Rarely do we have the opportunity to offer an early chrome bumper GT in such fine condition.Styled by Pininfarina, the MG B GT arrived in 1965 to be greeted by universal acclaim. First registered on 30/09/2004, M.O.T. until 27/10/2023. Currently showing 89,617 miles, (not warranted correct) but mileage seems to be fully corroborated by the D.V.L.A. MOT history. Appears to perform very powerfully. 27 degrees outside but the air-con cooled the interior quickly at the time of the drive-around. No tow-bar is fitted. 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:47611Freshly restyled for 1961, Cadillac continued the trend towards cleaner, less fussy styling but there was still plenty of glitz and glamour about the latest model line-up. Notable features included a new-look full-width grille, boldly sculptured side mouldings and smaller rear fins. All 1961 Cadillacs rode on a 129.5 wheelbase chassis with just one powertrain option, the 390ci, V8 combined with GM's sophisticated Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Rated at 325hp and fed by a four-barrel Rochester carburettor, the big V8 offered plenty of lazy performance, while power brakes were also standard across the range, retaining the finned rear drums and vacuum-operated parking brake release system introduced the previous season. Lavishly equipped, standard equipment included power steering, an external rear vision mirror, vanity mirror, dual-speed wipers and a choice of no less than eight interior colour combinations. Popular options included power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, power door locking system and six-way power seats. More Americans aspired to own a Cadillac than any other car back in the 1960s and having one parked in the driveway was confirmation you had made it.This imposing Cadillac has been owned by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable vendor since October 2018. Finished in the delightful colour combination of light blue metallic with cream interior, this fabulous car presents well. The paintwork is in good order as is the interior, this car is in good condition given it is 60 years old this year. We are informed that the 6.8 litre (415ci) V8 engine runs well although we are informed the gearbox has a serious oil leak and will require removal and attention. Supplied with a V5C registration document and with summer fast approaching this American classic should prove hugely popular and worth a visit alone.Interested parties should note that the gearbox on this car has a serious oil leak and will require removal in order to repair. We apologise for any mis-representation.

1989 Mercedes-Benz 280 GE Transmission: automaticMileage:123484The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagon, short for Geländewagen, (cross-country vehicle) is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. The G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history. It was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran and offered as a civilian version in 1979. The first major refinements were introduced in 1981, including an automatic transmission, air conditioning, an auxiliary fuel tank, protective headlamp grilles and a cable winch. 1969 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:84446The Triumph TR6 was produced between 1969 and 1976 and, by the time production ended in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. In total 94,619 TR6s were manufactured of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the TR5, but the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission and an optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable feature because it gave drivers close-gearing for spirited driving whilst remaining an excellent touring car for open motorways. It also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15” wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was provided by disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes. This handsome TR6 started life as an export model, leaving for the United States on 9th May 1969. 1972 Triumph GT6 Mk. III Transmission: manualMileage:44021Designed by Giovanni Micheloti, famed for the creation of many Italian exotics such as Ferrari and Maserati, Micheloti first penned the GT4 prototype, a Spitfire 4/Mk. I based GT car in 1963 utilising the Spitfires 1147cc engine. The styling of the car was met with great reviews, however the additional weight associated with the coupé shell meant that plans to put the car into production where shelved. In 1964 Triumph utilised the styling to create glass-fibre moulds which when grafted onto the race developed Spitfire 4/Mk. I led to great success, finishing 13th overall and first in Class at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans. Triumph decided to revisit the GT4 idea and in replacing the under-powered Spitfire 4 engine with the more powerful Triumph Vitesse two litre, six-cylinder engine, the GT6 was born and production of the Mk. I GT6 commenced in July 1966. During the course of the next four years the GT6 received a number of styling changes and mechanical developments, dramatically improving the handling and in October 1970 the GT6 Mk. III was introduced with a total of 13,042 units being built before the end of production in December 1973.Originally sold in August 1972, this sensational matching numbers Triumph GT6 looks utterly resplendent finished in the original Saffron Yellow (code 54) with a contrasting black interior (code 11) and features the glorious two litre straight-six engine which sends power to the rear wheels via the factory optioned four speed 'overdrive' gearbox. Purchased by a previous owner in circa 2012 he set about transforming the GT6 into the show-stopping example we are proudly offering, with works being carried out over a four-year period. The bodywork restoration was entrusted to DMS, Northampton who carried out a complete body-off chassis strip down and body rebuild, followed by a full respray. The paint finish is mirror glass smooth, with a reflection to match and is extended to the underside too which received the additional benefit of correct underbody anti-corrosion protection! Carrying on the works, DMS finished the chassis in Saffron Yellow too, giving a 'cleaner' underbody appearance. All mechanical/electrical components were stripped, checked for wear and either restored or replaced. The engine has been updated to run on unleaded fuel and the car also benefits from an electronic ignition conversion. The interior was completely stripped and then fitted with new seat covers, carpets, roof lining and dashboard, all of which were specialist sourced and to the correct factory specification. Last of all, a Webasto Hollandia tilt/lift-out sunroof was fitted. This is a simply stunning example of an increasingly desirable Triumph and absolutely fit for any collection worldwide.

2012 Land Rover Defender Double Cab Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:20000The original Land Rover Series began production in Solihull in 1948 and until its decades-long production run ended in 2016, more than two million Defenders were produced, becoming a British automotive icon. Since production ceased, the revered model has been in increased demand from both collectors and those willing to use this tough, utilitarian vehicle in the way it was designed for. It was only in 1989, following the introduction of the all-new Land Rover Discovery, that the Defender received its own name. This was not only a marketing exercise; the new Defender received a raft of upgrades, along with a new turbo diesel engine that brought useful increases in power, torque, and fuel economy when compared with the old, normally aspirated diesel it was based on. Often boasting large 'Defender' logos, the Land Rover went through a continuous process of development, gaining disc brakes and power-assisted steering as standard during the 1990s, together with a host of other improvements. This beautiful unmodified Land Rover was originally supplied 28th September 2012. The specification of this double cab includes side steps and a rear pick-up cover, alarm system, rubber mud flaps, under ride protection bar, upgraded steel wheels and new tyres and tow ball with drop plates and electrics. Presented in Keswick Green, this example boasts the three-seat rear bench making this a genuine five-seater with the pick-up rear. Very well maintained with a current MoT test certificate with no advisories, indeed a check online shows us that this car has never had a single advisory which is testament to care of ownership from its two previous keepers and our vendor. A six-speed manual gearbox powers the 2.2 TDCi engine and we are advised this low mileage example drives as good as it looks, it has clearly been a well-cared for example. Supplied with a V5C registration document and recently installed side steps. These robust, go anywhere vehicles have become increasingly desirable in recent years and this great utilitarian vehicle is sure to be one that catches the eye.

1958 Austin Healey 100 / 6 Transmission: manualMileage:2693The Austin Healey 100 was built between 1953 and 1956 by the British Motor Corporation. It was developed by Donald Healey to be produced in-house by Healey's small car company in Warwick and based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals. Healey built a single 'Healey Hundred' for the 1952 London Motor Show and the design impressed Leonard Lord, Managing Director of Austin, so much that a deal was struck with Healey to build it in quantity at Austin's Longbridge factory. The car was renamed the Austin Healey 100. The '100' name comes from Donald Healey who selected the name from the car's ability to reach 100mph as opposed to the Austin Healey 3000 which is named for its 3000cc engine. The final '100' models, 1956's 'BN4' (2+2 seats) and 1958's 'BN6' (two seats) were six-cylinder 100/6 cars. To make room for the occasional seats the wheelbase was increased by two inches. The bonnet had a built-in air scoop and the windscreen no longer folded down.Subject to a full mechanical and bodywork restoration this stunning example was manufactured in 1958. Presented beautifully in green coachwork with a newly trimmed interior in contrasting blood red Nappa leather with new wool carpets and new tonneau cover. Boasting a manual gearbox, this desirable four-seater is UK registered, and the original engine has been uprated and bored out to 3.0 litre, this coupled to a new wiring loom, rebuilt carburettors and a lightened and balanced flywheel, new engine mounts and clutch. The cooling has been uprated with a new aluminium radiator, new fan and new water pump. The fittings are all zinc or stainless steel in the engine bay and the car now also benefits from electronic ignition and disc brakes. A look underneath also gives an indication of the extent of the restoration for what is a great looking car. The most desirable model with the most desirable engine, this example will deliver many more years of driving pleasure with its classic good looks and strong performance this example looks fabulous.

1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT Transmission: manualMileage:25158The Dino, named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, was a brand for V6 engined Ferraris and the project that Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari worked on before he died tragically of muscular dystrophy at just 24 years old. In order to homologate Ferrari's Formula Two entry in 1966, the FIA requested that 500 production cars were produced using the same V6 unit as the race car. The Fiat Dino was born using the two-litre V6 Ferrari unit which was later used in the early 206GT versions of the Dino. Ferrari used the mid-engined configuration that was working well for them in sports car racing for the new Dino and the prototype 206S was shown at the 1966 Turin show. The car drew a positive response and Ferrari put the car into production, making it the first mid-engined production Ferrari. A 2.4 litre version on a longer wheelbase, the 246GT, replaced the Dino 206 in late 1969. The beauty of a mid-engined sports car is the handling, as the improved centre of gravity lends itself to better road holding. A Ferrari Dino has great cornering ability and is an enormously fun car to drive.Originally registered to Mr. P. Thorpe in Woking, Surrey on 7th January 1972 and purchased by the current vendor in May 1990. This car was in a dismantled and poor condition when purchased 33 years ago, with the body having been removed from the chassis in order to deal with a number of issues including corrosion. The vendor at the time agreed to carry out certain works on the car including the bodywork issues and he re-united the body with the chassis. This was progress and at last the current owner had a rolling chassis to transport, along with a vast number of parts, including the engine, gearbox and ancillaries, interior, brakes and glass. Fortunately, the vendor's brother was a former Formula 1 mechanic and between them they spent three years putting the car back together, with the vendor taking care of the interior trim. Originally silver, the car was repainted in Ferrari Rosso Rubino Metallizato (Ruby Red metallic) and was MoT'd in July 1994 showing a mileage of 23,120 at the time. Now displaying a mileage of 25,158, thus this Ferrari has covered 2,038 miles in 33 years. Major work was carried out in October 2008 which included a partial engine rebuild, the mileage being 24,214 at the time.  There is room for sympathetic improvements to be made on this right hand drive Dino 246 GT, which now shows age-related wear and tear. We are advised that the lighting switch on the steering column is a little temperamental. A large quantity of documents and invoices accompanies this Ferrari. Due to the fact that the car has been off the road for a number of years throughout its life, it is thought the mileage of 25,158 could well be correct, although not warranted. It is widely agreed that the Ferrari Dino is one of the best-handling and most gratifying automobiles of the early 1970s; it is certainly one of the most attractive, delicately balanced designs ever produced by the masters at Pininfarina.

1985 Lotus Excel S.E. Transmission: manualMileage:98384Launched in October 1982, Toyota engaged Lotus to assist with engineering work on the  Supra. During this period, Toyota became a major shareholder in Lotus, later giving up their holding when  General Motors  purchased Lotus. Part of the deal between Lotus and Toyota included the use of many Toyota mechanical components in Lotus' cars. The original Excel (aka the Eclat Excel) used the  W58 manual transmission, driveshafts, rear differential, 14x7  inch alloy wheels, and door handles from the Supra Mk. II, which was made from 1982 to 1986. The engine was the familiar all aluminium,  DOHC  2.2  L  Lotus 912  slant-4 engine used in the  Lotus Esprit  S3.Registered on 8th August 1985 this Lotus presents very well in red with a cream leather interior. The significant history folder confirms the engine has been rebuilt and clearly this has been a very well looked after example, even the often troublesome pop-up headlamps work as they should. Supplied with a V5C registration document and current MoT test certificate, valid until 1st November 2023, this Lotus is described as driving with no known faults. The 2174cc engine runs smoothly and efficiently and the gearbox operates as it should. These stylish sportscars are great fun to drive and this is no exception when 'on song'. Offered for sale without reserve.Guide £11,000-14,000

1966 Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Coupé (W111) Transmission: automaticMileage:75000The 50s was the decade of the ponton but these were now feeling dated, Paul Bracq was subsequently drafted in to revamp the styling of the range and the change was immediate. The rear-end treatment was far more stylish and streamlined with the W111 coupés, as shown here, demonstrating a beautiful pillarless treatment once the windows were down. The body shell overall benefited from a lowered roof and waistline with an increased glass area creating a far 'airier' feel. Some cars have a timeless quality about them which can be seen at a glance. The 250SE coupe is one of them and as someone wiser than me once said, €œQuality is remembered long after the purchase price is forgotten €.  Originally registered in Australia It was then brought over in 2014 and sold to the current owner in the UK. Overall, the car presents in superb condition presented, as it is, in Milano Brown with new carpets and dash board. The engine and automatic gearbox have both been rebuilt with rebuilt brakes, discs and pads all-round. The shock absorbers are now new Bilsteins and the paintwork is in superb condition. In fact, the chrome work, wheel rims and glass are all in excellent condition throughout. Supplied with a light service and full 12 month MoT test certificate, the quality of this example is indisputable and if you're looking for what could only be described as a museum quality example then look no further.

1974 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:123000The Triumph TR6 was produced between 1969 and 1976 and, by the time production ended in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. It also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was provided by disc brakes at the front and rear drum brakes.First registered on 4th April 1974 to a Mr. Pickering from Alnwick, this beautiful Mimosa Yellow TR6 was a UK home market supplied vehicle, which included the overdrive gearbox option from new. Purchased in 2006 by a Mr. Webster in Derby who ran the car until he began what developed into a comprehensive bodywork, engine and chassis restoration spanning several years. When the current owner, in Buckinghamshire, purchased the car in 2017 the expenditure didn't stop there. They have continued the sympathetic restoration which has included LED bulbs, re-chromed bumpers, ceramic coated exhaust manifold, complete new interior/door card, new seats, fuel pump and fuel line, electronic ignition, polyurethane bushes, high torque starter, refurbished inlet manifold and injectors, Oak Burr dash and wood door cappings and tonneau cover.Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, this MoT exempt sportscar is a genuine, privately owned, honest and useable classic. This TR6 represents fabulous value for money and would make an ideal addition to any collection or a perfect starting place for any classic car enthusiast. This Triumph has been garaged and exercised regularly, various bills of maintenance work, old MoT test certificates and many receipts can be found in the history file which includes a full service history until 57,775 miles, all stamped in the Triumph Passport book.

1976 Lamborghini Urraco P300 Transmission: manualMileage:63515In accordance with their usual practice of naming their cars after fighting bulls, it was fitting that this new, junior, V8 Lamborghini was named 'Urraco' which approximately translates as 'little bull'. Its 2+2 configuration hinted at Lamborghini's grand touring roots and its distinctive styling by Gandini displays a family likeness to the fabulous Countach. The V8 engine, however, was a departure from the traditional V12 and may have been indicative of Lamborghini's decision to have a look at a different market where the Porsche 911 and Ferrari Dino 246 currently reigned supreme. The most developed Urraco was the P300, of which approximately 205 were made between 1975 and 1979. The P300's engine had a larger stroke than the P250, upping displacement to 2,996cc and providing 265bhp at 7,800rpm. The P300's is a considerable step up from the P250 with its chain driven, quad cam engine proving both more powerful and robust, as well as the addition of a brake servo ensuring the car's stopping ability matched its improved performance.First registered on 1st May 1976, this stunning stainless steel bumpered example presents beautifully in its metallic grey paintwork with tan interior. Sitting on a set of incredibly rare, new old stock Campagnolo magnesium wheels, this car is unusual in that the wheel's centre caps are clipped in, a feature not possible when these types of wheels have been refurbished, (the centre caps are then usually glued back in). Details like this are a clue as to the quality of the car. Maintained for some time by the very well reputed Lamborghini specialists Colin Clarke Engineering, the car has had very light use by the vendor who has been keen to maintain its beautiful condition. Anything that the car has required has been done by Colin Clarke Engineering and the vendor reports the car to run and drive extremely well. An example of this is that Colin Clarke removed the engine and rebuilt the gearbox as well as checking the clutch in September 2021 at a cost of £10,146. The original four spoke steering wheel remains and the interior was re-upholstered to a high standard in tan leather, in 2014, at a cost of £6,600. Complementing the new interior, the then owner is reported to have had the car repainted at around the same time. All the relevant badges and stainless steel trim are present, even the original Blaupunkt radio cassette player is in situ, making this a rare, arguably concours condition example of these handsome 1970's Italian sportscars.Supplied with a V5C registration document and file of receipts amongst other information. With only three former keepers in the UK since its registration in the UK in 1990, this excellent example is ready to be shown off and hold its own at any prestigious event as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the esteemed Lamborghini brand.

1961 Bedford J0 Pick-up Transmission: automaticMileage:25072Bedford Vehicles, usually shortened to just Bedford, were produced by Vauxhall Motors which was ultimately owned by General Motors. Established in 1930 and constructing commercial vehicles, Bedford Vehicles was a leading international truck brand, with substantial export sales of light, medium, and heavy trucks throughout the world. It was GM Europe's most profitable venture for several years. Perhaps the major event of the 1950's, was the transfer of all non-car based commercial vehicle manufacture to the former Vauxhall shadow factory at Boscombe Road, Dunstable. Bedford's Dunstable plant, dating originally from 1942, was extensively rebuilt and extended between 1955 and 1957 when all production lines were said to be over a mile long. Subsequently, all commercial vehicle manufacture would be concentrated here with only vans and car-based commercials remaining at the Luton plant. The Bedford TJ was first manufactured in 1958 and was an updated version of the TD range. The TJ was available in the UK up until 1975, after 1975 it was manufactured only for export. Production continued until 1986, after that it was manufactured by AWD into the early 1990s. Petrol and diesel engines were available, the lightest (J0 designation) could be specified with the 2.6 litre straight-six petrol engine from the Vauxhall Cresta. TJs were not large sellers within the UK, it is thought some 5,000 J0's were manufactured with a mere 20 or so remaining in the UK.The vendor has owned this vehicle for the last seven years and has mainly just kept the truck on display since purchasing it, as it is in such exceptional condition. The previous owner spent five years collecting all of the parts needed to complete a total nut and bolt restoration, his sole aim was to build the best Bedford J0 available anywhere in the world and in our opinion, he achieved his objective comfortably. Originally built at a time when manufacturing standards could be a little inconsistent, this Bedford has been painstakingly dismantled, painted, chromed and trimmed in superb quality leather. The cab was a genuine J0 new old stock unit as are many other parts fitted to this magnificent truck. The mileage of 25,000 is thought to be genuine and we can confirm all numbers match. The previous owner had almost an encyclopaedic knowledge when it comes to Bedford J0 trucks and his enthusiasm was infectious when talking about it. The silver paintwork is of a superb standard, except for one blemish which was picked up whilst at a show, on the side of the load bed, and would not look out of place on a Rolls-Royce. The red leather trim and Wilton carpets, together with ample chrome work combine to make this Bedford a striking vehicle, the quality of which you are unlikely to see again on such a vehicle. During the restoration, the emphasis was to retain the original features, improving as required, this appears to have been a success. The 2,600cc engine runs exceptionally well and the truck retains its original three-speed gearbox. Potential buyers are recommended to view this truck in person to confirm for themselves the quality of workmanship.

1972 Volkswagen Beach Buggy 1600 GT Transmission: manualMileage:48149The 1972 Volkswagen Beach Buggy 1600 GT is a fun and iconic vehicle that has become a classic in its own right. It was based on the Volkswagen Beetle chassis and featured a fiberglass body designed to look like a dune buggy. It was powered by a 1.6 litre, air-cooled, four-cylinder engine that produced 60 horsepower and 80 lb-ft of torque and had a four-speed manual transmission. The front suspension consisted of a torsion bar setup with trailing arms, while the rear used swing axles with spring plates and had four-wheel drum brakes. This great example was painted with an epoxy basecoat primer and finished in Pearl Orange which is unblemished and presents beautifully and clear lacquer, it is fitted to a fully restored 1972 chassis (new floors also), blasted, painted and fully Waxoyled. Using swing arm rear suspension, original wide wheels and has drum brakes all round. All new suspension fully rebuilt, blasted and painted with all new German components and new wiring loom. Fully rebuilt steering system, including all joints and dampers. The gearbox was rebuilt, all linkages, new wheel bearings and rebuilt hubs all round. A standard cable operated speedo was fitted and aerospace specification switches for all electrics including Bosch 12volt generator and new Bosch coil and leads. An additional high intensity light is fitted to the dash to display fanbelt failure or generator failure. Its 1600cc twin port engine has recently been rebuilt and it is fitted with Dellorto carburettors. This fabulous Buggy was built to replicate the very earliest buggies in terms of simplicity. The history file contains many invoices with recent and historic papers of built parts and maintenance. With its open-air design, with no roof or doors and also featuring two bucket seats and a small dashboard with basic instrumentation it looks superb and is one of the best we have seen. It is fun to drive and perfect for cruising along the beach or on country roads. Its unique design and simple mechanicals make it a fun and affordable classic car to own and drive. Fantastic!

1980 Ford Escort RS2000 Transmission: manualMileage:48419The squarer-styled Escort Mk. II version appeared in January 1975 with the first production models having rolled off the production lines on 2nd December 1974. Unlike the first Escort (which was developed by Ford of Britain), the second generation was developed jointly between the UK and Ford of Germany. Codenamed 'Brenda' during its development, it had the same mechanical configuration as the Mk. I Escort. The estate and van versions used the same panelwork as the Mk. I but with the Mk. II front end and interior. The car used a revised underbody which had in fact been introduced as a running change during the last six months of the life of the Mk. I. The car was a success with just four body styles by competing in many different market niches where rival manufacturers had multiple models. The 'L' and 'GL' models were in the mainstream purchased by the private sector, the 'Sport', 'RS Mexico' and 'RS2000' in the performance market; the 'Ghia' for an untapped small car luxury sector and 'base' models for the fleet market. During the second half of the 1970s, the Escort continued to prove hugely popular with buyers in Britain. Production, after an incredibly popular model run, ended in Britain in August 1980 with other countries following soon after. This absolutely superb example of this highly sought-after British classic is presented in Salmon Pink (Signal Red 80) with chocolate brown cloth interior. We are informed by the vendor that the mileage is genuine at 48,000 and he is the fourth keeper from new. This car was on show in a Vauxhall dealership showroom for 19 years and recommissioned in 2016. The car has never been welded and all panels are original. It sits on correctly refurbished four-spoke RS alloys and new Pirelli CN36 tyres (including spare), original style steel exhaust system fitted and in the last six months, he has replaced a faulty lamination ignition with a new old stock lamination ignition system. The car has a new battery, three year ceramic coating treatment and its only been run on Esso synergy fuel (less ethanol) and runs beautifully we are told. The glass sunroof was replaced with a full length and fully restored Webasto sunroof and the vinyl roof covering was also renewed, as was its headliner. The original four-speed gearbox has been changed/upgraded to a fully rebuilt 2.8 type five-speed, correctly adapted and fitted with the same gear ratios as standard but plus fifth! A GS classics quick shift and cross member also fitted to fit the RS tunnel with no cutting. This Escort wants for nothing and is in fabulous condition. A rare Ford which is fast gaining pace in the collector's eye!

2004 Porsche 911 / 996 Carrera 4S Transmission: automaticMileage:122977The Porsche 911/996 Carrera 4S is fast becoming one of the most desirable 996 models, given its wide turbo body looks and still remaining very affordable in the modern classic world. It offers a thrilling driving experience and is powered by 3.6 litre flat-six engine, producing a highly respectable 316bhp. This engine was paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic. The car was also fitted with an all-wheel drive system, giving it excellent traction and handling in any conditions. The 996 Carrera 4S has a top speed of 174mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in its class. This example was optioned from new with the Tiptronic gearbox, making it a fine package for long distance cruising, or city commuting. The car has a comprehensive service history, with 12 stamps in the service book, all being from Porsche main agents until 2012 at 91,049 miles. Following that, the servicing has been carried out by Porsche specialists JMG Porsche and Tower Porsche, with one more visit to Porsche Mid Sussex in 2016 at 108,952 miles. The most recent service was carried out by Tower Porsche in March 2023 at 122,576 miles. The car presents in Arctic Silver, which still looks in great condition. The interior also looks excellent with the seat bolsters still in very good shape and the overall impression is of a car which has been in caring ownership throughout its life. Our vendor had a very detailed inspection carried out prior to purchasing the car in November 2021, which can be viewed upon request as a PDF or indeed read through it in the history file. Our vendor also went to the trouble of fitting a Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB 7 € touch screen entertainment system, which offers Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and DAB radio, bringing the car up to modern day standards. The car was also fitted with upgraded Alpine speakers, which are an improvement over the ageing original items.

Lot 206

1972 Maserati Indy (4.7 litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:62319Manufactured in 1972, this wonderful 4.7 litre Maserati Indy is fitted with the optional automatic gearbox and is an original right hand drive example. Previously restored by its current owner between 2008 and 2018, this Indy was treated to huge amounts of work to the body including cutting out and completely replacing the inner and outer sills, as to the front floor sections. There were also repairs to the A posts and lower sections of the door skins. Some minor welding was also required to the front of the bonnet amongst other areas. A bare metal respray followed and the Maserati was finished in its original colour combination of red coachwork with a tan interior. Delving back further into the car's history it reveals an engine and gearbox rebuild was completed in the early 1990's (circa 6,000 miles ago). Our vendor has maintained the car where necessary having the underside treated with a light covering of underseal to prevent any rusting, also replaced was the sound deadening and new carpets were fitted. New Inertia reel seatbelts were installed at the same time and the radio has been replaced with a modern stereo system. More recently the carburettors were rebuilt and tuned, and the air conditioning was also rebuilt and re-gassed. Beneath the boot floor sits a full-size spare wheel and the battery, which was replaced last year. An isolator switch is also fitted. The paint finish remains in good condition throughout although there are some age-related blemishes as one would expect. The engine bay looks to have been well maintained and the interior is in very good order having recently been re-connollised.Accompanying the Maserati is a sizeable history file including a photographic record of the bodywork restoration. Old MoT test certificates abound, that would seem to confirm that the recorded mileage is indeed genuine. Sundry invoices, the Maserati driver's manual and the current V5C registration document. Used regularly by the current vendor, this example is ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian in the coming summer months.

1990 Volkswagen Golf Custom Restomod Transmission: manualMileage:Launched in 1974, the Golf represented a complete break with Volkswagen tradition yet it would prove as big a sales success as its Beetle predecessor. The GTi became one of the great icons of modern motoring, giving rise to an entirely new class of sporting saloon - the 'hot hatch' - in the process. The second generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk. I Golf, was launched in Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1983.  This one-off custom-built Mk. II Golf started life as a cherished Mk. II Gold Driver when our vendor purchased in 2016. A Volkswagen fan and having always wanted the original GTi the initial project was to make a fast road show car with a budget which swiftly doubled when he installed the help of renowned specialists JTech. Presented in stunning unmarked white paintwork with the inside painted in dove grey to match the engine bay, money has been no object in this restoration and subsequent customisation. The restoration was indeed 'nut and bolt' and must be seen to be appreciated but the list of modifications thereafter reads as a list of the finest upgrades. The engine was swapped for a 1.8 litre 240bhp 20V Turbo engine with an IX03 Turbo all fully rebuild by JTexh coupled to a Fabia RS gearbox and Quaife limited slip Diff. Further engine modifications include forced air induction and a Mocal oil cooler, all topped off with a full custom exhaust system. Sitting on Compomotive IMOS alloy wheels with KONi Coilovers all fully polybushed, the car was then treated to a full under body Waxoil treatment and a full custom roll cage. There are many more items and therefore viewing is highly recommended. The car has never been on a track and been a real show pony but recently serviced and treated to an MoT test certificate valid until April 2024 with unsurprisingly no advisories. This is a fabulous opportunity to relive your youth but also purchase one of the best engineered custom cars we have seen at a fraction of the cost to build and restore, just wait for Vicki Butler-Henderson to get her hands on it during auction week!

1974 Aston Martin V8 Saloon Series III Transmission: automaticMileage:  Completely hand-built and requiring over 1,200 man-hours to finish, these motorcars are every bit the gentleman's sporting tourer. Although the DBS was the pre-curser, it shared the same V8 engine until the six cylinder engine option version was phased out in 1972. It benefited, though, from heavier, ventilated disc-brakes, air however -conditioning, fatter tyres and a new and stronger ZF gearbox. With a capacity of 5.3 litres, it was still powerful enough to propel it to over 150mph, heady even by today's standards. The engine switched back from fuel injection to carburettors in 1973 with the advent of the series III model, also distinguishable by the taller bonnet scoop to accommodate four twin-choke (two-barrel)  Weber  carburettors.Originally purchased in 2018 from Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell for the princely sum of £80,000, this Kentucky Blue V8 was scheduled to be used for regularity rallies at various events across Europe. With the vendor living in both London and Switzerland, it suited him well. The car was then sent to Goldsmith & Young Ltd, Aston Martin specialists focusing specifically on the preparation, tuning and racing/performance specification of the marque.Numerous invoices show the extensive works undertaken during the extraction and complete rebuild of the engine and gearbox rebuild increasing the capacity to 5.7 litres as well as preparation/refurbishment of the engine bay prior to re-installation and fitment. A modern Fenair air-conditioning unit was also supplied and fitted and both front and rear windscreens were extracted to ensure a sufficient seal. Numerous miscellaneous electrical issues have been adjusted including window switches, fans, new boot springs, new heater piping behind dashboard and the re-fit of door glass and runners. Various trim work was also undertaken with seats out, repairs and new boot carpeting. In fact, no expense has been spared in the preparation of this car which makes it now extremely reliable. Additionally, fire extinguishers have been supplied and fitted, contrasting red towing eye, for use, most recently, in the Gstaad Palace Challenge in 2020. More recently, it went back to Goldsmith & Young for a brake upgrade, both front discs and calipers were removed with a new set of AP units fitted as well as a brake slave cylinder, wheel bearings, coils and HT leads. The invoices total an eye-watering £53,884 on upgrades alone. The vendor is clearly serious about the quality he expects from his motor cars and the next owner will be very well placed to take advantage of an Aston Martin, complete with FIVA registration, where quality has been at the forefront of its preparation.

1961 Lotus Elite (Type 14) Series 2 Transmission: manualMileage:65779The  incomparable Colin Chapman re-wrote the rulebook with many of his sports and racing cars. His focus though, was always weight. Combined with body-stylist and friend, Peter Kiran-Taylor in 1956, they developed the Lotus Elite. New in so many ways, but primarily  as a lighter-weight car, with  much  of the stressed chassis as fibreglass (GRP)  with  just a small amount of the load-bearing structure made of steel  to support  the famously spirited Coventry Climax engine. The Type II Elite Coupé proved a wonderfully agile driver's car, suitable for high-performance use on both road and track. The Bristol-bodied Elites were lighter and more robust than their Maximar predecessors and the Kiran-Taylor body form, fine-tuned by aerodynamicist Frank Costin, contributed to the car's low claimed drag coefficient of just 0.29.Although production finished for these cars in 1963, this example  was registered in 1965 and originally sold to a Mr. J. Cummings. It was the vendor who originally had an Elite in his youth and, despite a break where work and family took over, the hankering  for an Elite  never lost him.  A  very  competent trained engineer,  he eventually  found  a restoration project which, once purchased, was recovered back to Cornwall and stripped down. The bodywork was not too bad although the front subframe needed work. Indeed, a new one was obtained from Miles and Scott Bader followed by a Polyester powder coating and two coats of filler/primer and four coats of polyurethane acrylic finish applied to the entire car, including the engine bay and dash panel (although some attention would be required to now bring it back to showroom condition). The doors and windows have all been re-hung including all fixings and associated mechanisms. New front and rear screens and rubbers were also re-fitted as well as seals all the way round.Suspension units, front and rear, were also stripped and rebuilt with new bearings and bushes with 14 € wheels replaced with 15 € polished chrome wire wheels with 155x15 Firestone rubber all round. The brakes were completely rebuilt as expected with new callipers, pistons, seals, pads and hoses/pipework fitted to all four corners. After an oil pressure drop-off at 55,000 miles, the engine was stripped back and crank reground to -0.010 € with a new big-end and main shells. New cylinder liners were fitted with new piston rings as well as an adapter plate modified to take a conventional lip seal. A new timing chain has been installed with re-cut cylinder head-valve seats and re-ground inlet and exhaust valves.  The front and rear prop shaft universal joints have been re-built alongside a new crown wheel fitted with pinion bearings and half shaft bearings and differential mountings. A new clutch centre plate fitted with master and slave clutch cylinders was renewed in 1998 with a new diaphragm clutch cover fitted in 2002. According to the Elite World Register, based on the gearbox shift lever, it appears to have a MG Magnette gearbox, a not-unusual upgrade back in the 1960's, as are the twin Weber carburettors. The radiator has been flushed, tested and repainted with new hoses, thermostat and clips. A  new stainless-steel fuel tank is now fitted with all new stainless steel, armoured/braid PTFE fuel hoses running throughout. A completely new wiring loom is fitted with new solenoid, starter and dynamo brushes all replaced as necessary with all instruments checked. A new battery has been installed, complete with isolating switch. The exhaust system is now a stainless-steel unit with lugs bonded into the body. New silencers are now also fitted with replaced manifold studs. No expense has been spared with the interior as well;  all the seats and trim have been re-recovered, a new carpet set fitted,  plus  new high-specification, four- point seat belts fitted with reinforced mounting points. Underneath the seats, the slide mechanisms have been stripped and re-plated, the dash panel stripped and re-painted and the boot area re-trimmed and carpeted. The  car's comprehensive paperwork is extensive and is  provided in  a huge 64 litre plastic storage box. This includes a file of service parts, a Type 14 handbook, 'Lotus, the early years' by Peter Ross, a workshop manual file, a Lotus Club information file and 1974 register.  In addition, many Lotus Club magazines, two folders of Elite clippings and an extensive file relating to this car in particular. Finally, and interestingly, a boxed book entitled 'Lotus Elite, Racing Car for the Road' by Dennis Ortenburger. This is signed by the author on an actual 'chassis plate' inside the flyleaf alongside the actual chassis number, 1558.

1989 BMW 325i Transmission: manualMileage:54780The BMW 3-Series has been manufactured since May 1975. The E30 was sold from 1982 to 1991 in saloon form and then until 1993 in convertible format. Both four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol engines were used with a six-cylinder diesel added in 1985. In 1987, the first all-wheel drive 3-Series was produced called the 325iX. The E30's introductory price was nearly double that of the E21 just seven years earlier. Initially released as a two-door coupé, the four-door saloon body style was added to the 3-Series line up in 1984.This very collectable and desirable three-door 325i is presented in black with a grey trim. It was owned and cherished by the same family for some two decades passing from the dealer to the mother and son before our vendor purchased the car due to a bereavement in 2020 and reconditioned. Supplied with the factory manual gearbox, this example boasts just under 55,000 miles from new.

1997 BMW 520i Transmission: automaticMileage:17000The BMW E39 is the fourth generation of the BMW 5 Series range of executive cars, which was manufactured from 1995 to 2004. It was launched in the saloon body style, with the estate body style (marketed as 'Touring') introduced in 1996. The E39 was replaced by the E60 5 Series in 2003 and E39 Touring models remained in production until May 2004. The proportion of chassis components using aluminium significantly increased for the E39, and it was the first 5 Series to use aluminium for all major components in the front suspension or any in the rear. It was also the first 5 Series where a four-cylinder diesel engine was available. This beautifully presented 520i is offered in blue and complemented by a full grey trim with the usual BMW refinements. 1998 Mercedes-Benz CL600 Transmission: automaticMileage:85200The CL-Class is the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz car range. It continued to follow the same development cycle as the S-Class though riding on a shorter wheelbase and offered with only the higher-output powertrains. It was the first Mercedes to feature Active Body Control, Bi-Xenon headlights and, on the early V12 models it employed Active Cylinder Control. This shut down one bank of cylinders under light engine loads enabling it to achieve better fuel economy than the V8 CL500. Not bad for a car with a six litre V12 developing 367bhp and yielding a Soyuz-launching 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds. It is as a Grand Tourer that this model is primarily designed for though. With more rear seat space than many executive saloons, a huge boot and a truly cosseting driving environment, the CL is one of the most soothing cars you could hope to take on a long trip. The performance is remarkable and the turbine-smooth V12 is, frankly, epic.Originally registered on 25th October 1998, this Mercedes-Benz is in very good condition and is finished in dark blue coachwork over a two tone grey interior. The V12 engine burst into life when requested and ran exceedingly quietly and smoothly. The automatic gearbox offers seamless gear changes resulting in this being a car of supreme comfort to drive and excellent performance. This is possibly the nicest example we have seen. The paintwork retains a deep shine and the interior is excellent. The wheels are also in good order bar the odd blemish commensurate with the cars age. Supplied with its original Mercedes book pack with service book including a comprehensive Mercedes main dealer and Mercedes specialist service record with 13 stamps to show. Various old MoT records are also present as well as many sundry bills including a recent invoice of circa £1,000 for a new radiator, a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 10th January 2024, this Mercedes-Benz CL600 is superb and is offered for sale without reserve and also comes complete with its private registration number 'P88 CAN'. This could well prove to be a shrewd purchase.

2005 MG ZT Estate Transmission: manualMileage:63444In 2001, three years after the launch of the Rover 75, and less than a year after the demerger of MG Rover from BMW, the MG ZT and MG ZT-T were launched. During the cars' development, the models were codenamed X10 and X11, for the saloon and estate versions, respectively. The basic shape and styling of the MG ZT remained the same as for the Rover 75 but with changes to the front bumper, now with an integrated grille, and detail alterations including colour coding of the chromed waistline, a new boot lid plinth, and different alloy wheels and tyres sizes. During the first few months of 2004, MG Rover facelifted the design of the ZT and ZT-T to a less retro look, at the same time as the Rover 75 received a facelift. This didn't feature much in the way of mechanical differences to the ZT, most changes were merely aesthetic. The main changes to the car included the replacement of the twin headlamps, with a new, clear single headlamp unit. Between 2003 and 2006 the top of the ZT range, and the rarest, was rear wheel drive and powered by the Ford 4601cc V8 engine giving 300bhp, 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.This rare MG ZT is best described as a 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. A relatively unassuming vehicle from the outside, with the only visible feature being the large bore exhausts. However, start the engine and suddenly you become aware of the Ford Mustang 4.6 litre V8 under the bonnet. This is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox making this a true drivers car and one to really enjoy on the open road. Performance is put at 260bhp and 407NM of torque. The interior is trimmed in black leatherette and cloth seats with electric windows, electric mirrors and digital climate control with air conditioning. Showing just 63,444 miles on the odometer, the previous owner fitted a bespoke (and very expensive)  stainless steel  exhaust system with sports cats and central silencer box, coupled to an OE back-box, helping  unleash a little more sound of the American dream. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2023, together with the original book pack and a collection of invoices. This stylish MG estate is both a capable load carrier and a truly exciting car to drive. These were built in relatively small numbers, it is thought less than 200 were manufactured, thus this could well prove to be a fine investment.Guide £8,000- £11,000

1995 Jaguar Sovereign (3.2 litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:75000The Jaguar XJ (X300) series was manufactured between 1994 and 1997. It was the first XJ produced entirely under Ford ownership and can be considered an evolution of the outgoing XJ40 generation. Like all previous XJ generations, it features the Jaguar independent rear suspension arrangement. The design of the X300 placed emphasis on improved build quality, improved reliability and a return to traditional Jaguar styling elements. At the car's launch in October 1994 at the Paris Motor Show, Jaguar marketing material made use of the phrase 'New Series XJ' to describe the X300 models. The X300 series represented the result of a £200 million facilities renewal program by Ford. The program introduced state-of-the-art automated body welding robots manufactured by Nissan and was intended to show the future direction of the British auto industry. To honour Jaguar's achievements, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Browns Lane factory in December 1994 and ordered a British Racing Green X305 Daimler Double Six for her personal use. This was the Queen's second visit to Jaguar's Coventry factory since 1956.This four litre Jaguar Sovereign has only covered 75,000 miles from new and was first registered on 1st August 1995. Finished in Kingfisher Blue coachwork with full leather interior. Our vendor has owned this automatic gearbox example since 2018 and it is supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate which expires in November 2023. A car that was a favourite of CEO's and the Royal family alike, these are sure to be future classic.Guide Price £4,000- £6,000
