[A 'Visitors Book' for The Bruton Galleries, Bond Street, London, n.p.: 1904-1936.] 113pp., manuscript, folio (283 x 245mm.) 113pp. of hand-written names and addresses, recto only, being approximately 2000 names including numerous members of the 'Discovery' expedition, including Ernest Shackleton, Edward A. Wilson, Charles Royds, Reginald Skelton, Clement Markham, Ernest E Joyce, and three Shackleton family members, two of them from the '12, West Hill' address, as well as Ellen Terry, Walter Jerrold, Baden-Powell, and Maria Ameila, Queen of Portugal, also a section of names under 'Hunting Exhibition- March 1936', numerous blank leaves to rear. (Mild toning.) Contemporary red morocco, gilt borders, g.e. (extremities rubbed, scuffing). Note: Bruton Galleries opened in 1904 and closed in 1907, having held exhibitions of the work of Beardsley, Austin Spare, Evelyn de Morgan and Edward Gordon Craig. One of the Bruton Galleries first exhibitions was of the 'Discovery/ Antarctic' expedition. Austin. 5-Lrs.); Defence Medal, nearly very fine (4) £140-£180 --- George Austin attested for the 5th (Royal Irish) Lancers and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 August 1914.
Three: Sergeant G. Austin, M.M., 17th Lancers 1914 Star (1325 Pte. G. Austin. 17/Lrs.); British War and Victory Medals (L-1325 Sjt. G. Austin. 17-Lrs.) good very fine (3) £180-£220 --- M.M. London Gazette 11 December 1918. George Austin attested for the 17th Lancers and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 8 November 1914. He was awarded his Military Medal, one of approximately 21 Military Medals awarded to the 17th Lancers for the entire Great War, as part of a batch awarded for operations on the Western Front during August 1918, one of 12 M.M.s. awarded to the Regiment for services in connection with the Allied offensive on the Western Front during August 1918. Note: The recipient’s M.M. is known to exist.

SIX BOXED AND THREE LOOSE MATCHBOX SERIES DIE-CAST MILITARY VEHICLES, the first is a Moko Lesney Ferret Scout Car no.61, good condition, box missing end panel,the second is a Saracen Personnel Carrier no.54, good condition with some loss to the top, rust to the wheel pins, box is in okay condition with minor wear, the third is a Moko Lesney Army Half Track MK.III no.49, tracks do move but not spinning freely on the wheels, little loss, sticker to the front, not perfect, box is missing an entire end panel which is loose in the lot, the fourth is a Moko Lesney General Service Truck / Lorry no. 62, good condtion, box is okay, the fifth is a Scamel break-down truck no.64, rust to the wheels, overall good with little loss , box is slightly crushed, the sixth boxed is a RAF pressure re-fueller no.73, again little loss, part of the sticker not on the model, one entire panel on the box is free, the three unboxed models are a Sladin Armoured car 6x6 no.67, an Austin MK 2 radio truck no.68 and a Service Ambulance Ford 3 Ton 4x4 no.63
