An Edwardian 1878 Home Service Pattern Blue Cloth Helmet, with gilt brass spike and ear rosettes and a brass helmet plate to the Durham Light Infantry, lacks chin scales; a Copper Bugle, with brass mounts by Henry Potter & Co., London, dated 1911 and with Out of Service arrows; a 1907 Bayonet, the blade with issue date for June 1918, with steel mounted leather scabbard; a Swedish M1896 Mauser Bayonet, with steel scabbard; a Pair of Nickel Rowel Spurs (6)Condition report: The left side of the helmet is squashed in, lacks chin scales. The bugle is dented. Both bayonets have rust pitting to the hilts and scabbards.

A Wedgwood creamware dessert service, circa 1810, the borders decorated with bugle vine on a sage ground, comprising a two-handled comport and stand, two tureens, covers and stands, four lozenge shaped dishes and fifteen plates, impressed marksCondition report: Plates - discolouration to some of the fields and toical rubbing to the rims, rubbing to the fluting. One plate has two cracks to the rim, one plate has been broken in two to the rim and glued, one plate with a slither to the rim which has been glued and one with surface chips out to the rim. The comport is stained to the interior, lozenge shaped dish with staining to the field. The tureens are generally in good condition with the slighetst of crazing and rubbing. An early embroidered silk reticule, circa 1790-1810, hand-stitched pale pink silk bag, the front elaborately embroidered in pale silk thread and gold metal threads with a large central satin stitch floral motif, surrounded by 10 foliate circles, each enclosing a flower of pink silk ribbon embroidery, embellished overall with beads, foliate circle design repeated on upper flap, the back similarly worked, with a heart motif in centre enclosing a flower of ribbon embroidery, border and flap edged with foliate sprays, small area 1.5cm long on rear beginning to perish, lower edge with 3.5cm fringe of seed and bugle beads, carrying loops composed of 3 plaited strands of gold metal cord held by a band of gold metal lace on each side (one side with the loss of a few stitches), lined with cream silk (largely intact) with matching ruched ribbon to opening, dimensions not including fringe 30.5 x 21cm (12 x 8.25ins)Qty: (1)Footnote: A beautifully worked reticule surviving in unusually good condition.

WW1 British Denim Trench Cap of the 11th County of London Regiment The Finsbury Rifles, fine example of a combat worn trench cap produced in the later denim cloth material. Cap is complete with its original regimental cap badge to the front, thin black leather chinstrap and strung bugle side buttons. Interior has the original oilskin cloth lining which shows some cracks and wear. Some period repairs to the body which adds to the character of the cap. Overall a good example.

Housed in its brown leather covered field service scabbard. Heavily polished blade with remains of the etched decoration including foliage, strung bugle and crowned VR cipher. Blade 80 ½ cms, overall 95 ½ cms. Some damage to the scabbard.

Blade etched with crossed lances, strung bugle, Victorian crown foliage and reverse with the same but the regimental details 28th Cheshire Rifle Volunteers. Owners initials to shield at the forte. Blade 81 ½ cms, overall 98cms. Untouched as found.

Other side of the blade etched with Royal Warrant, Edward VII cipher, foliage and retailers details of Hobson & Sons London. Blade 83cms, overall 102cms.
