Two Derby biscuit porcelain figure groups c.1775, one of three putti seated on a rocky base around an oak tree, one playing the lute, another holding a basket of flowers, the last with a dog, the other of four putti wearing hats, similarly arranged around a tree, with a dog, a hunting horn, a bird cage and a bugle, incised marks and numbers 252 and 251 respectively. some damages, 27cm max. (2) Provenance: the Cordwent Collection.
An ice blue-chiffon couture flapper dress, circa 1928, un-labelled, studded with rhinestones and a shimmer of silver beads, deep beaded fringes to the skirt, T-bar back straps, bust 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Faint perspiration stains at underarms, right shoulder straps need strengthening and back straps. Fabulous shape. Beading is generally good and mirror discs - no obvious losses. Small strand of bugle beads missing from one shoulder but not immediately noticeable, a few detached clear bugle beads which we have in a bag.
1930s evening wear, comprising: Indian gold thread embroidered burgundy wool coat; embroidered black crepe jacket; Alexedis of Grosvenor St black chiffon evening gown; and a bugle beaded hat, average bust size 86cm, 34in (4) CONDITION REPORT: · Embroidered coat - generally good condition, embroidery and ground are good, damask satin lining is generally good · Beaded 'halo' hat - dusty but otherwise good · Black crepe jacket with strapwork - good condition, no problems · Alexedis dress - small moth holes, 0.5cm hole in left sleeve, fair condition
A dark-pink chiffon flapper dress, circa 1928, beaded overall with sun-ray points in shades of gold bugle beads, matching integral belt, bust 107cm, 42in CONDITION REPORT: Shoulders need re-backing to strengthen, L shaped tear 3x2cm at left shoulder near seam. Shoulder seam needs re-stitching 1cm at right. Rear hem has been raised approx. 4cm by folding fabric at waistline - this is reversible. Waistband needs re-stitching at back. Good condition otherwise, beading and colour are very good
A beaded black chiffon tabard dress, circa 1924-5, covered with a shimmer of black bugle beads with blue beaded flowerheads, open down one skirt side with waist tie, bust approx 92cm, 36in; together with a bias cut chiffon dress c.1929 with Joseph Urban print of stylised peacocks, bust approx 92cm, 36in; and a pair of 1930s Japanese kimono style printed rayon pyjamas in original box (qty) CONDITION REPORT: Dress - generally good condition, beading is good with no obvious losses. Chiffon ground is sturdy and good, looks little worn. There are a few floating strands of black bugle beads but we have secured these and loose beads are in a bag. Peacock chiffon dress - print by Joseph Urban, good condition, no problems. Pyjamas and kimono are unworn - box is a bit battered.
A beaded and embroidered couture ivory chiffon bridal or presentation tunic-dress, circa 1928, adorned with couched love knots, rhinestones, floss silk and bugle beaded bands, bust approx 92cm, 36in; together with an ivory chiffon and silver lace edged trained with large pearl and silver beaded bow; and a quantity of lingerie c.1900-20 (qty) CONDITION REPORT: Dress: faint champagne stain to back right neck-bodice area, dress would have been worn with a silk underslip which is missing, embroidery and beading are good, slight tarnishing to love-knots on shoulders. Train: it is non-matching with the dress, though similar colours and dress has pres-studs to attach. Gold lace and pearl bead embroidery is generally good but numerous scattered small holes and 8x6cm L-shaped tear. Lingerie: fair/poor condition, silk nightie has tear at left underarm, matching knickers have a rip rear waist centre back, monogrammed split drawers have a few holes and repairs, lace trim has been removed from neck edge of bed cape.

Circlet to the centre with regimental details and strung bugle. Two lug fittings to the reverse. Accompanied by a small type early other ranks cap badge with lug fittings on the reverse. Rare single plumes bugle and O.U.R.V scroll and a pair of bugle and plumes silver collar badges worn by the Oxford University Rifle Volunteers. Victorian 60th Foot Other Ranks Glengarry Badge circa 1874-1881, being a 2nd pattern blackened example. Maltese cross with battle honours to the arms. Top scroll with PENINSULA and lowers scroll the motto CELER ET AUDAX. Circlet to the centre with regimental details and strung bugle with 60 to the centre. Between the arms of the cross our four lions. Two lug fittings on the reverse of the badge. Good overall condition.

Victorian The Kings Royal Rifle Corps Foreign Service Helmet Plate, being an other ranks example of the blackened Victorian crowned Maltese cross sitting on tablet with battle honours to each arm. Circlet to the centre with regimental details and strung bugle with red cloth backing. Reverse of the plate is fitted with three lug fittings. Plate remains in good condition.
