is of serious consideration. With the success of its sports coupe and volante roadsters, Aston Martin periodically revived the Lagonda name seeing it applied to a stretched, four-door AM V8 in the mid-1970s, a mere handful of which saw production. When the concept re-emerged as an entirely new product type, it was the sensation of the 1976 London Motor Show. Clothed in striking 'razor edge' bodywork designed by William Towns - the man responsible for the DBS - the new Lagonda saloon, designated 'Series 2', used the same long-wheelbase V8 chassis as its immediate predecessor, while breaking new ground in terms of digital LCD instrumentation and touch-button switch gear. The aftermath of the mid-1970s fuel crises and issues with this advanced concept would delay production until April 1978, by which time a simplified arrangement had been adopted. The interior though, was every bit as luxurious as the exterior was futuristic, featuring selected Connolly hides, Wilton carpeting and Walnut veneer, all hand-finished by skilled craftsmen in the best Aston Martin tradition. In the Lagonda, Aston's well-proven 5.3-litre V8 employed a quartet of twin-choke Weber 42DCNF carburettors and produced a maximum of 280bhp at 5,000rpm with 320lb/ft of torque available lower down the range. A Chrysler Torqueflite automatic gearbox was the standard transmission. More than 17' long, 6' wide and weighing two tons, the Lagonda was an imposing sight from any angle, yet despite its bulk proved capable of reaching 60mph in 7.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 145mph. Production got into its stride towards the end of 1978, with one car per week being completed at the Newport Pagnell factory. The Lagonda was face-lifted in 1987 as the Series 4, acquiring a slightly softer, less hard-edged look and continued in production until May 1990 by which time a total of 638 had been built, including 98 Series 4 models. Even today, almost 30 years after its sensational debut, there are few cars that can match the visual presence of the Aston Martin Lagonda. One of the very first production cars completed, chassis number '13010' is an example of Towns' design in its purest, original form. Formerly registered 'YHX 722T', it is the second Lagonda produced for retail sale. The chassis numbering sequence commenced with '13001', and of the preceding nine cars, some of which were prototypes, only five survive. This example's AMOC Register entry reads: "First real production car, delivered February (1979)". It's believed that this car also featured in official Aston Martin sales literature of the period.'13010' belonged to the previous owner for 30 years and has covered only 4,294 miles since a complete rebuild by Aston Martin in March 1986, invoices and correspondence on file. Stored for the fourteen years until purchase by our vendor in 2017, the car required extensive re-commissioning with bills on file amounting to some £30,000. Accompanying paperwork consists of a V5 registration document and the aforementioned bills from Aston Martin relating to the 1986 rebuild and a fresh MOT is planned prior to auction.SpecificationMake: ASTON MARTINModel: LAGONDAYear: 1978Chassis Number: L00R13010Registration Number: WWH 111Transmission: AutomaticEngine Number: V/540/3010 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 4294 MilesMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

A lovely, low ownership, 1955 86" Series 1 fresh from a fastidious restoration. Superbly restored Series 1 from long-term ownershipOriginally supplied new to a farmer in Shropshire Underwent body off - nut & bolt restoration in 2018/20Our vendor believes he is the car's 4th owner and it appears to have been used lightly all its lifeThe indicated mileage when he bought it was 20,192 .(see MOT 2005/06). Current 24,572This is a really lovely Srs 1, properly recommissioned and delightfully presentedAs an engineering marvel, the Land Rover can still outstrip its modern counterparts, and the Series I rightly belongs in the Motoring Hall of Fame. Hugely successful globally, improvements were made throughout its long lifespan. In 1950, the lights were moved from a position behind the grille to protrude through the mesh and in 1952 a larger 2.0-litre petrol engine replaced the original 1.6-litre. The wheelbase was extended to 86 inches in 1955 to give the vehicle more stability and greater load capacity. The stronger, more reliable 2.0-litre petrol engine was standard until 1957.This venerable Series 1 is believed to have been originally supplied new to a farmer in Shropshire before finding a home, some years later, in Bromsgrove where it appears to have been renovated and resprayed in a green (not Bronze Green). It was then sold to a Mr Wyatt in Telford who owned the car for many years before old age meant it had to be moved on. It was purchased by its current owner, our vendor, in 2006 and he used it regularly but lightly, until the decision was made to fully restore the 'Landie' with the process starting in 2018.Our vendor has kindly provided us with a list of the work carried out (below) and invoices and full details are in the cars history file.;Underwent body off - nut & bolt restoration in 2018/20.Chassis stripped, repaired where necessary, powder coated. A good example of an early 'Lights behind the Grille' Land Rover fitted with the correct 1.6-litre side-plate engine and just three owners in 72 years.Registered to the first of just three owners on the 30 November 1949Headlights under a mesh grille is a characteristic of early Land RoversThe early Series 1 80-inch Land Rover was fitted with a 1.6-litre side-plate petrol engineRestored in the early 2000s and finished in the correct shade of Bronze Green on the original chassis, now galvanisedFeaturing the correct pull-ring gearbox and a new bulkhead was fitted at the time of the restorationPresented to auction in good order with an odometer reading of 2,125 miles that has naturally gone “round the clock”In the aftermath of World War Two, Rover's chief engineer Maurice Wilks used a "demobbed' Willys Jeep around his farm in Anglesey and was impressed with its abilities. Eventually, it wore out and he was keen to replace it with a British vehicle, however, nothing remotely similar was available. Coincidentally, his brother Spencer, who was Managing Director at Rover, had reached the same conclusion as he struggled to get his Rover 10 to reach the more inaccessible parts of his estate on Islay. It was whilst the brothers were on holiday on their North Wales farm together, that the plan was hatched to produce a light agricultural utility vehicle in the style of Maurice's, fondly remembered, Jeep. They would have no idea that Maurice's resulting design would become an icon and launch a whole new industry sector. The vehicle appeared as the 'Land Rover' in 1948, and proved so popular with the military and the farming fraternity that demand massively outstripped supply. It had an 80 inch wheelbase and a sturdy box section ladder-frame chassis and the open back arrangement with three seats in the front was undoubtedly influenced by the design of the Jeep. As an engineering marvel it can still outstrip its modern counterparts, and the Series I rightly belongs in the Motoring Hall of Fame. Hugely successful globally, dozens of improvements were made throughout the long production run. The 'Holy Grail' for any Land Rover enthusiast is an early Series I identifiable by a number of visual clues including the headlights being behind the grille, no exterior door handles and a ‘side plate' engine. Initially registered on the 30th November 1949 to the first of just three owners, we are told by our vendor, a Land Rover fanatic, that the previous owner had known this Series 1 from new. In the early 2000s, it was restored over the original chassis which was shot-blasted and galvanised, a new bulkhead fitted and finished in the correct shade of Bronze Green. Such was the quality of the restoration that, in 2007, it was featured in the Land Rover Series 1 Club magazine ‘Legend’. Very few pre-1950 Land Rovers have survived, and fewer still have the period correct 1.6-litre ‘side-plate’ petrol engine and pull-ring gearbox still fitted. If we were to compare this Land Rover with an E-Type, it would be akin to the rare and desirable 'flat floor' and whilst we acknowledge that both offer different driving experiences, and values, they are an equal in historical importance. Finished in Deep Bronze Green with a new canvas ‘tilt’ and freshly serviced, it's ready for family jaunts and offered at a very keen estimate.SpecificationMake: LAND ROVERModel: SERIES 1 80"Year: 1949Chassis Number: R06104175Registration Number: KOA 632Transmission: ManualEngine Number: 06104070 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 2125 MilesMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

A superbly engineered ultimate Land Rover, created by the brains behind marque experts 'LOF'.A labour of love turning a 2011 Defender Puma XS into the ultimate performance Land RoverFord Performance 5.0-litre 'Coyote' Gen 2 V8 engine with 450bhp and 550Nm - a far superior V8 installation upgrade than using a Chevrolet LS-engineGalvanised Marsland (OEM) chassis with the V8 mounted in the exact position that the diesel engine was fittedAshcroft Transmissions created a custom, one-of-one, manual 6-speed gearbox, designed and installed to fit to the V8 engine and accept the standard Defender transfer boxLOF EXTREME-spec output shaft, coupled to an upgraded LT230 LR transfer box rebuilt by Winchester Gears, fitted with larger bearings, stronger shafts and an ATB centre differentialRebuilt front & rear axles, new Winchester gears, automatic torque biasing differentials front and back, LOF 6-pot big brake kit and HD driveshaftsFull 'Lucari' interior and other upgrades (aluminium hinges, door handles, etc.)Test proven for some 500 miles, professionally detailed, ceramic coated, plus an MOT inspection was completed by a main dealerFollowing the successful reception of the all-new Land Rover Discovery in 1989, it was decided to give the traditional Land Rover its own name: 'Defender'. Despite, or perhaps because of, being recognisably related to the very first Land Rover of 1948, the Defender retained a steadfastly loyal customer base, indeed, in the UK in 2013 it even managed to out-sell the Range Rover.Big enough for all the family plus a brace of Labradors and luggage in the back, long-wheelbase Defenders remain highly usable, long-term keepers thanks to their practicality and their personality. For decades, the long-wheelbase model has found favour with diverse buyers, from armies and police forces to country hotels and farmers. In more recent times, Defenders have transcended to a new and different level, with tuning companies adapting them into high-performance driving machines, still with all the innate character, but with some startling new additions! The Defender 110 presented here is quite exceptional. Starting life as a 2011 TDCi XS model with the four-cylinder, 2.4-litre Puma unit, this latest engine was coupled to a revised, quieter transfer case and a new six-speed manual gearbox, which allowed a longer top gear for quiet, efficient long-distance cruising.Enter 'LOF' of Leicestershire, a specialist Land Rover manufacturing business, run by a chap whose Land Rover knowledge is quite simply encyclopaedic. Renowned for their engineering prowess, they manufacture and sell superb, uprated clutches, brakes, and other components for Land Rovers. 'Attention to detail' dictate how they manufacture and this ethos we see with this vehicle project.LOF set about creating the ultimate 110, to showcase the best of their products, plus some other choice offerings, going down the route of installing, at the heart of this vehicle, an American V8 engine. Many Land Rover tuners have done this, but to no greater effect than we see here - a more adaptable, sophisticated Ford-based 5.0-litre 'Coyote' Gen 2, V8 engine was utilised. Burbling through an adjustable exhaust value system, it is as tuneful as you would want from such a special engine. Around this, the rest of the vehicle was enhanced with specialist, high-quality products to create a super-powerful, yet very driveable high-performance 4x4. Properly designed, built, tested, and even ceramic coated, this is one hell of a Land Rover. With an amazing specification sheet (full details on request), an exemplary finish and attention to detail, this 110, nicknamed 'The DefStang', offers presence and performance to rival that of the £143,370 G63 'G-Wagon' or indeed Land Rover's own £150,000 Defender Works V8 70th Edition.SpecificationMake: LAND ROVERModel: DEFENDER 110 COYOTE 5.0 V8Year: 2011Chassis Number: SALLDHMS7BA824808Registration Number: V8 VBNTransmission: Manual Engine Number: 101119033556244DTDrive Side: Right-hand DriveMake: RHDInterior Colour: Bespoke Click here for more details and images

A very smart example of the legendary Defender 90 in the popular XS specification and fitted with a galvanised chassis.Supplied new to the first of just two former keepers on 28th September 2007Used on a private estate and then subsequently dry-stored until 2021The 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearboxSpecification includes front electric windows and half-leather seating for fourThe two full seats in the rear are foldable, increasing the rear load bay significantlyFitted with limited edition SVX Anniversary dual tone alloy wheels and LED headlight kitBenefitting from a galvanised chassis and five recently fitted brand new tyresFreshly serviced with an MOT valid until July 2022 and an odometer reading of 48,500 miles (atoc)A good example of the eminently capable Defender 90 with XS trim for use in town or country. An icon for over 68 years, production of Land Rover's Defender ceased in January 2016 with more than two million models built since the original Series 1 arrived in 1948. Never has there been a car that has so captured the imagination of the world. Land Rovers have saved lives, won wars, delivered aid and hope, conveyed Kings and Queens and numerous Popes, ferried injured animals from the lowliest sheep to the proudest lion to safety. The Land Rover has conquered ravines, deserts and snow, broken records and along the way won the hearts of millions. For 2007, the Defender benefitted from a serious revamp with a new common-rail diesel EU4-compliant engine from the Ford Transit, a new six-speed gearbox, new facia, new seats and a heating and ventilation system that actually works. The XS specification from 2007 included electric windows to the front, half-leather seating and a fancier dashboard than standard. Land Rover had acknowledged that perhaps not all Defenders were destined for muddy tracks, rivers and moorland, and those drivers that did have a Labrador as a front-seat companion might find it convenient to open the passenger window at the touch of a button. The Defender 90 in XS specification offered perhaps the best affordable combination of drivability, passenger comfort for four and rear load capacity when required due to the foldable seats. The Defender 90 is also far easier to park than its longer wheelbase sibling, the 110, and the Defender is as popular in town as it is in the country.Supplied new to the first of just two former keepers on 28th September 2007, this Defender 90 XS was used on a large private estate for the first ten years or so before being dried stored until purchased by our vendor, the car’s third owner, on the 21st June 2021. Intended for country pursuits, our vendor swiftly concluded that the Land Rover was “too good” for his intentions and presents the car to auction with a fresh fluid service and five brand new tyres on SVX anniversary dual tone alloy wheels. Greater illumination is provided via the LED headlight kit, which are a welcome bonus compared to the original headlights. The odometer reading is some 48,500 miles at the time of cataloguing.Whilst there are fancier, and substantially more expensive, examples on the market, this unassuming Defender 90 XS offers a multitude of uses on either turf or tarmac at a sensible estimate.SpecificationMake: LAND ROVERModel: DEFENDER 90Year: 2007Chassis Number: SALLDVBS77A743193Registration Number: DY57 WXKClick here for more details and images

From 1988 though, all non-GTI versions left the factory in Clipper trim, with a body kit that featured smooth body-coloured bumpers, wheel arch extensions, and side skirts. There was also a simpler carburettor which nevertheless still gave 90bhp and a top speed of 102mph. This white example was registered in October 1989. Three recorded owners. Fitted with an automatic gearbox, leather interior and electric roof. A new roof was fitted in August this year at a cost of £1,042. 1998 Ford Scorpio Ultima 24V Auto EstateMake: Ford Model: Scorpio Ultima 24V Estate Year: 1998Mileage: 168074VIN: WF0NXXGAGNWY11249Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: R162PRETransmission: automatic In 24-valve Ultima form, this Scorpio was at the top of Ford's executive tree in 1998. The Ultima trim level was the highest one available, with a CD autochanger, climate control, leather seats, walnut veneer dash, cruise control, an automatically dimming mirror and electrically-operated seats as well as a variety of other enhancements over lesser models. The top-of-the-range Cosworth V6 engine gave 207bhp. With most of these flagship models being saloons, estates were comparatively rare. Rather fittingly, given that the Scorpio Ultima 24V could probably be regarded as the Rolls-Royce of Ford's line-up, this 1998 example was initially sold to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Crewe. The V5C is present, showing six former owners. Also in the paperwork file is the original document folder with owner's manual, engine immobilisation guide, audio instructions and service booklet, showing 14 stamps up to March 2011, at 123,358 miles. The MoT is valid until April 2022, and the certificate is included. There are past test certificates from 2016, 2017 and 2019. A check on the online MoT history for this Ford confirms the current recorded mileage of 168,075, in conjunction with the service history. A stack of invoices covers work done to the car up to 2016, including an automatic gearbox rebuild during that year at a cost of £2346 and a new radiator in 2016, at a cost of £387.60. A new battery was fitted in January 2019. The vendor describes the car as 'driving lovely and used daily', and it presents well, inside and out, in its smart metallic maroon shade. Some spares are included.

1993 Volvo 240 SE EstateMake: VolvoModel: 240 SE EstateYear: 1993Mileage: 117867VIN: YV1245273P1962438Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: L528GJOTransmission: manualThis 1993 silver version of Volvo's definitive load-lugger was registered in August 1993, making it one of the last to be built - with the SE tag denoting a Special Equipment runout edition. The vendor believes that these 'last of the lines' were sold to Volvo agents, which may account for one of the three former registered keepers noted on the V5C. The car is a 1986cc fuel-injected model with five-speed manual gearbox, electric windows, electric door mirrors, power steering and heated blue cloth seats. Its odometer reading is 117,867 although the vendor tells us it stopped working in 2012. However, with its regular but limited use since then, he now estimates it's around the 150,000-mile mark. The present vendor has owned the car since January 2008, and there's a full history of all work done since then. These include an alternator repair in November 2020 (£118), a new exhaust, two silencers and two pipes in September 2019 (£243) and a clutch and bearing in August 2017 (£345). The MoT is valid until May 2022; advisories noted were that both headlamp reflectors were slightly defective and there was windscreen damage, albeit not affecting the view. This referred to a one-inch diameter crack low on the nearside. The car is in generally good condition (especially the interior) and drives well. Issues noted include the wires broken at the boot hinge, so the rear wiper, heated rear screen and hatch central locking don't work. There's some missing trim from the rear bumper, although the clips remain. Minor rust is appearing along the bottom of some of the doors as well as at the bottom of the rear offside wheel arch. Inside, the heater fan is noisy, which is presumed to be down to worn bearings meaning the fan is rubbing on the housing. Three pairs of keys are included, as well as a Haynes workshop manual and the radio code. The car is also fitted with a tow bar, for any extra loads that can't be swallowed by its very commodious rear. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 2ND NOVEMBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.
