Welsh. Royal South Wales Borderers Militia Victorian OR’s glengarry badge circa 1876-81. Die-stamped brass crowned oval ‘ROYAL SOUTH WALES BORDERERS MILITIA’ resting in two leeks, Prince of Wales’s plumes over strung bugle to voided centre. Brass loops East and West VGC Designated as such in 1876 with the secondary title Royal Radnor & Brecknock Rifles. In 1881 became 3rd (Militia) Bn SWB. Provenance : Bosleys September 2005, Lot 140.
Britains post WW2 Line Bandsmen from set 27 comprising bandmasters (3), boy drummer (12), cymbalists (2), trombonists (2), buglers with bugle to lips (4), bugles to side (8), flautists (2), bass drummer and euphoniumist, G-VG, a few faults, (35) 1 bandmaster with detached hand. Buglers blowing bugle, 1 with paint discolouration. Bugles at side, 1 helmet spike missing.
Sword: An 1827 Pattern Rifle Officers sword. Blade 32.5" by Robt Mole & Sons. Birmingham. Makers to the War & India Officers. Top of blade marked 'M3050'. Beautifully etched blade '1st Volunteer Bn The Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment'. Fine wire bound fishskin grip. Polished steel guard with string bugle logo. In its steel mounted (some pitting) leather scabbard with frog bar instead of hanging rings. An above average condition sword in excellent condition. Crown appears to be for Queen Victoria.

Steel guard with VR Cypher & strung bugle. In its steel scabbard. The whole in good condition for its age. A 'sleeper'.

Small type patent leather pouch with silvered crowned strung bugle badge of the Rifles to the centre. Remains in very good condition.
