Three lug fittings to the reverse; Victorian other ranks helmet plate of the First Surrey Rifles, being a blackened brass Maltese cross plate with Victorian crown to the top arm, circlet with regimental details within and centre voided strung bugle having “1” to the centre, scroll below the crown with “1803-1859” and lower scroll with motto “CONCORDIA VICTRIX”. Three lug fittings to the reverse of the plate. Much of the blackened finish worn from the plate; Victorian other ranks Kings Royal Rifle Corps blackened helmet plate in the form of crowned Maltese cross with battle honours within arms of the cross, circlet with regimental details and voided strung bugle to the centre. George V Presentation 1845 Rifle Officers Sword by Wilkinson, No. 50363, blade etched with crowned royal cipher and arms, strung bugle and scrolls with cartouche containing ‘Presented to Lieut F S L Smith by Major Sir H H Raphael Bart. MP’, regulation nickel plated guard and scabbard. Good condition. Overall 100.5cms, blade 83cms.

Plated backstrap with part checkering. Shagreen covered grip with wire binding. Contained in its blackened steel scabbard with two loose hanging rings. Some dents.
