Stanley Baldwin and his wife visited Tregrehan House (home of the Carlyon family) on the 23rd June 1927, where they were entertained to a programme of general sports/music from Camborne Town Band and Bugle Silver Band followed by dancing on the green with music by the Camborne Jazz Band and the Launceston Umps band. 22 pages including advertisements. Tipped in is a letter signed by Edmund Carlyon and dated 21st Oct,1901, together with various newspaper cuttings relating to Ms Gillian Carlyon.Together with a souvenir programme relating to the Coronation Trip to London, May 26th & 27th,1937 by the North Cornwall Unionist Conservative and Unionist Assoc. Five pages with the programme giving details from arrival at Waterloo Station at 6.13 a.m. to departure that day at 11.30 p.m. culminating in ’’ any person getting lost, please go to the police station’’. Printed by the Launceston Printing Co, Launceston.
