AN 1803 PATTERN LIGHT COMPANY OFFICER'S SWORD, 71.5cm curved blade decorated with floral sprays, crowned GR cypher and the Royal arms, all with traces of gilt highlights on a blued ground, regulation pierced copper gilt hilt incorporating a strung bugle horn over a crowned GR cypher, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its copper mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount with maker's panel for Collins 52 Strand. Patination and pitting towards the tip of the blade and stud lacking from upper mount, chape worn and a contemporary brass replacement.
AN 1803 PATTERN LIGHT COMPANY OFFICER'S SWORD, 73.5cm curved blade etched with a small panel GILL'S WARRANTED, regulation pierced copper gilt hilt incorporating a strung bugle horn over a crowned GR cypher, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its copper gilt mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount with maker's panel. Scabbard leather creased above the chape, blade retains some original polish.

A 19th century Colonial silver snuff box, the base and cover marked DS twice, and S&S, (overstriking another), the lip of the cover also marked, possibly Cape, rectangular form, the hinged cover engraved 'From Jonathan Hall to William Hall', with the crest of a bugle and the motto 'firmoir quo paratior', length 7.2cm, approx. weight 3.3oz.
