Featuring the Douglas Star in the form of a roundel, flanked by a garland of five Scottish thistles on either side and with a bugle and ribbon to the bottom of the design to signify that the regiment is a light (rifle) regiment. The brooch measures approximately 48mm across and weighs approximately 4.8 grams.The Cameronian (Scottish Rifles) was renowned for being the fastest marching army in any country - 140 paces per minute.
