Pierced steel guard with Vic crown strung bugle cartouche. Steel pommel and plain backstrap. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its leather scabbard with white metal mounts. Old repair to lower scabbard.

Contained in its blackened steel scabbard. Sword tight and not fitting properly.

Linen lining with faint maker's stamp. Leather sweatband and chinstrap. Complete with a green over white, short horsehair plume. Some fur loss to body.

A collection of Victorian mourning capes and coats, 8 women's black mourning garments, comprising 5 capes: 2 with jet beading, 1 with appliquéd decoration and ostrich feather trim, 1 of figured satin with cutwork shoulder flaps, and the other of lace over green satin lining, and 3 coats: a knee-length coat with appliquéd decoration to shoulders and sleeves, with woven label 'Costello, Ladies' Tailor' [Hull], a velvet bolero with cutwork collar, ownership woven hanging loop label at nape 'Mrs Melbourne, 71 Boar Lane, Leeds', and a jacket with lace and cutwork insertions, various sizes and all with varying degrees of wear, together with: 2 beaded flapper dresses, 1920s, 1 oyster pink, the other black with tasselled skirt, both in need of repair; a cream satin handmade wedding dress, circa 1940s, neckline embellished with pearls and bugle beads, v-waist and gathered skirt with short train, long sleeves with pointed cuff fastened with 8 small mother of pearl buttons, metal zip closure to rear (broken), some faint spotting and light soiling, a few tiny holes in train, bust 74cm (29ins), waist 60cm (23.5ins), sleeves 60cm (23.5ins), length at front 139cm (55ins) and at back 172cm (68ins), with accompanying long-tailed satin bow, full-length underslip, and net tiara edged with pearls and bugle beads; and a small child's green hand-smocked frock with puffed sleeves and peter pan collarQty: (12)

A silvered die stamped example featuring Guelphic crown, thistle sprays, a mullet, strung bugle horn, the Sphinx and Dragon, and variable double scrolls, three loops to the rear, Guelphic Crown strengthened plate to the rear, otherwise good condition £80-£120

AN 1803 PATTERN LIGHT COMPANY OFFICER'S SWORD, 76.5cm curved blade decorated with scrolling foliage, a stand of arms, an infantry officer, crowned GR cypher and crowned Royal arms, regulation pierced gilt hilt incorporating a crowned GR cypher and a strung bugle horn, flat lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, complete with bullion and silk knot. Scabbard lacking and minor crack to hilt side bar.
A RARE WIVR REGIMENTAL PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD TO THE 43RD (MONMOUTHSHIRE) REGIMENT OF FOOT, 82.5cm pipe backed blade with spear point, etched with a crowned WIVR cypher, a crowned strung bugle horn over XLIII over a laurel wreath and maker's panel for OSBORN, regulation copper hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard. Small repair to fishskin.
An 1827 pattern Rifle Regiment officer’s sword, plated 1845 pattern blade 31½”, etched with crowned VR, bugle and scrolled panels, regulation pattern hilt with wire bound fishskin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Basically GC (dark russet patina to hilt and scabbard, with possibly light pitting). £60-120.
Victorian Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Shako, good example of the green cloth bodied shako with blackened brass strung bugle shako badge to the centre, marks where the regimental knotted boss badge was once present. Knotted cord and other ranks green brush plume still present. Light tan leather sweatband to the interior and leather thin pattern chinstrap. Some wear and stitching faults to the liner but otherwise a good example.
Kings Royal Rifle Corps Officers Astrakhan Busby, fine example with black wool body and green cloth top having knotted pattern. Twist knotted cord with blackened strung bugle fitting. Central headdress badge with the crown fitted to the centre of knotted boss. Blackened leather backed chinstrap. Complete with the original officers feathered plume. Interior with tan leather sweatband, black cloth lining and tailors diamond. Overall very good condition.
WW1 Imperial Russian Military Bugle, tall brass bugle with central cartouche in the form of the Russian double headed eagle emblem. Missing its mouth piece. Heavily dented and worn. Label inside the bugle states found in Russia during WW1, possibly brought home as a souvenir from operation Archangel.
Victorian Rifle Brigade Officers Cross Belt Plate, fine example of a silvered (not hallmarked) cross belt plate with crowned WATERLOO tablet with Maltese cross centre having battle honours to each arm, circlet centre with regimental details and strung bugle, lower tablet with PENINSULA, all within a laurel wreath.
