Crossed Union flags within wreath, having globe crowned bugle and anchor to the centre and crossed swords under the wreath. All on scarlet cloth backing. Very good example overall.

Victorian Royal Marines Light Infantry Officers Home Service Helmet Plate, crowned eight pointed star back plate with laurel wreath having anchor to lower section and scroll with “GIBRALTAR” to the top, strap having voided motto “PER MARE PER TERRAM” on blue enamel backing, centre of circlet silvered globe and small silvered light infantry bugle to the bottom. Complete with three lug fittings to the reverse.

Contained in its plated steel scabbard with two loose hanging rings. Loss of much of plating to exterior.

G. BAKER ON PROMOTION MARCH 1893, regulation plated Gothic hilt incorporating a crowned strung bugle horn, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its engraved plated mounted leather scabbard.

Runkel, Solingen, copper gilt half basket hilt with D-shaped guard supported by two scrolling side bars, these supporting a strung bugle horn within an oval frame, bold lion's head pommel, wire bound ribbed ivory grip, contained in its copper gilt mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount dot punched with details for Thurkle's No. 15 New Street Fetter Lane.

A Vic 1827 pattern Rifle Volunteer officer’s sword, plated blade 32½”, etched on one side with crown, “Rifle Volunteers” wreath and crossed flags, and on the other crown, strung bugle, wreath and crossed flags, in plain panels, regulation triple bar steel hilt, with sideloop, incorporating crowned strung bugle, forward sloping stepped pommel, plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, with silvered lace (worn) knot, in a steel scabbard with 2 rings (some dents and pitting). Sword GC (a litle wear to plating)
An Edward VII officer’s sword of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), straight, fullered blade 32½”, by McClyment Dewar & Co, 74 Miller St, Glasgow, etched on one side with crowned “ERVII” cypher and on the other with crown, blank escutcheon and strung bugle, within scrolled panels, regulation plated steel hilt, the pierced guard incorporating nicely engraved crowned strung bugle, rounded pommel, chequered backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard (surface rust patches overall), with 2 rings. GC, the blade very good and retaining virtually all original finish (surface rust to inside of guard and pommel).
